I feel you! Sleep is soooo important. I’ve found that blocking my schedule really helps me stay on track and stops my procrastination, but I totally didn’t do any preplanning for this week. LOL.
New subscriber here. I've watched a few of your videos this evening and you have a lot of insight that helps us working folks who aspire to write as well. The schedule you followed here is how I've handled my side gig, and sounds like it will translate well to starting my novel once my side gig work slows down. My intention is to do my second NaNoWriMo this year, but I want to start plotting and planning well in advance this time. Your cat is beautiful! She looks a lot like my sister's cat! My cats love to walk over the keyboard when I try to write, lol. Keep up the good work, and I'm finding your videos inspirational for my own writing ambitions.
Aww thank you! I’ve learned you have time if you make time. Being prepared for writing makes the process so much quicker. Haha yesss my cat is silly and loves attention, when she’s ready. LOL. You’ve totally got this! I always compare writing to this analogy. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. How do you write a book? One word at a time. Sometimes I’m not very productive, but I tend to make up for it on the weekends. As long as you start and keep going, eventually you’ll finish. It’s not a race, but more like a marathon! Good luck with your writing endeavors!! Excited for you!

As long as we keep showing up and putting in the effort, we will continue to move forward. I'm less than motivated to work on my side gig project this evening, but I'm getting some of the "easy" stuff out of the way on it so at least I can wake up tomorrow with some progress made and some stuff out of the way. Thanks for these videos that motivate me to keep plugging away at it, even when I'd rather drag myself to bed.
I'm dreading what will happen to my writing when I have to start working again in a few months. I burn out easily, and I need a lot of sleep to function, combining that with working and writing is ... tricky 😅 I'm truly impressed with how you manage to balance it all! :)
Writer Markus Regius you can do it! Procrastination gets me a lot during the week but I still try to get my 1000-2000 words in night. :) I play catch up on weekends a lot. But yessss sleep is so important. ❤️
Audrey Henley we can do this!! LOL! I think the 6 hour thing started in college and I haven’t been able to break it. I sleep more on the weekends though! ❤️
That coffee cup is everything, if only we could all believe in ourselves like Kanye does in himself. Why don't you hire someone for the images? Wouldn't it save more time?
lafemmenikita123 we could but it’s expensive and we typically need things last minute. Usually it’s hard for designers to make an image as quick as I can. :)

I have an HP Tango! It’s been a great printer too. Still have it!
What program do you use to write in?
Janet Simpson I use googledocs. :) This way I have access on each computer I write on, my iPad, and even my phone. It’s invaluable and freeee!
