The time blindness/self-regulation thing is REAL. As someone with ADHD, I really struggle with "feeling" the passage of time. It's very difficult for me to tell whether it's been five minutes or an hour of doing something; it's also hard for me to judge how long something will take to complete. Timers and alarms are my best friends, it's nice to see something novel and kid-friendly like this! Especially for use in classrooms!
Hi! I’m Valeria! 4th grade teacher and I teach ESL I came across your channel and love it! I’m always on the hunt for good timers and these look pretty awesome!!
Thank you!!! If there are any topics or other things of interest that might help you as a homeschooling mom, please let me know. I would love ideas for more content.
I just stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for sharing your positivity and great ideas for uses with assistive tech! I work with assistive tech and I'm always looking for new ideas to share with others. I love that you keep saying that the students need to be as independent as possible and set their own timers - it really is key for being as independent as possible! I cannot express that enough in the education setting to educators and family members. Again, thank you!
I like the idea of using both timers together to give students a buffer and let them know their time is winding down. Don’t you just love when you find great things that you weren’t even looking for!?
Me to!! Thanks for stopping in. I just checked out your channel. I am so wanting to connect with other educators who are on TH-cam. Less stay connected (I clicked the bell).
Hi, Cindy- I will be presenting at a conference on free/low cost professional development opportunities, focusing on AT. I will love to share your video. It is so practical! Thanks for doing this.
When you were talking about a kid twiddling his thumbs and saying I need more time you were describing my son right there. You Didn’t say how much you bought it for just mentioned that you got it on sale for 50% off and how much you seen another one online
Hi!! I am sorry about that. I actually purchased at Target for 50%; I paid $6.48. I saw it on Amazon I think for about $10/$12. There is another timer that I like called the Time Timer. I will do a video soon on it.
What type of issues are you having? So many things are standard now in technology. I believe both Google docs and Word has a speech to text. I am sure Google docs can also be used as text to speech. They have really good spell and grammar checkers. Their are some extensions like Grammarly that I love to use. Give me a little specifics and I’ll try to give you some examples of thing you can use.

These timer cubes are very novel. We enjoy using them.
