I've seen the TV in person, I'm sure it uses a VA panel. It doesn't have the viewing angles of an IPS, but it's bright, colorful and looks very nice. But I agree with you, Regza should be more transparent and tell customers about nits, contrast ratios, panel type, color gamut etc...
At least put it on the website.
