Yes, we military families really do notice his lousy salute, posture, hair, and uniform. It's a little offensive, actually. Why bother portraying a soldier in a lousy way?
And yes, we and our children have had no extended family due to where we've been stationed. Glad you tried to capture that. Our wedding, 'honeymoon' (pulling a trailer across the country in a race back to his duty station), missing our first several months and Valentines Day as a married couple, missing birthdays and births..
They’re not supposed to portray them accurately! Also he said his military consultant (!) helped him represent. As an Army wife myself, I find nothing offensive in this movie!!!
