Can you give me a time where he mentioned Linux and Linode related stuff that is web related. Linode gives web related services like Ubuntu. I am interested in web related stuff but the video is too long to find that out. If you remember the time interval or something and if you share the time, that would be helpful.

Just finished chapter 11 and I must say, I feel great! Always felt a bit left out of the loop every time a friend or two started discussing Linux or related topics and have wanted to expand my knowledge on the subject. Currently pursuing a bachelors in Computer Science and Windows is all that I knew before college. Now I feel more confident as this course has helped me clear all basic concepts, not just about Linux distros, but how the OS and File System works! Plus I feel way more comfortable working on the Command-Line than I did before! I used WSL 2 with Ubuntu to do this course and there is not much difference in the way things work. _I referred to StackOverflow and other online resources when they did._ Will carry on and finish what I have started. Thanks again!
here is the crazy part, he is better than my college professor at explaining Linux.... my professor is to busy complaining hearing himself talk about the IT jobs he has not gotten..... Keep up the fight, love this course will replay multiple times.

The animations and imagery did it for me. I’ve been struggling hard with the rebase paradigm. You cleared up so much gray area in my head. I finally get it.
I enjoyed listening to this on 0.5x speed for a few hours on loop while also listening to other long lectures at the same speed on various devices placed throughout my office.
If you guys remove the brackets around the timestamps and add one for 0:00:00, then TH-cam should detect them as video sections and let people navigate through using the interface. If not, you may also need to remove the milliseconds from them.
I’m going to be taking a Linux class in the spring and I’ve never used it in my life. I’m glad I found this. I think I’ll just watch it for my enjoyment, and see where things go. It will certainly help in my Test Out course for my Network+ class where every once in a while, a video and a practice quiz question will relate to Linux on some topic.

Linux is just so awesome compared to windows. First of all Linux Ubuntu is really lightweight does not have all kinds of bloatware or task running in the background so your pc will run much faster. No need for anti-virus as we'll. Linux really helps you out a lot in many careers from IT cybersecurity software engineer devops etc.

I'd be really curious how it will run when I can get a Linux distribution on a newer and more capable computer. It's kind of like a new girlfriend, can't stop thinking about it and I can deal with the little frustrations and annoying things because I like it so much
@@username8644 I just got a cheap laptop on Facebook because I was learning python2 from this instructor I really enjoy (Charles severance python for informatics course) and needed something to practice the book material when I wasn't at home. I recently pulled out an old XP computer that was in the closet and got it running again so that inspired me to go down to old windows versions rabbit hole. What blows my mind is that I've run disc cleanup countless times on XP and windows 10 in the past but when I did it on on 7 something happened and it pretty much "broke it". I tried to fix it all the ways TH-cam suggested but in the end switching to Linux ended up being faster and easier. Now if I want to continue the windows rabbit hole thing I can with virtual machines but I have so much to learn I will put that off for now.

Although it may be beneficial to many people and understandable to them as i can read in the comments but for me a person sitting live in front of the computer with keyboard can helps make technical stuff understand more better than that of a person who is just speaking on some slide shows and pre-short-recorded videos.

I saw a VERY bright green meteor in 1999. As for colors, Li = red, Na = yellow, K = violet, Rb = red, Ca = yellow, Sr = red, Ba = green. Those are the colors emitted by the ions at high temperature. There are others, but these are the ones of most interest to chemists.
Great course! It really feels targeted at sysadmins though, it gets way further into the weeds than the average user. Would love to see like a two hour version that teaches the average user how to get started in Linux! Same content, but leaving out the programmer/sysadmin material like vi, networking, specific dirs, etc.
I absolutely hate when people put the $ in front of the command. It makes it a pain to copy because you have to manually select the text and also WE ALREADY KNOW ITS A COMMAND there is absolutely no reason the the $ to be in the command unless it’s in the command itself.
Can you (or anyone) please create a playlist for beginners who are completely new to computers that would serve as a good primer to help better understand this course. Much appreciated.
lol i installed pop os and then came to watch this video. first find a video that lets us dualboot or windows pc. then come to learn about linux in a linux os. that should be fun. huuuge tutorials are a waste if we dont pause often to practice what we see. good luck to you and me.
Which desktop environment (xfce, Mate, Cinnamon)? I use Mate, but may switch to Cinnamon. I also manually set up the partitions and file systems on my drives.
