So many people are saying zero wins. That's ridiculous. If they had a kicker who could kick last year they would have won 6 games at least. Their defense is quite good and they get back Gonzalez and Judon. Keion White is going to explode in my opinion. They need to get the O line squared away, but it can't be any worse than last year. Improved QB play combined with the above and 8 wins is attainable.

I said the same thing they lost a lot of game by close margin and that is by not having any offense at all
No chance they win more than 6 games.
Couple points
1. This defense will be top 10 unit with Gonzo and Judon back. The loss of B Belichick and his son will not affect this. This is a talented experienced group of coaching and players. If anything they will be more aggressive rather then bend don't break philosophy. If Alex Austin can take the CB2 (or sign Gilmore) role and Hawkins can secure the Deep safety role in passing situations this will be a top 5 unit as J Jones can move inside and Dugger can play up to line of scrimmage.
2. This national narrative there is no talent on this roster is ridiculous. Last time I checked 22 starters take the field on offense and defense plus 8-10 rotational players in sub packages on both sides plus special teams. All are average to good NFL starting caliber players. You just took the best QB in the draft IMO which will elevates the entire offense.
3. Drake should play week 5 after 2 tough road games against top 5 defenses. After that it is mostly mediocre defenses. Anything longer is criminal. Only reason to not start him immediately is a new coaching staff installing a new scheme and weekly game process and settling on the best 5 O linemen. That's it. Maye is already better then Brissett by a mile.
4. This team has only 1-2 holes currently and that's at left tackle and a freaking kicker. That's it. Maybe some depth concerns at some spots but not really honestly. Every other position group on both sides is solid to good.
5. Giving up 1st round draft capital and 25mil multi year contract for a supposed "#1" receiver is foolish and also a false narrative. Polk or Baker can produce 95% of that production for a fraction of the price. History bears this out. Many HOF WR don't win shit. Another false narrative.
You are making a lot of assumptions here, and expecting more of players than I think you should.
1 - You assume Gonzalez will be what he was and more, and so will Judon. Judon has fallen off every year towards the end, and is one year older. And Gonzalez is coming off injury. You are also assuming the defensive approach and coaching will get the most out of these players, which is questionable at best.
2 - I don't think people are saying "there is no talent", but there is a talent deficit at certain positions, specifically in the offense.
3 - No one has any Idea what or who Drake will be, so putting a specific time on him starting is foolish at best. Drake may be more talented than Brissett, but you are also getting ahead of yourself. He could be a hall of famer. Or he could be like Mac and be a second string in three years. We don't know. No one does.
4 - 1-2 holes? See above with the talent deficit. Sharp dropoff on offense with mediocre players at best in too many positions. Rhamondre is good, but is he a 1k runner? Hunter Henry I like, but he is the only good TE. Receivers need work, and they either need one to be a complete breakout or they need to sign one in the future. That's just how it is.
5 - Look at the receivers of every team that has won a super bowl in the last 10 years, not including the Patriots. Always talent at receiver. Always. Not always a number one, but like the 2017 eagles they had like three #2 guys practically.
You have to face the facts that this team could go 3-14. Too much is new to guarantee anything but this will be a rebuilding year. I like Maye, I hope he's great, but fans are so predictable in how they think. What were we saying when Mac was drafted? "Great pick", "the most NFL ready of the bunch" and all that nonsense. Let's see where they are in week 8 and then at week 18.

When it comes to Rhamondre just because he's slimmed down doesn't mean he's lost weight. Muscle weighs more than fat and if he replaced fat with muscle he could easily be the same weight or heavier
