Another wonderful episode, really liked the fact Leslie was content with her Yamaha,often wonder if instruments didn’t have a label how many would be played on stage , would lesser brands dominate? Leslie has a very nice approach to her tunes and vocals , good choice👏🏻🎶👍
Nice guitar and I confirm what Diego Baruffini stated: it was not produced in the seventies. I bought mine (a Tobacco sunburst, exactly the same) in 1984. My first "serious" guitar. The neck is a bit too chunky for my hand but not a major drawback

Back in the eighties I think (I cannot be 100% accurate) that I paid between 100 and 200 euros for that beautiful guitar. Have you tried to ask on reverb? Browsing through forums ? One idea could be to look for printed yamaha catalog of the early eighties. Somebody should still have them. The customer service of Yamaha could be another possibility. Let me know if you find information.

@@jaimefairedubruit2582 Congratulations for finding the catalog! That's brilliant! It is very strange that this guitar does not appear in it... At least the the version which is not sunburst should be in there... My guess is that in 1981 the street price was lower than 275 dollars. When I bought this guitar the seller told me that the top was solid (spruce) but not the back and sides (laminated mahogany). Keep me updated, I really like this guitar.
I am buying this exact model as well. would love to get more info so keep me in the loop if you can find any. such a great tone character from 40 years ago.
