1. Opt for moisturising shampoo
2. Don’t skip deep conditioning!
3. Trim them endssss
4. Protect your hair when wearing beanies e.g. satin scarves/bonnets
5. Add heat/steam when deep conditioning
6. Don’t be afraid to include some oils
7. Protective styling!! (moisturise and trim beforehand) 4-6 weeks max
8. Hot oil treatments
9. Thick creams/butters >>>
10. If all things fail, seek professional help
Look at your diet and water intake also. Sometimes internal factors can contribute to external issues (skin, hair, etc.). Of course there are always people with trash diets with glorious hair and skin 😒🤣.
One of the most damaging aspects of winter is not just the cold air outside, but the dry inside air caused by heating systems. In addition to staying hydrated, I use a humidifier in my home. I even have a small one for my office. Humidifiers can help keep your hair and skin from drying out during the winter.
I hope thickity thickums is a shirt from your merch!!!! 👀👀🤗🤗
I’d been transitioning since last January, just big chopped last Thursday!!!! So excited and feel liberated but no one in my world understands or cares haha. Not relevant to comment. Either way. satin lined caps were LIFE for me throughout my transition. Somehow made a had work during our latest hot as hell weather in NY. Also got a satin cap from tress.com which is pretty cool. Although it’s not 100% satin.
I go back to work from maternity leave Jan 6 after 4 months. Been trolling the interwebs for some braided hairstyles I can wear as protective throughout the week.
congrats on your new bundle of joy 🤗
kandid kinks will set you right for your hair needs. 100% raw natural haircare truths.
watch - you'll see 🙂👍🏼💯👍🏼
Invest in a good dryer or bonnet attachment if it's too cold to air dry.
Great tip!
We need to talk about that lipstick girl ! And that glow ! Where does it come from ?
One of the simplest and most game changing tips I took from you a while ago is to add the oil directly after rinsing out my conditioner. It really works best for my type 4 high porosity hair.
Def a game changer!!
Do u add a leave in after that? My hair is high porosity also
Vanessa Williams yep. The water is my L for Liquid, the oil is my O and whatever I use next is my C for cream. That can be a creamy thick leave in. Then add my curling cream or butter. Depending on how I’m wearing my hair
@@MsHoneyFly11 ok thanks
Happy Hanukkah!!
Blessings From Texas 🤠
I've really appreciated the 12 days, well done girl and thank you!!
You hit the nail on the head with the protective style if not taking care of your hair then you’ll be taking out damaged hair. Watched all kinksmas videos
Thanks love!
Tfs. Thanks for your hard work. It kept me entertained and informed.
Congratulations on completing your 12 days of Christmas!!! Awesome job! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each of them. ❤️
I need to be where ever winter only lasts 3 months. Try 5 to 6 in Michigan.
Come to Florida its 70 degrees 🏖today.
Jw Lol. It’s been mild here this month. Yesterday was 60. I’ll take that.
Lol im just here in Canada like 👁👄👁
thank you for sharing with us these past 12 days ... awesome sauce 🤗🤗🤗🤣😂
Lexie,
I have watched every video for the 12 days of Christmas. Your videos are the only one/series I have watched or looked forward to watching. Never a dull moment either. Thanks for always being you and being honest with us re: the products😂😂😂. Hoped you had a wonderful Christmas. Wishing for you and yours a prosperous new year...much success and bigger ventures for 2020. God’s willing see you in the new year!🎊🎊💐💐🎉🎉👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I purchased a few bonnet sewed them in my knit caps.
I’ve been waiting for you to do a winter care tips. Jesus Christ help me! Yow... I live in Iceland and for the life of me I can’t seem to wear my hair out without it completely drying out in 2 hrs. I’m so desperate that I’m thinking about using grease! Jah know 😩
Merry Christmas :)
martylopia I live in Michigan and the winters are crazy here. I used hair grease all last winter and hair grease saved my hair. I never, ever wear my hair outside in the winter unless I’m going to church. Then my hair is only out from the car to the door. I keep it covered and comb it when I get where I’m going.
mswtaz94 yea I’m getting really fed up (I’ve chopped my hair off every year because of this). I’m trying to do some more research on grease. I have high Porosity hair and man! I plucked some hair out the other day while it was out and put it in a glass and my strand STANK immediately! I had Shea butter on my hair... still dried out. 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ maybe grease is my answer!
martylopia We grew up using grease on our natural hair and it thrived. My husband urged me to go back after I kept complaining my hair was always dry. I kept cutting my ends off. When I went back to grease I didn’t get another single strand knot and no more bushy ends. My crown stopped acting crazy and filled out and retained length.
martylopia try the oil right after rinsing your conditioner. I’m telling you it was a game changer in the moisture department
I watched all 12 vids...we appreciate you!
All of these tips are on point 🙌🏿 I like the Design Essentials almond and avocado moisturizing shampoo. I just started using in August and my hair is doing a lot better. I used to clarify every week 🤦🏿♀️Also deep conditioning after every wash with heat has really helped my hair out this year. My hair is low porosity
Loved that grin before saying you live in Miami lol. Great Christmas vlogs too!
Great 12 days videos... Really enjoyed it. Happy Holidays..🎄🥂❤
Thank you for the twelve days of Christmas; what a gift! Also, I like my twist outs; I just want more length (3 years natural and transitioned from a relaxer)! How did you endure short twist outs until your hair grew to a shoulder-length twist out in the front?
You did hun!!!!! I truly enjoyed thise 12 videos a d they were very Informative. Specially this one. I love you and happy Holidays!!!❤

Could you do a video on how being vegan has impacted your hair growth?
Do you still use aloe Vera juice after washing and Dc?
You’re gorgeous and awesome 👏 new subscriber
Don’t tease me with the merch 😩
Hey beautiful 🎄
How do you incorporate a hot oil treatment with your wash day do you shampoo then use the hot oil treatment or did shampoo n condition then use your hot oil ?
Francine Maultsby most people either prepoo with hot oil or they add oil to their deep conditioner then deep condition with heat
I like to add it to my conditioner or after shampoo and before deep conditioning
I have low porosity hair with fine strands. I prefer to do hot oil treatments pre-shampoo. This way I get the benefits of the oil without worrying about the oils weighing down my hair or clogging up my scalp.
12 of 12😛
I need a trim in my hair really bad lol I’m getting the hang of my 4c hair. My curl pattern has yet to come in but I’m ready for the journey.
😊😍🙌🏾
