I have a genuine question regarding something I don’t understand (actually two). What is the point of AP Shaco over AD except when you have AD heavy teamcomp? The other one is, why play it top? A lot of other champions just feel more beneficial because of the pressure they can create, are better at farming/shoving waves, scale better, etc. To me it just seems like Shaco is only acceptable when AD and when in jungle because of the ganking and burst potential od hypercarries. Objective stealing too. Still gets hard countered by good vision. Obviously, Pinkward makes it work because he plays nothing else. Same for Chase if that’s his name. Except them, Shaco seems just like a for fun champ with outplay potential that’s not rewarding enough. I hate having a Shaco on my team unless he gets fed and he’s AD. It just feels like people don’t really amount to anything when they play AP Shaco in my games. Ofc I’m pisslow and sadly not hitting master this season. I am asking because I trully want to understand the appeal of this champ.
Mostly for memes, I imagine pink just likes shaco. As for AP it makes it so your boxes scale in damage. They’ve also made E (throwing knife) scale with AP to some degree, and your ult boxes obviously scale as well. I think that’s the ONLY chance you have top lane as shaco as the melee champs would own a lethality shaco. In my opinion. Overall it’s not a great pick but looks very fun and rewarding if you can pull it off.
