I love the amethyst, but simply don't care for diamonds or clear crystals. Love the cut and style you've created! I'll just have to try imagining it with purple stones in place of the diamonds.

Seriously, previous pieces were flat surfaces with stone setting.
This one required another level of planning, depth measurement, preassembly etc... that U shape for stone lugs is a really smart way to deal with heat dissipation

It has to be some kind of a macro lens that allows them to get very keep the size of the materials exact. A 100mm macro prime could possibly do it. I personally shoot a lot of macro photography. I hope this ballpark answer helps, since noone else answered you.
