  • Make a dragonfly for your garden area using recycled ceiling fan blades and a wooden spindle for under $10! So cool hanging on a wall or a fence. Great project for kids to help create.

Maybe you could help me figure out how to display them in a flower garden and how to display them on a fence. I need to know what to buy so they can display nice.

Such a brilliant way to decorate fan blades - love it - but as a dragonfly lover - they do not have antennae like butterflies do. :O)

WD40 will take that paint right off. Just spray your hand or fingers. Just motion like you're washing your hands. You can spray right under your nails and use your other nail you clean it out. Then wash your hands a couple of times. I hope this helps.

Is there a way to protect the paint if the dragonfly will be hanging outside?

I like these, but if you look at real dragonflies, and think of where you attached the fan blades, you attached them to the dragonfly's head. I think the wings should be screwed on lower. Also, dragonflies don't typically have long antenna, instead we see their front set of legs and shorter antenna.

She attached them in the correct place. Could get a round wooden ball for head to add on top.
