    Does it have a gyro? It looks like its correcting itself during the drift, unless you're not countersteering, or its 4wd and the front is getting grip... couple possible reasons I guess.

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the DRZ has a gyro & the others do not since they are AWD

    One side is for racing and one side for drifting!

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not anymore, most racers run the smooth side since it provides a lot of grip & the rough side tends to create a lot of track dust. IME the smooth surface has too much grip to drift properly, but YMMV

    What about for touring, what are your thoughts on rwd VS awd? Subbed!

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for touring RWD all day long, they are so much more responsive. but the AWD are great since you can drift with hard tires, or tour with sticky tires, no need to change any other settings.

    wow the drz front end was all over the place, almost looked like the servo was causing issues.
    i have been using the LF-5's for mine but my track layout was also set up for much longer curves than what you have there. i found i can do on the spot rotations or the wider drifts, going around the barriers is much harder and takes time. looking at the video i wonder if everything is too tight and its just a different style of drift
    not using official rcp track and wondering if thats the difference, i do have some HDPE sheets coming in for low grip drift so am excited to see how they do

    The MA020 seems to be a better slider.
    Is yours with the stock motor?
    Nice video and cool idea.

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep stock motor on the ma-020 & the EVO has a 4100kv motor so they are comparable. But yeah the ma-020 was much easier to drive due to the weight distribution, the ma-030 has too much front weight & it increased the amount of grip significantly.
      Still lots of fun, hopefully one day I’ll get the set up dialed in on foam tiles so I can use these more often.

    Not sure if this is true, but I heard that you could flip the track and use the other side of the RCP tile which has less grid. Not owned one so never tried. And BTW great video. I was always thinking of getting one set of this thing but not sure if it can be used by drift.

    • @BMR3

    • @BMR3

    If you want to have the feeling of drifting on mats indoors with little space, get yourself a Sturmkind Dr!ft car. You even have Ice-Mode now:
    th-cam.com/video/BC3sCs7dsxM/w-d-xo.html
    Or Gymkhana style drifting on asphalt: th-cam.com/video/sT9qinN_Av4/w-d-xo.html
    I only enjoy 1:10 scale and up RC drifting. With the small scale I prefer the computer simulated scale speed display model that is Dr!ft. 🤷‍♂️

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I need to build a PC so I can get more into gaming lol. But yeah I feel like the simulations have come along way & are worth it.
      1/10th scale is cool but you need a lot more space & that's the issue I have, hence the micro sliders.

    • @muaythai193
      @muaythai193 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BMR3 The 1:43 Sturmkind Dr!ft car is real obviously, hope I didn’t explain that the wrong way, but it’s movements are simulated on your smartphone, with the car replicating what’s happening inside the sim.

      For the small scale it works really really well, as you can see in the vids. 👍

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know what you mean! But I also think part of it is the drift cars need a perfectly smooth surface more then anything else, & tiles tend to be uneven.
      That said, there is a Dnano scale track that’s made of hard plastic, one of my subscribers Scan 070 has it & has posted a few videos drifting on it. Here’s a link if your interested: th-cam.com/video/MRiAaqUQ1CY/w-d-xo.html

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah bro but look back at one of my first videos about drifting on tile floors. Sometimes it’s just not feasible since the tiles are super uneven, have large gaps, or the kitchen itself is too small.
      I would be interested in a interlocking drift track I could store easily.

      @@BMR3 I am currently working on making a cheap all used tripple ping pong table track. I have 3 now and all fold up and trying to figure out how to do it. One tabe would be fun but why not 3?!Lol 5x9 didnt seem like enough when I tried it. There are small gaps. May use tape.but trying to figure out whether I should do a carpet or not? What's your opinion on thin carpet for drifting? Or should I just use the ping pong table surface?

    • @BMR3
      @BMR3  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chuckwalters4759 honestly the ping pong surface is perfect IMO since I like a very low traction surface. Carport provide much more grip & result in higher speed drifts so it comes down to preference.
      If I was you I would just bridge the gap between tables with some of the wide painters tape, the blue kind. It shouldn’t mess with grip too much since it’s low traction in my experience.
