This is the highlight of the year. I'm currently in bed with covid, waiting for the event to start today

I'm in 2 minds on this. Sure it's great to see the best pros go head to head, but the defining feature of triathlon has been that the amateurs line up on the same course at (roughly) the same time as the pros. Once we start to move to pro only events it just changes the entire dynamic. Sure it's exciting, but also something has been lost.
Pros still need to make a living out of their passion for sports. Amateurs generally have a full-time job and love to see how triathlon is done by actual pros. Not every sport gives us the opportunity to race alongside pros, so let's not take it for granted.
Seeing The Icons of the sport: Dave Scott and Mark Allen make thos event even more special... whooooah!

That's why they didn't pit him against sam and jan. I think they want a win out of lionel, and he has a better chance not in that super group. Still kinda bummed about the selection, though.
Anyone not a fan of how territories are separated? I mean like team USA??? Is one country. Team Europe is many countries and has so much to offer. To name a few Javier Gomez, allister brownlee, vincuint Luis, etc. sorry if I spelt wrong. Than team international? Like how?
Again excited, but I’d rather see setup better IMO.
If they did team North America vs Europe, it would be more even, but North America would probably win.
All of Europe against just USA is kind of rigging it though
