They sound like Nickleback doing a Pearl Jam impression. Those vocal harmonies, guitar/drum build up in the intro, and predictable formulaic songwriting is all pure Nickleback.

I think its because he started to try singing out of his actual vocal range. It seems they have gone back to a low vocal range again in the new stuff.
