I’m used to hearing this version instead of Mutya’s, only because I didn’t know about the band til around 2006 and ‘Taller In More Ways’ was rereleased with some of the re-recorded songs with Amelle. Now looking back I feel like they should’ve re-recorded another song on the album or added another new song with Amelle on it, considering that Mutya’s verse was about her daughter and I can understand her for being upset about it and it does feel like a slap in the face imo.
Never understood the concept of this video... Obviously it alludes to a theme that is quite unnerving... BUT I dunno... it’s surprises me that the girls agreed to content and a treatment that borders on very dark. Am I missing something? Or have I completely misconstrued what’s going on in it?
Yip, it's a good tune. But as the videos came up, look up Laventi Bearie, he was Stalin's right hand man, got up to sick shit. That's what's referenced in the video
I would like to adapt this song by Sugababes into an Nuclear War Animated Film version “Tintin & Tintinmaiden: Follow Me Home” based on Raymond Briggs’ When The Wind Blows with Jim and Hilda Bloggs
This absolutely shouldn't have been a single after Mutya left. That it was (given, as others have pointed out, it was written about her daughter) and the fact it was given such an unnerving and borderline creepy video is a marker of the contempt that their management at the time (the same management, it should be pointed out, the reunited original lineup had to take to the High Court in order to legally get their name back) had over Mutya and what she bought to the group. As I said, the original lineup are now rightfully called the Sugababes once again and are getting their long overdue flowers. As for Crown Music Management... karma is a beep!
Great song, but yes, unsuitable video for young fans. Shame, cause obviously affected its lowly chart position. I recall the blonde girl who runs away was in an episode of Hugh Laurie's House...
I really hate Amelle's vocal on this song. It doesn't sound right and doesn't suit the song at all and to do a video of pervy old men touching young women is ridiculously creepy!!! Mutya wrote about her daughter here, it just seems inappropriate and a huge diss to her.
@@loveandpeace_totheworld she’s covering a song that Mutya wrote and sang of course they can be compared! Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean that people can’t have an opinion! 🙄
@Lava087 yeah but Siobhan is singing all the verses Heidi wrote and that are very personal to her. Such as Stronger. Mutya sings Amelles verses on About You Now. The group is unique. There was 6 members off that group all together.
This is really a beautiful song, Sugababes ballads were always stunning!!!
Keisha’s harmonies towards the end of this are just exquisite. She’s got such a beautiful voice.
it's the worst thing about this song, I always turn it off when she starts wailing from the bottle
This is my favourite ballad from the Sugababes ♥️
Love this song so much. This and "Gotta be you" are my favourite from this cd. And "Now youre gone". Best cd of them all
I've been searching for this for years! I thought it had it been wiped from existence, how am I only just now seeing it on TH-cam?
AhgaOrbiLuv Same!!!!
I could not find this video anywhere they finally uploaded it to TH-cam
I uploaded this video in 2013!!!! But sometimes the videos aren't available in some countries.
sugababes are so amazing
Amelle, your voice is perfect and unique

0:04 This song is about the Nuclear War
I love both version at the same. With Mutya and Amelle! They both are amazing singers and it's so dissappointing that they didn't work together!
Amelle was terrible.
@@jaywest3734 Amelle wasn’t terrible. She’s a good singer, but Mutya is way stronger than her, that’s the problem when people compared the two.
@@jaywest3734 You're just a hater.
@@MirkoP80I agree with you, Amelle is a amazing singer, she is one of my favourite singer.

Does it matter, just about none of the videos are profound or anyway something that requires deepes understanding, just enjoy the music.

I was thinking the same thing.
Creepy video for a beautiful song. Whose idea was this?

Cool
I love the song but i dont get the video lol

Gosh, annoying fanbase...

The video doesn't match the song at all. Why?
Listening to this version is just weird after listening to the Mutya one for so long. It's not nearly as good, imo.
Agree
Love the fuller backing track, but need Mutya's vocal.
Amelle sucks.

Amelle sounds great on this song.
So does Mutya.
They shouldn't be compared.

They needed Mutyas voice. Amelle just falls flat
I think Amelle basically ruined this group, she was lucky to be a part of the Sugababes at all.
You are just a slanderer. One of these kind of people you don't want around.
