Hi Kenny, your vinyl recommendation are always a pleasure für me- a retired woman from Bavaria, Germany. And I am always surprised about your borderless (?) knowledge!!! Thank you for sharing! Greetings!

Had some of those BrianAuger albums since they first came out. Also have 2 with Julie. I’ll have to pull them out a give them a spin. I know the name Jo Stafford, but not her music. I’ll keep an eye out for that Jo + Jazz. Thanks for sharing

I, too, have both records, Stafford is a vastly underrated, and largely forgotten, vocalist. I have not listened to the Auger/Driscoll in decades, must pull it out. Thanks for the vid.

See, now I want to look for that "Jo + Jazz" LP. I've heard of it and seen the cover elsewhere, but hearing you speak about it, I think I want it. I remember Brian Auger & The Trinity from the 60s; good organist, saw him (them) on TV. Thanks, Kenny, for making me want to spend money. 😁

I have a version of the street noise lp, and don't remember any problem with hissing sibilants, using a shure xv15 cart that excels in clarity in the upper frequencies , but perhaps not as much as what the poster is using.
I went to see brain auger and Julie driscolll perform , primarily because of the singer, me being a testosterone addled teen aged boy at the time, and they didn't disappoint. The guy played extremely well, expending tremendous effort because of the speed of some of his long solo statements.
another guy who also made his living behind a B3 keyboard was Steven miller, not that Steven miller , who had a progressive rock jazz fusion band called Lynn county, with their best album featuring a butcher meat gatefold that made the Beatles butcher block album look like they weren't trying. After that band , I saw him a couple of times as a guest artist playing with touring acts around so cal, playing rock blues and singing. As a denizen of Los Angeles county, I appreciate owning a copy of the protest song, " protect and serve", which I used to occasionally drag out after the latest los angles police scandal. Album has uneven song quality, and starts out with a version of James brown's " think" , which I like better than the super strong original.

I just listened to the (Trinity Street Noise) album & it was pretty good. Well I'm going to send you in a similar direction of that type of recommendation. The artist is Junior album name (Solo). I'll spoil it for you, a few songs that might grab your attention on the album will probably be? Songs (Perdoname) (Si No Te Amase) and (Solo) I would recommend the (But if you leave me) album but as far as ordering, it's kind of hard because he was a Phillopino citizen. For people who don't know, Spanish is one of the common languages of that country. Well, anyway, I'm sure the (Solo) album will probably become part of your collection soon? Enjoy👍

Hey Brother! After it was mentioned on another vinyl records channel I got that Julie Driscall Kevin Auger & Trinity album towards the end of last year. I agree that it is a fabulous album. However I didn't notice the sibilance you mentioned. Mind you, I am not a hardcore audiofile so probably I maybe just didn't notice, but I will play it again to see if it is an issue. Btw, I am friends with a relation of Kevin Auger.

That sound issue that I have with the album could be a issue with my particular copy...hopefully that is the problem.

I listened to a few songs from Streetnoise on Spotify, and there is a static like interference in some parts. So I wonder if the audio source has some issues?

Perhaps...I plan to buy the CD at some point and I will see if it has the same issue.
