I am always impressed with your ingenuity. I'm sitting here thinking "how the hell is he gonna turn a flat disc into a spider? You're truly an artist. Well done.
I was expecting him to sink two half-spheres and weld them together. Would’ve avoided the math. :) It’s not something I have the skills to do, but it can be done.
Thank you for knowing how to balance audio, and for actually doing so. So many "industrial" channels don't even out the audio and I end up giving up on watching the videos just so I don't go insane from having to constantly turn the volume up and down.
I was very pleasantly surprised by what I though would be a boring video. Seeing you build an orb out of a rusty old drum lid was amazing, and then you hand-forged the solid metal legs! The unpainted version was a work of art. It was almost a shame to see you paint it. Thanks for sharing this.
Shined up the start of that sphere almost looked like the spheres in the 70's movie Phantasm!! the ones with the drills and spikes. Excellent build good Sir.
That is just awesome spider!!!! For presentation, decoration or show what you are able to produce by own hand... I could see perfection at many ways by anything what you have made. 👍
Metal work/blacksmithing is in my genes...But,i have to say Torbjorn you have a good eye, some awesome talent and your a pleasure to watch on TH-cam...Thanks for sharing your craft...
Awesome build aside, even just making the dish for dishing the sheet metal was a cool build in and of itself. Wish I could click the thumbs up more than once when there's more than one reason for liking a video!
That is a very clever shears holder you made there. Normally they take up too much space. And the wooden sinking stake... wow! Gotta get me a wood lathe. Very nice work!
So much fun in 19 minutes (our time) and years of fun thinking about it and using it. Amazing build and design of a big'O scary spider. Nice one Torbjorn! Thanks for sharing your fun!
We have spiders like that in Western Australia. They have a red stripe, and the common name is *_Redback Spider._* When I was a kid, and outside toilets were a regular feature in the 1950's, we always had to check under the _dunny seat_ so we wouldn't die a horrible death . . .
+@@blargkliggle1121: Although the three subspecies of mouse spiders are widely distributed across Australia, I haven't been much concerned about them because they are more _"popular"_ in Northern Territory and the Eastern States. Thus I couldn't answer your question, but a quick look at the Medical Journal of Australia reveals that of the 40 bites definitely diagnosed as from that type of spider up to about 2004, only one bite of a young child required anti-venom treatment, and observed for 4 hours to ensure recovery. None mentioned any case of traumatic (physical) injury such as you described. No nightmares necessary 😨 after all, the children can go to sleep (fairly) safely.

Awesome Torbjorn!
There's something wonderful about such a skilled blacksmith taking his time to make a spooky holiday decoration that is very pleasing.

I just love the little bit of humor you put in your videos every once in awhile.
I am a simple man, I see a good youtuber that at least seems to genuinely like doing youtube vids, I subscribe
:) Thanks!
That math is scary enough! I'll take my chances with the spider!!!
Floyd Underhill LOL
Ha ha!
jason s; I am fairly sure that triangles have straight sides... stating sarcastically.
Make ten of those and just randomly hide them in the forest
Det här är en så fin film! Tack!
Make 10 of and randomly leave them in town.
Should've added a red thick line on its back to make it look like a giant Redback Spider. Great work man.
BRAVISSIMOOO!!!!!!! tecnica legata all'arte. Complimenti da un Italiano.
First class workmanship, brilliant!
Looks awesome, consider painting a red hourglass on the back like a black widow spider.
Amazing problemsolving on the ”ball” part! You’re a straight up genius!
For anyone who is new to blacksmithing, this guy is someone to pay attention to. Great video!

Veramente bello, realizzato in maniera fantastica. Bravissimo..... come sempre.
Your video's are amazing ,I could watch them all day 👍
not gonna lie, it was pretty awesome seeing the legs move as the welds cooled down. you dont always get to see the metal moving like that.
Next you need a huge web in a corner for it. That was an awesome project man. Really enjoyed it.
Huge thumbs up, I'm really impressed at the consistency of your legs. It's hard to do multiple copies and have them look great!
That is just awesome spider!!!! For presentation, decoration or show what you are able to produce by own hand... I could see perfection at many ways by anything what you have made. 👍
Thank you Miro!

What do I love more? Spiders or these cool videos? That is a tough one!!
Awesome build aside, even just making the dish for dishing the sheet metal was a cool build in and of itself.

So much fun in 19 minutes (our time) and years of fun thinking about it and using it. Amazing build and design of a big'O scary spider. Nice one Torbjorn! Thanks for sharing your fun!

That is the same kind that the mayor in "Nightmare before Christmas" uses as a bolo tie. :-) Wouldn't fancy meeting one IRL...
Ha ha ha, yes that would have been a horrible death...
Don't you guys also have one that can bite through a toenail? I think it's called a mouse spider.

they're related to the black widow, except full of steroids and hate
Now that's creative , Dark and Twisted , yup my kinda thing !
