I'm really glad Iluna exists, the wave feels like a love letter and celebration for female and male VTubers alike and it embodies one of the reasons why Niji EN is my go-to for livestreams. Hope the next wave, which I'm guessing will be called "Isol", will leave a mark just as big.

I am also wishing to have a sun-themed wave coming next. I don't know whether it'll happen or not, but I'm still super excited about this thought and very looking forward to it.🥺
Heres the question though. Why is male and female co-existing together is more accepted here than in HoloEN? Its because Niji from the start do not post their talents as idols; they are just normal streamers who live a social life. This should have been the norm.

I think this is a complicated question, but the "idol" issue might not be a big factor since there are also many Niji members have the potential to be idols (especially EN) and idol culture in Niji community as well. The thing is, gender in Niji seems to be not very important. Some examples would be they mix genders since the very first two gens and continue to do it until now, every member can collab and interact with whoever he/she/it(?) wants to, some members in Niji are even non-binary (ie. genderless, bi-gender), etc. I am not very familiar with hololive, but it is obvious that they separate girls and boys into different branches. Unlike Nijisanji, hololive didn't set up an environment of boys and girls can be friends even if they are idols. So I guess hololive fans are already used to the fact of there are only "girl idols" in hololive and they made a different branch for the boys are some reasons why mix gender is less acceptable in hololive community.

Maria: Adorable, but when push comes to shove, her leadership mode really kicks in. Shades of a chaos being scratching her way out.
Kyo: Fits in like a glove. He is beautifully toxic, like the majestic monarch butterfly
Aia: Pretty similar. Turns out she did debut with a stabbed tongue the entire time, so she's even tougher than described. Not easily bullied, but an opportunity presents itself, the results are amazing.
Aster: Kyute! Has great little brother energy. The subject of a lot of teasing, but takes it like a champ. Even manages to Uno Reverse Card it.
Scarle: Everyone sees a mommy, but it;s more like she fluctuates between onee-san and imouto-san everyone looks out for.
Ren: The embodiment of "Teehee pero". His trolling abilities are immaculate
ILUNA is pretty stacked. Great talents all around.

I love this gen. They radiate this friendly vibes that is very endearing then to watch. So far, I am really loving their streams already especially their chaotic pico park collab.
