I’m house hunting in South Tampa. For me and my wallet, it’s Hyde Park 👍🏻. Lovely spacious old homes ✅. Well taken care of lawns/homes ✅. Bayshore Drive and the sidewalk ✅. Hyde Park Village ✅. LOCATION. LOCATION. LOCATION. ✅✅✅. I don’t find Hyde Park to be particularly expensive. I’m looking at 1.6 to 2M. I guess it’s all whats important to you.

If that is a good price range for you, then it is such a lovely area to live!

Wondering why you didn't mention Port Tampa? All the flooding, crime etc?

There is public transportation in Tampa which is great with the high gas prices.

I love S Tampa. I worked there for 5 years and socialized there as well. That's where I wanted to live. Should have bought there in 2012 or 13. It's the best place to live but housing is unaffordable for most. Many retired ball players and hockey players live there as does the Steinbrenner family. Gorgeous houses by Bayshore. My friend has an older home in Palma Ceia right on the bay

Hey Sam! I'm moving to Tampa hopefully around November or December. I'm moving from NC and going to be staying in Orlando at my Fiance's Moms house for part of October and November to try to scout out places in Tampa and getting a job there to qualify for an apartment. I was wondering what areas are good to move to in the Hillsborough area for $1000-$1250 a Month? Also, do you think its better to rent sooner or later this year?

Hey Nick. I don't know a whole lot about rentals, but I can help you with areas. If you search for rentals online, then email me some that you like, I can give you some feedback on what those areas will be like. info@livingintampafl.com
