10:30. Yzerman didn't "let" those guys go over the summer. They either wanted more money and term (Perron) or really weren't interested in coming back (Gostisbehere).
I’m not upset at the Wings off-season. If you listen to Yzerman’s presser, he says that he wanted to be healthier. Fabbri, who barely played at all, was replaced with Tarasanko who’s already played over 30 games. Walman was replaced with Gustafsson, more defensive stability. Also lost Ghost, but needed to let Edvinsson a spot. So he did what he wanted, just hasn’t panned out. Wings look good after they fired LaLonde.
I listened to all of GMSY's pressers, so I agree but how the heck is Gustafsson more defensive stability than Walman? Gus was supposed to be a drop in replacement for Ghost, not Wally, and it hasn't worked out at all. Thankfully Edvinsson has been such a revelation, because we would have felt Walman's absense far worse if Ed wasn't so shockingly good.
Enough with this - Derek Lalonde should have been fired at the beginning of the season - Whatever system that they were running - it did not work or the players could not perform it - it is hard to Know exactly which - but the players knew it didn't work - it was obvious from the start of the season .

I read that Ghost would've come back if Steve would've agreed to a third year but that Steve only wanted to go two with him.
@@kevinwasserburger3119got too many kids in the pipeline to tie up money for the additional year
@@kevinwasserburger3119 Well, I read that Ghost signed for the same money and term with Carolina that Stevie was offering. Who knows?
@@dukeford8893 I think I remember reading Ghost was asking for around 5 million/year. Too high for the Wings.
@@----john---- He signed a three- year deal @ $3.2M/year. The sticking point was probably the term.

Good point by Max about doing more harm than good by keeping coaches and GM’s on a revolving door.

Wings need to cut the apron on Yzerman.
