Thank you as always. For an old geezer, I would have liked to see a basic graphics card setup, and MSFS internal graphics settings, which works without having to edit files (not a 200% computer nerd) 😂 Following your previous setups gave me something, but then age kicked in. Take care, continue your excellent work for the community.
Great video. With this being the final update for MSFS2020 any thoughts about doing a final set up and configuration guide for it before 2024’s release?
Do you use any addon-scenery? - In my case (RTX4090, ususally around 60FPS all sliders up), I get 50 FPS in EDDK with a PMDG 737 taking off and flying north and around 10 min in flight the frames drop down 7 FPS…. I also use REX accuseason which I think might play a role, as the the ground does no longer look homogenous, but divided in brownish and greener squares
I don't call that a particularly heavy stress test, try using Airshow assistant and with three other aircraft of your choice preferably light aircraft, make a low pass over a major airport such as heathrow. If there is going to be stutters, that's where you'll find them. Not cruising up above cloud cover where demand on the graphics card is low........................................................
Hello sir, can you confirm if the issue with the texture LOD has been resolved in this update? It appears that certain areas of Miami are still experiencing this issue.
Thanks for this, some feedback though - REX weather will likely have a lesser performance hit than Live Weather. It really would be nice to see an FPS counter on these or even better RTSS. That's kind of standard practice for an accurate performance testing demonstration. It's a cool video and fun to watch, but it only has entertainment value, as any stream that is not titled "performance testing" would have.
I get what you’re saying, I just care way more about smoothness and stutter-free than framerates. I may do another one tomorrow with framerates for those who want to see it. I appreciate the feedback!
I agree with the reaction of @holobolo. I mean, it looks stunning and as buttery as hell. But for the purpose of testing, I would love to see the specs of your system, which sim settings you’re using, and to have every counter on screen. In this case, it’s not about what you prefer showing on screen but what the viewer wants to see. Maybe try NYC or LHR and push the system to its limits. Despite that, I am very impressed with your videos. I have learned a lot from them.
@@IslandSimPilot Yeah totally get that and yeah it does look smooth as. I am finding similar results with the beta. Thanks again for doing these vids, you've done great work.
Honestly I don’t even notice it. And normally everything g drives me nuts. As my wife says, driving me crazy isn’t a very long trip. 😂 But this doesn’t bother me at all, never has.
1:42 wait are you supposed to do Left ignition and then engine 2 to ground, i thought you needed to put ignition to the side you wanted to start up or keep it on both
A330 driver channel (formally 737NG driver) was a 737 pilot (Ryanair) and I’m sure he said that if they were at an airport which was a home base for that airline they would use RIGHT ignition, non home base use LEFT. Some airlines simply alternate left and right each leg. No idea why this would be but either left or right can be used to start both engines.
Yeah, I don't believe it was that, I am pretty sure I did the way I always have, although I freely admit to being a bit rusty in that plane. I will try it again tomorrow and see.
Thoughts about DX12? I had watched several of your videos and I know you use 12. I have a 4090 TUF pushing three monitors and if I switch to DX12 from 11 it often crashes. Running all of the other settings you have posted. Any additional perspective or advice would be welcomed! Thank you!
Hey buddy! Multi-monitor is tricky, what resolution? But with a 4090 I would expect it to be more than capable. You can definitely try this app, it may very well solve it for you, depending on the scenario. I would use this and just use the stock Auto FPS and IFR mode and see what happens. Let me know!
@@IslandSimPilot Right now, I am running a 55 inch at 2K a 40 inch at 2K and then a small 10.5 at 1080p. I have good and bad luck with AutoFPS. It is like my computer almost "overheats" or something. Some times the sim crashes and sometimes my entire computer will either freeze or restart. You mentioned an app, which app are you referring to? Thank you again! Cheers!
So disappointing, I have a 3090 paired with a 5800x3D and have stable 60 fps, but when I look around I have screen tearing. Tried everything but it doesn't go away ...
Yeah, can't believe that hasn't been solved by now. Tearing all the way with freesync on, and IN freesync fps-range. Only thing that solves it for me is V-sync(100% monitor refresh), which does not work as advertised luckily, but gets rid of the tearing for me. Fps is apparantly just allowed to fluctuate between 50 and 75 fps now, with the AutoFPS app balancing things out.

Nice video, Thanks.
10:04 That transition to the outside view made me jump.🤣
Yeah, sorry about that! Those engines have some pop!
I have a strong feeling this will work very well with steady 40+fps for the steam deck as well on medium settings, very exited
