I always drop chain lightning from my rotation. My guild doesn't kill fast and I sometimes throw out chain heals depending on the situation which chews through my mana.
The loss of the 4 piece for t6 and the stats will actually counteract the benefit your party gets from 20 spell power each. I'll try to explain in numbers briefly for you. You gain approximately 145 spell power from the set and 2 piece bonus together. PLUS quite a bit of crit. PLUS the 5% increase damage to lightning bolt. Which if you think about it is approximately 120 spellpower worth of increase at this point. SO all that maths out to a 265 spellpower increase for you or a 100 total spell power increase for your party. This is simple math so not perfect, but hopefully it puts it into perspective so you can see that t4 2piece isnt as valuable as t6 4 piece.
Really helpful, didn’t really know haste was hindering my DPS. I use 3LB/CL as my standard rotation, but noticed Im waiting half a second for CL to come back up. Should I switch to less haste more crit gear? Also never thought to drop Lightning capacitor. I have TLC, Icon, Smoking Pipe, Sextant, and going for Hex Shrunken Head. Should I generally use double on-use for fights longer than 2 min?
So I'd be inclined to ask what your haste, spell power, and crit are before advising you to swap your haste around. But gernally yes, outside of the major breakpoints we get almost no benefit from haste if it sacrifices our other stats (sp and crit).
For anything cleave I was 99 parsing with sextant on use last phase. And those fights I didn't 99 parse with that combo I was steady pushing 95 parses in a guild with slightly slower than the faster kill times. Double on use or on use sextant is the way for longer term fights with LC bring stronger within the 2 minute window.
The guild needed a second enhance and I was the best person for the job. I love all that is shaman dps so I put in the work and made the swap for the team. Thankfully we had an ele to take my position so overall it went smoothly. I miss ele, but I still do all the studying and prep for it and try to keep my gear relevant with what I can.
Well it depends on a lot of things. But I would say whichever one appeals the most to you. I would say elemental is the easiest one to pick up and be the strongest right away. Plus it makes you more versatile to help heal if needed. Both specs are very fun. Enhancement is the more difficult spec to master with twisting totems and dealing melee stress but is also extremely rewarding when played right.

That sounds like a nightmare 😆.
What's your thoughts on the t4 2 set bonus at this point? 20 extra SP for your whole party seems like a huge increase to me.

@@Darkest_TV what are the haste break points? I know it’s dependent on SP as well, so say for 1100 nature damage and 22% crit?
So what made you switch to enhancement btw?

You made it! lol
I sure did 😆
I'm going to start playing tbc with some friends and I can't decide which shaman to go to? what do you recommend elementary or ench?
