This is the story you get if you go through the shamrock door in the beginning of "the nightmare before christmas"
Whats this? Whats this? There's a ruin over there! What's this? there's ghosts over there!
I live with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis and listen to this channel every night to fall asleep. Especially the Lovecraft stories! Keep up the awesome work!!
Thanks for listening, James!
hey i have the same issues and do the same thing!
Having a really, really hard time trying quitting anxiolytics, thanks for sharing your talented narrative with us! You have no idea how much this calms me to sleep (please take it as a compliment).Hope you're well!
Thanks! I wish you all the best with your recovery - that's the REAL stuff of nightmares. Ian
Thanks y'all! It's just a hard time, I'm sure I will be well very soon
Gotcha you will. Everything passes even pain and struggling. I know you’ll do it mate.
i Went through benzo withdrawal about 8 months ago, most awful experience of my life, but i got through it. I know you can too!
I completely forgot about this little gem. Thank you for bringing it to life!!!
I heard HPL wrote this for St.Patrick's day. There was a gathering of other authors that day. I'd be interested to know who the other authors were and if they wrote any stories for the holiday.
Reminds me of the shores of Lake Geneva in the cold summer of 1816...
Frogs. Always with the frogs!
I completely forgot about this story! Lovecraft was pure genius.
I love your user name! I called them Goofle-- quite on point, methinks! 💛
One of my favourite HPL stories, brilliantly brought to life by the best narrator ever!! 💛
Blessed to have discovered HorrorBabble🤗
Thank you for continuing to come back!
The moon bog... I had forgotten about this one, can't wait to see what memories it dredges up, switching to listening mode 👂😯
Haven't listened in a few days. H. P. Is always great to come back to.
First time I hear this story, very good as always.
I always love reading or listening to this story. The image of what was found, especially the description of the ruins and its architecture, has always astounded me.
Thanks for narrating this!
Terrific performance!
Truly a story that really invests you within the plot and setting. One of Lovecraft's best!
The notification I’ve been waiting for 🖤
Great story, thank you very much from Finland 😊
Great reading.I always wanted to go to Ireland, but I think I'll pass on it for now.Thank you.
Huge lovecraft fan. This is one of my favorites.
Well read! This is one of the more "normal" horror stories Lovecraft wrote but it's quite excellent nonetheless.
"I hate the moon; I fear it. For when it shines on certain scenes, loved and familiar, it makes them unfamiliar, and hideous."
Kilderry is an actual town (Kilderry is located in County Kerry, Ireland, on the N70 National secondary road between Milltown and Killorglin.). Wikipedia /forebears.io/ireland/leinster/kilkenny/kilderry
A great reading.
I do so enjoy your narrations

Lmfao! Ancient Irish bogs are especially challenging...
This was a really great reading and thank you for the reading!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, so that is why I forgot it. The locale was fantastic, the plot was tense, the mystery fascinating and it ends... with frogs. A bit underwhelming, and perhaps overexplained.
Somehow I forgot about this.
👍
ahh the oirish horror penned by H.P. L. reanimated by your good self!
This is a beautiful picture. Who's the photographer?
It was found on Pixabay. Thanks for asking... we'd forgotten to include a link to the photographer in the video description. Here you go: pixabay.com/photos/fog-moor-moorland-birch-tree-mood-1717410
really sorry to all HPLers, - LOL - thanks again for the “comicness” of another scary story. i really need the laughter it brings me 😹🐾
Alexa Penn whats funny? Is there a specific part or?
That's what happens
So I saw that you have The King In Yellow on audible, I assume you get money when I purchase it on that service? Certainly hope so, because I got it.
We do! Thank you!
Omg I am so excited - RW Chambers is one of my absolute favorites! I’m a medievalist, and I have worked on MR James and especially Tolkien. Chambers is so brilliant and has been so neglected (until fairly recently)
Ahh yes... The Italians and Slavs were always the highly superstitious ones in his stories.
NOOOOOO
WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?!?
The narrator definitely saw something nasty in the woodshed...
I know, right? Like did he just leave his buddy out there, like enjoy your new frog life. Hope you like bugs.
I've come to love this ending more and more. It's so haunting and anxiety inducing
@@jamesm9560 This made me laugh HAHAHAHHAHAHA
