I think I'm right in saying the great Dorset steam fair is then largest gathering of steam vehicles anywhere in the world. You can't see it all in a weekend.
You must have sat around the playpen for the day to film this. Thank you for your dedication and for putting it up for people to see. We were exhibiting in the model tent.
believe so, think it was more of a price issue that caused them to flop, similar to the Massey Harris GP tractor, several other early model articulated tractors flopped for similar reasons as well.....
First I believe that Americans develop combustion engines faster. and someone like Henry Ford entered Automotive Industry with combustion engines while anyone else before him (White included) kicked off with steam and switched to combustion abit late.
So, judging by what I'm seeing in the nighttime footage, they probably didn't use these machines for haying much! Cool to see 100 plus year old equipment still chugging along! I'd like to see some POS car of today in 100 years, it will be a pile of dust.
Those trucks (and buses too) are the coolest things ever!
Organised chaos - wonderful - even some drive-by tooting!
Once upon a time, this is how work was done. Amazing.
What a wonder time that must have been...
Overwhelming, I have to attend next year!
Pure bueauty of steam engineering.Love.
Excellent film, subscribed straight away
This is got to be the best video I've seen in a while..this is way too cool.
Last there in 94. Still miss it.
Such magnificent beasts. It's so great to see the fire in their bellies as it got dark!
Wonderful stuff... loved the night-time finale. Many thanks for sharing. Bob K.

Excellent video and great camera work.
Pure Madness
An impressive effort to capture so many engines. Good fireworks!
excellent, love these steam fair videos very interesting to watch
Some fantastic spark throwing performances as night draws on there!
AndreiTupolev it was very enjoyable, seeing drivers have a play.
At 2:26 is that a traction engine towing a lorry towing a steam engine?
Correct, you have won a cookie...
Avro Bomber Gaming
But was the lorry also towing? Two engine power for extra wide/extra heavy loads, that sort of thing?
MegaBytes no the lorry can tow the train on its own it’s just showing the strength of a traction engine
Absolutely superb thank you for that it’s always no.1 on my bucket list probably won’t make it but you never know 🕺👏👍
2:45 shows that somebody took the term "road locomotive" a bit more literally.
Man i would love to fly to Britain to see this stuff! You don't have many steam fairs like this in the US
I think I'm right in saying the great Dorset steam fair is then largest gathering of steam vehicles anywhere in the world. You can't see it all in a weekend.
This could only happen in England!
This is the greatest!!
I can't believe there are so many working steam engines, wow!!!!
Wonderful ! Thanks for sharing 😊

Really Cool !
14:29 Wow,steam roller!
Briliant videos got some information I neededthank you LEN
Am I the only one who loves the ‘tuck tuck tuck’ noise?
No, I do too
Was the tractor pulling the semi with the train engine under its own steam by itself, or was the truck pulling too? Two engine power?
Pretty sure the truck was pulling too. Traction engines aren't as strong as a normal steam engine
Interesting enough. Americans do have a good deal of Steam tractor and some early steam powered citycars, but Steamtrucks are British - only thing.
Ehh, we had a few, but they were a bit of a flop from what I can tell
So 'Steam trucks' did exists in America as well? (or had been made there before?)

Fantastic peaces of Machinery, love to own one
reinds me of a "burning man for machines ." ohm myyyyy.:)
Great machine ❤❤❤❤❤
This is funny... It's like watching the pandemonium on a LA freeway only slower and with steam.
TOYS FOR THE REAL, BIG BOYS. !!
Super cool
13:32 What's that sound? Sounds like a motorcycle or prop-driven airplane?
Anyway, really enjoyed the video. I love steam tractors.
I think that's the Scammell truck that went past just a moment before
John73 John the noise was from the green Scammel Explorer.
Ah, okay. Thanks.
