Callum ,I was in the royal marine reserve in Whalley range mortar detachment,this ratios were 15 quid ,the biscuits tasted like cardboard ,but after a yomp they became tasty

I’m in the CCF at my school (I’m 15) and we had to have military rations on a field day yesterday, they were awful. Edit: some of the biscuits are laxatives, and some give you constipation (deliberate). If you end up shitting yourself or not being able to shit, this is probably why.
There's a guy on TH-cam that reviews antique mre's, 100 years old etc. You should give that a go. Obviously they've been kept in climate controlled conditions etc

With Australian rations we normally put the meal pouch in water and boil it. That gives you hot water for a brew.
