Whew! I can’t tell you what a relief it was to hear you ladies properly pronounce the word “pecan.” Whenever I hear people say “pee-can” it’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears 😮. If you’d like to turn some of those beautiful pecans into pralines (that’s “prah-leene” not “pray-leene” 😬) I can send you a fool-proof recipe - no candy thermometer necessary. Including some homemade pralines with your next small for an exchange would be a big hit - and an opportunity to to spread the proper way pronounce “pecan” and “praline” 😆. @carolinacajuncreates

When you mentioned having not heard of Tabby Cat Fabrics you bought at Hobby House I smiled cause I knew why. Those of us that watch Nicole Parkman from the UK and owns Hands Across The Sea. She mentions them frequently in her videos as they are one of her favorites fabric dyers. Also she just had a retreat at Hobby House which was just before your visit. Love your videos and have watched every one!
Hi! This is my first time watching your Flosstube! It was so fun and kept me company while I stitched. I so appreciated Pam’s detailed description of Plum Street’s “A New Constellation”! I don’t have a LNS, so it’s not easy to learn the details of certain charts. I’m not much in to patriotic stitching, so have just overlooked this chart. But when Pam have all the HISTORY that is included in the chart - that peaked my interest. So now I’ve added it to my “Add to Stash” list. Thank you!!

We adopted a cat who sneezed a lot Vet couldn’t help it but I was allergic to him. Years later I found dried snot in places. As he got older he didn’t do it.

One LNS is an hour west of me, and another one is one and half-hour south of me. I am looking for a couple of ladies who love cross stitching and want to get together to stitch, laugh, share, and help each other. And even some road trips now and then.

Welcome home! It's the time of year for putting the electric throw in your lap and settling in for some long term stitching. I'm so glad that I lived long enough that designers no longer feel the necessity of making 30-40% of their patterns be backstitching. Absolutely loved the Betsy Ross history. I adore it when Pam puts on her Librarian hat. I LOVE that you buy wine based on the cute label!! When I go to the horse races, I always bet based on the name of the horse, and how likely they are (based one their name) to be featured in a vampire romance novel.

Fun one and love seeing you all between all your trips! Staying unplugged once in a while for a little while is always a good thing glad you’re home safe. Christmas is coming and all things colder is finally here! Here in Texas it seems to take it so much longer to get colder and I’m still not used to how long it takes to cool down here! Born in Mi in August of 1965 then moved to Texas in June 1992 and now it’s 2022! Ok Steph story problem for you. Which state have I lived in longer! Haha Cuz Math! Mine was the one that Jane from BosStitchers brought. :) You got some great charts and kits from the freebie table. I got the Waxing Moon chart in the mail a couple of days ago. Didn’t know about the kit so I’m going to call today. Have a great weekend! We have remnants of Hurricane Nicole on the way…great excuse for getting cozy with my stitching (not that I need one).

Pam, I just love how your stitching reflects your interests. We get a little history lesson along with scratching our cross stitch itch! I have been wondering about how you arrange your stitched pieces behind you. Do you have multiple nails in the wall or do you just replace each piece with a like sized piece when you switch them out? Or do you use something other than nails? I have never heard you mention anything about this when you do your Tour de Wall (which I love!).
We rearrange pieces using existing holes whenever we can.

I was fortunate to go to a retreat at the Stitchery Nook in July where those 3 Waxing Moon Designs ornaments were introduced & were our retreat project. Liz gave us a finishing class and they are beautiful. I look forward to seeing yours Pam! Loved your recap of your retreat and stop at Hobby House. That shop is on my bucket list of shops. Come to Iowa sometime and retreat with us in Osage! Just be sure to let me know you are coming!!

Veteran’s Day is to honor all Veterans and Memorial Day is to honor those that have “fallen” or gave their lives for our Country.
Sadly, I didn’t realize how important these two days were until my son enlisted (behind my back!) and I worried and worried until he finally made it back alive from Afghanistan. His best friend was not so lucky.😢

I read a biography about Betsy Ross when I was in the 4th grade, over 50 years ago. I love to learn about her and was able to visit her home in Philadelphia. I am going to have to purchase this pattern! Also just love the purple linen and cat whisker fabric! The retreat at the farm sounds so charming. I would love to go to a retreat some day. I am very curious about Teresa Kogut’s patron. I’m not sure how it works but I loved the Christmas Kitty. Thanks for all the enabling!!!

One of my cats is a chronic sneezer i think she has allergies like me because she’s always sneezing and chronically drippy. My vet told me as long as the liquid stays clear it’s not a concern, I hope the same is true for your fur baby!
