As a Baylor fan I hope both teams win the rest of their games and duke it out again in the big 12 championship game.

Time of possession won the game. OU possessed the ball for 41:11, versus Baylor's 18:49. That allowed our defense to be rested; while Baylor's defense was getting worn out. Kudos to the defense for stepping up in the second half. I'm appreciative of their effort; but I recognize that some people are crediting them with the win, so they don't have to give any credit to Jalen Hurts.
@@traeucity6087 I was very proud of how Jalen got it together.. But if you told anybody before the game that we'd shut out Baylor in the second half, even Sooner fans wouldn't have believed it..You see our defense has taken the blame for all of our losses in big games the last few years..So know they definitely deserve it because we had no answer for Baylor defensively, in the first half..So that's why they say defense wins Championships..

They sealed the win but did not win the game. Offense scored those points. Coaching, clock management, and them believing in their abilities.
It was a complete 2nd half by team, gotta play that way last 2 regular season games to try and get back to the Big XII Championship game!!!!
The defense, indeed, won this game. They pitched a shutout in the second half. Baylor is better than the press gives them credit for, so the shutout was necessary and impressive! The offense played great in the second half. In fact, I think the second half was the best OU has played all year.
@ They were barely on the field because they got two turnovers or forced Baylor to punt without long drives.

Show us your PERFECT THROWS, AND YOU BETTER NOT HAVE INTERCEPTIONS OR TURNOVERS! Put your so called talents where your mouths are!! You all actually think that your complaints are hurting Jalen...If he

Question I would like to hear is what his and grinchs thoughts on holding on to timeouts in the first half. Do they ever have the feeling like they should use them maybe to slow down a tempo drive to help their defense or Offense. Just wondering what their thoughts are on that.

@barry walker preach my brother..... ignorance is not taught there born into it this man continues to play hard and if u know football u will Know that Jalen keeping the offense on the field is the reason Baylor offense stop clicking sometime u need a game manager to control the game I'm sure Nick misses that sometimes scoring too fast and too often puts the defense in a bad situation.....but great job Sooners and also Jalen....... TOTAL TEAM WIN.....

Jalen has a fabulous team to lean on. Unfortunately, he is leaning on them rather than the team leaning on him. We were just lucky that our D pulled him out of the Texas game and unfortunately, they didn't pull him out of the K-State game.
@@dianalynn3600 The OU offense scored 41 points against KSU. When a football team scores 41 that team should win the game. By the way, I am not an OU fan. Just trying to be objective.
@@dianalynn3600 The D allowed 48 points in K State game. He had three rushing TDs e.g. scoring on his own, and a passing TD, no pics. He is literally the only reason you were even in that game. He threw for 3 TDs and ran 1 in against Texas and had one pic, your argument makes zero sense. Stellar numbers in those games.

I don't know if I've l lulled myself into a false sense of confidence for the possible title rematch, but if we can play THAT BAD in the first half, while also making some critical mistakes in the second half, to be able to come back in such a dominant fashion shows a lot. Now, Riley and the rest of the coaching staff has learned a lot and will be ready for a possible rematch. If we can not start as horribly, I'd feel pretty good playing them again in the title game. Opinions?
4 more games. It appears OU may be a juggernaut, having established running game and their passing. I think this development may be striking fear into TCU, OSU, Baylor again and LSU when OU is #4 and LSU is #1.
I guarantee the other coaches saw something very scary.
Code of sportsmanship? They didn't kick a FG to rub it in. It was to help them in case of a tiebreaker.
OU beat Western Carolina 70-0 this year, scoring 14 points in the 4th quarter.
That means they were up 56-0 at the start of it and decided to tack on another 14.
Where's the sportsmanship in that?

It’s justifiable imo. Of course he’s a phenomenal athlete but the fact of the matter is that the hole we were in early was mostly due to Jalen making mistakes. On the series he threw a pick we ran I think 3 option plays as well all of which he errantly kept and lost yardage on. If he would have handed it off it would have gone for a pretty nice chunk of yardage. Of course nobody is perfect and he’s clearly one of the better QBs in college but because of that he’s held to a higher standard and will be scrutinized more than most

@@dianalynn3600 , Some people wanted Tanner Mordecai to be the face of OU football. Some resent Jalen for "using OU" to increase his NFL stock. Strangely, the same sentiments were not expressed when Baker and Kyler transferred from other schools. The bottom line is this... Jalen was not anointed as the QB; he WON the starting position! It's my opinion that if Tanner would have been named the starting quarterback, OU would be chalking up losses and attributing them to us being in a rebuilding year. Critics of Jalen would prefer a quarterback like Charlie Brewer, from Baylor. Charlie lost on Saturday. Jalen won.

Jalen needs to take care of the ball better, 2 fumbles and a interception. We got lucky and things started going are way, the defense created those 2 turnovers and got some stops in the 2 half. the whole team rallied together in the 2nd half as a team and won the game. 👊👊👊 BOOMERSOONER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jalen needs to sit on the bench. He obviously can't take care of the ball. Would love to see Spencer Rattler start. This season is over, use it to give Spencer some good experience as he is OU's future.
