Wow, the good old days of logically analysing and debugging our code on piece of paper.
This video brought so many nostalgic moments of 11th class when I used to do the same.
Languages come and go but c++ is here to stay forever.
Right now people are going but shit crazy over python but nothing beats c++ in terms of execution speed.
And yes, without a doubt it has a big learning curve but that's what makes it so exciting.

You could also try this to Find length of array
int length=sizeof(num)/sizeof(num[0]);
