Tim (or maybe Ronnie Spann aka *@bbstenor419* [the only singer I know of to hold a note longer than Tim’s longest]) should offer to do an anti-smoking/vaping PSA for the *American Lung Association.* You know how in the past they’d have spokespersons who had throat cancer or something from smoking to tell young people not to smoke? How about showing the other side of that coin (assuming that Tim doesn’t smoke, and I assume he doesn’t)?
Tim, it is entirely too much fun watching all of your faces for each part on this one! Not only are you a musical genius, your showmanship is first rate. And the post... you're incredible! 😊❤😊
Another ridiculous post. And that overtone at the end shows how consistent you are on the post, entirely unwavering and resonant. Unbelievable as always, thanks for brightening up my day!
I remember the first time I heard this on the VS album. And again the first time I saw a video, and again the first time I saw it live. Amazing arrangement and great singing.
My man can you make a video on air support and how you get so much mileage with those long notes?? the efficiency, tone, pitch... so clean. Give me your secrets!
Tim, you had entirely too much fun with this one!😂. Besides the always amazing post, it’s so impressive- even singing each part “along with yourself”- that you could get such perfect precision AND magnificent harmony! 👍🏼BRAVO!!!
MY GAWD, MAN! NO wavering in pitch...steady strong volume...pire clean note and then your amazing vibrato coming in at the very end?! Such control! Simply STUPENDOUS! WOW!
First the puppies, and now Tim’s equipment? Will this evil lady stop at nothing? Always tricky the vocal acrobatics in this kind of tag and you NAILED it Tim. Awesome job! Bravo 🌹 🌹
I'm convinced you've found a way to circular breathe for vocals. 38 seconds or so on the final note? No, I'm calling area 51 or something, this isn't human.
I remember being a young kid watching a Ray William Johnson video featuring a clip of Vocal Spectrum, titled "This guy can really sing a note". It had gone viral for its time, a few thousand views in a couple days. It was this exact snippet of the tune. Years later, I find your channel and listen to it as much as I can, and discovering you were that particular singer from the video. Of course, I'm listening to everything I have time for and I'm loving it. And finally this video drops! It's really nice to see things come round full circle. Thank you for making the videos you do!
This is one of the first songs I had to learn switching to baritone, using your tracks of course! I played it in sync with this video and you've added an extra second to this already crazy long post!
Tim, thanks so much for posting this classic Vocal Spectrum tag! What a great treat to see you and share a class together at HU! Seeing how you put your tags together (the nuts and bolts of it all) was eye-opening! Knowing more about this process makes me appreciate your constantly improving skill set, phenomenal musicianship, and your heart for others on display for the world to see! Keep impacting lives, brother! I hope Cruella returns your audio software soon! 😀
10 or so years ago, this was the tag that got me hooked on barbershop music from one Ray William Johnson video! Been obsessed ever since. Thank you for being the foundation upon which I’m sure a lot of young musicians stand!
Your singing has always been extraordinary and it seems like you're pushing your voice even further than before with recent tags. The post on this and high note in your most recent tag, amazing stuff Tim!
Awesome video Tim! I’ve got a whole 28hr barbershop playlist on Spotify that I listen to, but my favorite is still going to be the smaller one in my library with all 5 VS albums on it 😂 It’d be neat to see you do Roll Jordan, Roll (I’m not sure if that’s crossroads’s original or not, and I know you probably take more suggestions on Patreon, but just a thought🤷🏼♂️)
@@slightly_smaller1061 not actually mine, but it’s “Barbershop Quartets and Such” by Zane Courtney. Cover albums are Acoustix, Ringmasters, and MC6 A Capella. Really solid playlist, and I just stumbled onto it. Also, didn’t mean to claim the playlist as my own, I’ve got one with all kinds of music that’s like 45 hrs but I’ve been making it for like 3 years now and it’s been every song I’ve liked that goes into it. But I haven’t been into barbershop that long.
Some months before he quit and ended his show, *James Corden* once challenged a guy on _The Late, Late Show with James Corden_ to hold a note for _20_ seconds. James said that as if he thought it to be some incredible challenge. The guy failed, by the way. Too bad they never had you on the show. Or even the *Linc-182* quartet where, in their “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” their Lead Lincoln held that final tag note for 20 seconds-and at the time he was _8 years old!_ With lungs maybe ¼ the volume of a typical adult man’s! (This was during the pandemic and the video was done as a 4-person multitrack #BarbershopQuarantet. I used to use his tag to time my hand-washing.)
I really love this arrangemente and how you perform it 🙂did you include an imperceptible error in the sheet for some crazy picker like me to notice on bar 70 to 71?
I know the usual pace this song is performed in by Vocal Spectrum and I know that the post is 30 seconds, so I noticed that this tag is going slower and I was like "this (ofc) is going to be 40 seconds post" and then I counted it and I was right, 40 seconds, haha
I love this cover of your groups wonderful tag!, even if I saw it several days early thanks to George Collier lol. Question though, did you forget to add reverb to this version? I checked, and the George Collier version has reverb while this one doesn't lol
Such a great tag! I'm loving having the sheet music below the parts, but can I make a request? Can the "page" of the sheet music advance sooner? When I'm reading and trying to (badly!) sing along, I'm reading ahead by a beat or two, but when the page turns as it were, I'm finding it does so too late for me to be able to read ahead and anticipate what's coming. Moving to the next system a beat or two earlier than we actually hear it would make it so much easier to read along.
What!? She stole my audio software? The Audacity... The live version of this supposedly has a 50+ second post, seriously most of Tim's feats are almost myths at this point, unreal.
Tim, my man. If your face starts feeling a little hot like I'm sure it does after the 30-second mark (you look a little deoxygenated at 1:10), I'm willing to bet that you should probably take a breath. Or, you can continue to simply defy all of the laws of human nature.

What a voice range, and holding that one note, wow, love the vid!!
101 Dalmatians, 101 perfect chords… that, and holding a note for 101 years. Tim = 🐐
GOAT comment! haha...Thank you, Niko!!
It is said that Tims goal is to increase his lifespan by at least 101 years just so he can accomplish such a feat as holding a note that long…

40 SECONDS with one note

You're divine
Excellent work ! As usual!
Thank you so much, Hugo!!
he may have some oxygen tank inside his lungs

And the post... you're incredible! 😊❤😊
Thank you so much, Lynn!! 😃
Hahah I lol’d at the end since It’s so ingrained to expect a huge reverb on the last chord and then it was just drier than Sahara❤
hahahaha...don't worry, it's jarring to me too.🤣
Another ridiculous post. And that overtone at the end shows how consistent you are on the post, entirely unwavering and resonant. Unbelievable as always, thanks for brightening up my day!
Thank you!! I really appreciate the kind words!

Finally a post so long that Tim’s face on lead is noticeably redder version of the other Tims. I almost passed out for you. Lol. Amazing as always.

This is a bonkers arrangement with a 38 second post to boot!

The tag that made Tim a legend!
That last harmony, holy crap... Like a train whistle man, absolutely perfect.
And again, excellent. I really liked this when VS performed it, nice to hear your interpretation. PS Congrats on the HoF! You guys earned it!
Thank you, Tim! I appreciate that! 😃

Wow!!!! This is the absolute best singing I've heard, I want to hear more!!!

So good, Tim.
Thank you!!
for anyone wondering, he held that note for exactly 39 seconds
This, along with VS's version, is my favorite Tim Tag! Thank you!!!
Absurd, literally absurd. Also, really like the emotion in your delivery and expression!
I’m pretty sure that this guy has 2 oxygen tanks each in his lungs. Amazing as always!
i remember hearing this song by your quartet on =3 a really long time ago, and still, this guy can really sing a note
You know it's a good day when there's a new Timtag. Fantastic as always!
Gosh... Thank you, again!
Awesome! Great to see you and meet you, and then see your awesome quartets you got to make awesome! 😊
Love this song by VS! Defiantly one of your best songs! Not baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad, if you know what I mean!
hahaha...I see what you did there. Thank you, Trenton!!
Good Heavens. The bar keeps getting higher and higher dude. So great!!
Bravo Tim :)
Thank you!!
Great job Tim! That Post = $$$!
Lol!!! Bad--but not breathtakingly bad! What a fun tag, thanks a million.

This is one of my absolute favorite basslines to sing. It's so wild and such a blast to nail the tuning~
I love this song~
WOW!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
Was George Collier's video last week a promotion of your channel? I wouldn't mind if it was, you totally deserve it!
Yes it was! Obviously, he wanted to use it for his channel, but he also promoted my channel.
Correct me if im wrong, but i think cruella is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad ❤
As a horn player, I need to know how you're able to sustain for so long without any backpressure provided by a mouthpiece or reed.
Is a 40 second high G hanger all you got?! LoL 🤣😆 I mean damn...
So why am *I* the one who needs to take a deep breath????? lol
0:56 is what we live for
I'd have to say that's pretty baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadass!!
Hey wait a minute, this looks familiar... 🤨
All jokes aside, amazing job as always

Thanks, my friend!
How long homage you worked to be able to hold a note for that long?
Saw this on George Collier's channel
Yup! Almost the same video...
Hey wait a second, I've already seen this video lol. Did you have to re-upload?
George Collier put it on his channel last week. I decided to release a different version with no effects today!

what software did she steal from you ???? (genuinely curious)
Do Disney villains regular hijack your audio software?
yes
She’s bad, but bad enough where they had to make a great tag about her
Who needs reverb packages anyways
Can we sue him for stealing ALL the air?
40 seconds?!?
