The Elder Scrolls Lore: Hircine

- Hircine is the Daedric Prince of the Hunt, the Sport of Daedra, and the Great Game. Hircine isn't exactly an evil Daedric Prince, as he never fails to give his prey a chance at escape or survival, as to not make the Great Hunt unfair. Hircine is commonly revered by many who are Lycanthropes or other Therianthropes, as they travel to his realm upon death, to participate in the neverending Game of the Hunt. This video discusses Hircine, his worshippers, his plane of Oblivion, as well as many other topics regarding his historical significance on Nirn and Oblivion as a Daedric Prince.

I would love a shivering isles style dlc for Hircine & his realm for The Elder Scrolls VI
Yes! Maybe about a large group getting stuck in his realm and trying to escape. Maybe Two armies in a battle that accidentaly opened a portal to Oblivion and ended up in his hunting grounds.
PS: Just realized how good an idea this is, so if this actually happens i want credits from Bethesda lol.

Hercine is based on the Horned God from European Paganism. I think it's cool that Besthsdea took inspiration from real world religion.

Reminds me of the Erlking, who is the leader of the Wild Hunt.
They based a lot of Aedra and Daedra on real life religion and folk lore. Like Hermaous Mora being based on Cthulu or Mehrunes Dagon being based on the christian interpretation of Satan

Werewolves are much better than vampires in my opinion.
There's not even debating, they are the perfect hunters, not some blood-sucking monsters created when Molag Bal felt bored. (But then, the reason Hircine created the Werewolves isn't any more glorious.)

It's interesting that you used music from the Witcher 3, I actually feel that Hircine would be depicted more accurately as an Ancient Leshen due to its prowess, strength and mysticism.

I recently started playing Daggerfall and was infected with lycanthropy. Is the strange dream of the less than human man (cant remember exactly what he was called) a depiction of Hircine but without the skull?

For some reason this theme fits my modded Ayleid character in Skyrim.
Wasn't there a bloodmoon event in Skyrim? When you hunt sinding? I may be wrong, but if you look at the Moon when you enter the cave to kill sinding, looks a lot like a bloodmoon.
I'm pretty sure that blood moon was a vampire thing in Skyrim. Been a while since i played it though so i might be wrong.

Boring story: So before I took a break to eat and watch this video I was doing my homework. Well, while I do homework I frequent the soundtracks of my favorite games, the Witcher being one of them. The beginning REALLY threw me for a loop when suddenly I was blasted by Witcher music since I switched from laptop to iPad😂
