When Kornaki and others like him come on with their big-screen maps, we hit mute or change the channel. I'd much rather watch someone like Ali Velshi sitting down with a group of likely voters and having an actual discussion about issues.

Absolutely, that and ppl like me who don't get polled and don't post much on social media and don't usually vote in mid-term elections. Also, the young vote was huge. Young ppl 18-29 came out strong for democrats with over 10 points going to democrats contrasted by millennial voters having only 2 points over going for democrats.
Anyone who calls themselves "undecided" right now is at best wildly ignorant of everything going on, or more likely, is just a Republican too embarrassed by the party to admit it.

Well I hope for the best. No matter who is in control they have to start working on the things bringing this country down. Im Republican but I respect the majority. I think it’s just a matter of two different lifestyles. Cities are all democratic and most suburbs and outskirts of cities are republican. But I just hate that we are so divided. I'm a Democrat but I'm in the middle on a lot of topics. But we all must come together regardless how much someone likes Trump and get him out the picture . It won't solve everything but it will solve alot. And I truly believe he is the reason there was not a red wave as history and polls would have thought it would of been. It shows of how many Trump back election deniers lost.
The problem is that the middle in this country is so far to the right that it’s gonna take a long time to actually return us to sanity. It looks like the kids are pretty progressive which will be useful going forward. Mostly I just wanna make sure we stop moving towards a theocracy.

If you're a republican, I think you need to be part of the wave that thoroughly rejects Trumpism. That particular rot is killing your party. I'm a leftist - not a liberal - and I would probably disagree on most of your policy positions, but I can respect them, at least. If you want things to go back to normal, start raising your voice about the injustices committed primarily by your party over the last few years. Don't give them your vote; they are not interested in playing fair right now. If the party purges itself properly, that would be the time to go back.
