Congratulations to your Dad! I have done the Stephen West mystery KAL the past 2 years. They are so much fun! Happy you are enjoying yours. It looks great, so does Joji’s shawl. Safe travels to you
Success! It uploaded and is a delight. I love your Garden cardigan and agree about making it longer....the pattern design looks like it's longer. I love the incorporated button band too. Good work adding some length to your summer tee too....I'm with you on not liking really short sleeves. Happy travels and birthday to your dad.
Wow! Congrats to your dad on reaching 101. My Nana lived to a 100, but my parents were not so fortunate. Great idea to modify your Tee to make it more wearable. I need to do the same with a few of my makes. I love your garden cardigan and that marl of the cornflower blue and grey is amazing. I would make the cardigan longer too. It fits you so well. I plan to make one too. That Joji shawl with the lace is gorgeous. I may have to make it. Do you think it could be made larger? I am currently knitting a couple of Chunky Monkey vests for my youngest grandchildren in their favourite colours. So much fun! Can’t wait to finish them and then deliver them next week when they are visiting my eldest daughter in northern Alberta (they live near San Francisco, so any chance to visit us worth a 12 hour drive from the interior of BC). Also knitting the Turtle Dove Cardigan by Melissa Clulow for me eldest daughter’s 50th birthday- a very fun knit with the button band knit as you go like the garden sweater. I would love to try a linen wool mix. I hear really great things about this mix. Thanks for the book recommendations. I am listening to the Heaven and Earth Grocery Store at the moment. Really enjoying it.
So good to hear from you! I'm not sure about making the Amren shawl wider at it's widest point. I'll think about that while I'm working on it. She definitely intended it for a one-skein project. I had to look up the Chunky Monkey. What a cute project! I have yarn to make vests for my granddaughters and was thinking of something for Christmas as we plan to be together then. After knitting the Calliopi, I am such a fan of Melissa Clulow (and would love some of her yarn!). I'm actually thinking of knitting the Calliopi again without mohair this time, because it fits so well.
Hello Kathy. I just subscribed. Birthday blessing to Dad on 101..give him greetings from Sydney Australia. Im Bondi Crafter on TH-cam. I do enjoy seeing knitting craft projects and the yarns used. I'll have a look at your previous episodes. Best wishes.
Thank you! Dad got a kick out of hearing birthday wishes from across the sea. I enjoyed watching one of your recent episodes about the Corran Cardigan, which I've been thinking of making. I had never heard of paper piecing. And I subscribed. Thanks for watching!
Hello Kathy I went back and you were talking about the Pressed Flowers xardigan and I am mostly used to English style of knitting patterns with bottom up patterns. I see what your talking about with the armhole opening length and how it could be tight when your used to yolk construction. My recipe for all of my dropped shoulder bottom up jumpers or vests is 12 inches to the armhole and 12 inches from armhole to shoulder. Im 5 ft 7in and usually size 18 1X. Best wishes from Sydney Australia
I like how you know the measurement that works for you. I'm working on a drop shoulder sweater right now that is just barely big enough in the sleeves.
My Torc Cardigan is currently blocking! I knit it with a KAL with Carol Feller, which has been fun. Mine has sleeves that just reach the elbow, because of yarn shortage...but I quite like it 😊
I saw your Torc on Ravelry and it looks great! The yarn really shows the design so nicely. When I swatched with the Nua in the darker blue I felt the texture wasn't so visible. I'm looking forward to casting on next week, after one more family visit.
Thank you 😊 . Still have some of your episodes to watch and that makes me " heart jumping"! ❤️ ❤️ ❤love from Lisbon!!!!!😊
So kind of you! And I love watching Sarah who gave us that wonderful phrase
Happy Birthday to your dad. The garden cardigan looks really nice on you. Very pretty.
Thank you!
Love your colors a always👌❤️🙏
Thanks so much!

Thank You! I do love those incorporated bands. And this pattern creates a nice firm edge.

You piqued my interest for the Garden Cardigan by Ankestrik... ❤❤❤
It's really a great design!
