- In this week’s episode of Open Gym, as the NBA trade deadline looms, the Toronto Raptors bring back Jakob Poeltl in a deal with the San Antonio Spurs. Poeltl re-unites with the franchise that drafted him and has a massive game before the All-Star break. Super sophomore Scottie Barnes is selected to the Jordan Rising Stars in Salt Lake City Utah for the second year in a row. And Pascal Siakam is deservedly named to the East reserve team, becoming an All-Star for the second time in his career. Siakam reminisces with DeMar DeRozan as they chat about the “Bench Mob” and offer Open Gym edit tips for this week’s show.

Love hearing DeMar saying he still watches Open Gym. 🥰

Loved seeing DeMar give so much love to Pascal, and to Open Gym. He "challenged" y'all to put some vintage Deebo and Spicy P clips together with a time crunch, and you guys were like "bet". Amazing episode.

What a blast that was! Seeing Demar reminisce about the bench mob intersperse - his idea 😅- with flashbacks was fire. I miss that man…such a great dude and still repping TO and staying to his former teammates. He and Lowry had the best NBA bromance…good times. Well produced episode with lots of good vibes…good job Open Gym!
Man talk about the all star cast this episode. We got segments with Yak, Scottie, Demar, Pascal, Masai. Was hoping we’d get a SGA cameo at the allstar game😢 oh well.

Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes are so inspirational
Real fans of the game know, that bringing back Jacob Poeltl in the raptors system will be a huge asset late in the stretch this season and preparing for next years run at it. Pskillz is an all star. He got better in the off season the past 3 years working and getting reps in at rico hines runs in ucla. The hardest worker during those runs, and now you can see its been paying off . Yak and Pskillz back together is fire

I'm glad to see Scottie is "meh" about the rising stars game, and is determined to be in the all-star game. It will be hard since he's playing with a pretty talented team, and now Jak comes in to rack up 20 or 30 points a game.. Scottie just has to learn to shoot with efficiency and improve his handles. Kawhi (who the rising stars announcer kept comparing Scottie to) took his big leap in his third season, so we'll see.
