      @@MasterYourGlass Id love to see an episode of reviewing different citrus liquour's, for example Cointreau, Mandarine Napoleon, Grand Marnier and some others you might prefer, mixing some refreshing citrus drinks with those liquours would be awesome too. Love your channel, I'm stunned its not more popular. Your reactions are gold :)

      @@torttukasa1566 Cointreau is more orange flavor, Mandarine is more tangerine tasting and the Grand Marnier is blended with Cognac...i have drank all 3, the Mandarine Napoleon disappeared from Ontario LCBO years ago so its been a long time since i've had it. Cointreau is the only one i use in mixed drinks or on ice.

      @@janetbanks6677 Mandarine Napoleon has become hard to find these days and its a shame, cos its very fine liqueur in my opinion. I dont particularly like to drink liqueurs straight, but they go very well with coctails.

    What a fabulous review of all of these great cognacs. I just discovered this video and appreciate the camera angles, description and time spent on each, and the simple logical lineup of each along the counter. Superb review. I have all of these and have to say the 1880 is my favorite followed by the 100yr.

    Drooling at the color & viscosity of these liquors. Absolutely love Grand Marnier but living in a third-world remote mountain pueblo can be challenging. I decided to make my own, haha I'm sure there is no comparison but at least it makes my coffee taste much better. Love your taste descriptions, lost me with the hints of your favorite the one before 1800 with tones of pipe tobacco.

    I've had three drinks in my life that were experiences like nothing else on earth.
    One was a vodka Collins one hot autumn day in San Francisco . . .oh my.
    Two was a bottle of sherry from Spain given to me as a gift in a decanter, so I don't know the name . . . if you could distill the most beautiful sunset, this is what it would taste like.
    And three is humble GM red label . . . impossible to describe, but you come close.

    Great video. I’ve tried the first three bottles that you have shown here and my favourite so far is the third bottle. I am having a very hard time trying to get my hands on a bottle of the 1880 Cuvée here in Ontario Canada. I cannot wait to try the last two bottles. I am hoping to grab a bottle for Christmas so my father in law and I can enjoy.
    Thanks for your videos!

      @@MasterYourGlass so I have commented on a few of your videos and I couldn’t wait to try the bottle of 1880 Cuvée lol. I was trying to save the first sip to experience with my father in law. But due to COVID here in Canada, we’re asked to not see anyone outside of our household.
      Regardless, the 1880 is incredible. But to be honest, so far my favourite out of every kind other than the Quintessence which I haven’t tried, is Cuvée de centenaire . I find it perfectly balanced. The 1880 is definitely strong on the Cognac upfront and wonderful but I would drink the centinaire every day lol.

    You guys in US are absolutely lucky to have anything above the 100th anniversary edition. I am French and let me tell you it's virtually impossible to get any premium Grand Marnier except if you pay up to 10 times the original price ordering from eastern europe or Switzerland with no guarantee how well it's been preserved from light and temperature variations.
    I am really sad because I love Grand Marnier more than anything else and I wish I could try anything above the 100th anniv. edition. It's a dream. Hope you've enjoyed every single drop of these amazing products. The 100th anniversary is absolutely wonderful with its tobacco & sweet orange notes, I can't imagine how the above editions taste.

I asked the bartender how much and he responded w 40 dollars which I ordered 2 , about halfway through mine ( which was excellent btw ) he came back over and apologetically told me that he mistakingly undercharged me and if I wanted another it would be 150 per . Had to give him a 50 for his professionalism .

I have 2011 red bottle, white bottle, 2012 Paris edition, and 2016 nuit bottles, and a BUNCH of the peach raspberry (definitely my favorite one). But besides the peach, I only have one bottle of each and dont want to open them. I'd still like to know a good review on them

    Good video, but I'm confused. In the 1st bottle (Cordon Rogue) you mention 3 components (cognac, orange essence, and beet sugar) that make up the product. However, you describe the finished product as 51% cognac and 49% orange essence⁉️🤔 Where does the sugar fit in?

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. I should’ve clarified in the video that while there are 3 ingredients in Grand Marnier when the company describes its percentage ratios it only factors in the cognac versus orange essence.
      This means the 51% to 49% is 100% of the alcoholic ingredients but does not disclose the how much sugar is added in the bottle in addition to that alcoholic blend of congnac + essence.
      Hope that explains it, holler back if you have any other questions. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

    Great review. My wife loves orange notes in cocktails and chocolate etc. I just found the Cuvee Du Centenaire locally here in Canada (Calgary Alberta to be exact) for $110 USD ($135 CAD) so I bought a bottle for my wife's birthday coming up in a couple weeks. Do you know if this brand uses artificial colour? I really hope not. I'm personally a scotch nerd and E150a is a deal breaker for me. I also wish this cognac was 45% but I'm sure it will be enjoyed. Cheers.

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching and commenting. It’s a tricky question because I am sure Grand Marnier does not add artificial color. However Cognac is allowed to put caramel coloring in their product. So there might be some caramel color indirectly. Enjoy the Cuvée du Centenaire with your wife!

    I have a feeling that your TH-cam will be successful. So, I think the best thing to do at that time is to focus on what you want to do now. I sincerely support and praise your channel, which is working hard for your dream, so that it can develop into a mega-sized channel. Thank you for the universe-like algorithm that made it possible to see good videos. It would be difficult to know all the hard work of video production without seeing it for yourself. If your video looks comfortable and friendly, it's not because it's easy and comfortable, it's because your video is very well made. It's so cool it's amazing. I habitually and inadvertently pass through the videos released by the algorithm, but I accidentally came across your beautiful video and enjoyed it. After watching your video, I realized that miracles were not made by luck, but by your hard work. Don't think you're lucky when a miracle happens on your channel, think it's all thanks to your hard work. If someone enjoys your video, I think it will be a source of strength and comfort. May your talents continue for many years to come.

    Wouldn’t double distilling the orange liqueur leave more of the orange flavor in the still? I mean if you want really pure flavorless vodka you distill it 100 times

    • @MasterYourGlass
      @MasterYourGlass  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      So it’s not only double distilled. It’s also double macerated in the orange peel. Basically they macerate and distill, then they macerate again into that same distillate and distill it again. That process intensifies the orange flavor while still keeping it refined.
