If anyone is wondering where this mario is from, its based on an image from the Super-Mario-A-Thon of 1986. Participants would be playing the original Super Mario and based on how many points you got you could win a prize. (pizza, an NES, etc.)
@alexanderdemander9541 yeah but the ending screen is based on/ took inspiration from the 1986 Super-Mario-A-Thon Image.
@alexanderdemander9541actually, he’s also based off this Spanish Mario creepy pasta called “Mario asesino” where a guy named Mike Robertson dresses up in a Mario costume and kills a family that won a supposedly rigged contest to win a free N64
It's also based off *Super Mario Aseino* or "Super Mario Assassin" I think? Which is about a man who LOSES said Super Mario A-athon cause of it being rigged against him, and so dons a Mario costume and murders everyone close to the guy orchestrating the event. (I think..)

It's insane how much of an upgrade this is over v1. Arguably one of the best songs in MM v2 now.
I personally think it's way worse than the original. The let's a go is to quiet, and lacks that true despair from the original. Also, the first one felt like it wasn't actually the finale, but he was really pretending to be. The ending didn't trail of, removing the feel that Costume just gave up. Also, the voice blended too much into the instrumental for me. Still, I respect your opinion 👍

But just better. And i assume kenny remade the song because they weren't fully proud of the original so it might not feel great to see people call the old one better

This is such a step up from v1. This version sounds more like a final boss than v1, the length of v1 wasnt long enough imo but v2 fixes that and v2 still keeps 1:03.
Im glad we get more fnf covers but i dont see why ikenny coulndt just publish v1, believe it or not alot of people like v1.

IMO I just really don’t like this new version since it just lacks the snappiness and fast pace nature of the original. Certain patterns feel like they just drag on and on. What happened to the intensity of the song? Plus, the instrumental is a MAJOR downgrade. It sounds so generic… And how it just, cuts off. (yes the original also ends abruptly but it at least fades out)

To be fair I agree, the beats just don't feel as aggressive as v1, although the vocals got improved a LOT.
Another small issue I have is with the final part, in v1, Costume's vocals went high pitched out of nowhere, that's not the case here, and I hate it

@@Alt3_rnate I just don't like it because it is almost impossible to hear costume in certain turns at the final part, as the instrumental and bf drown him out, and since his vocals are very deep, it's hard to hear him and also a way for me to cope with the high pitched vocals lmao
