    It turns out I was doing this at my fittest years ago and didn't know it lol. Either with common sense or from the great advice from my amazing personal trainer had finally sunk in. Hope it works again, my body is annoying super adaptive. Good luck to me 😀

    I'm so thankful for this information. I have gained some weight along my core,hips and booty that seemed so hard to lose.
    I've been eating "right" and increasing my protein intake. I would lose a few pounds then gain even more.

    *I find that doing intense workouts on my low carb day - the day after my highest carb day - gives me the most energy because (assuming) I have the energy from the previous high carb day.* Anyone else experience this❓

    First off I want to say that your channel is very useful and I recommend people to watch your videos. When carb cycling, how should you manage the rest of your macros? So on high carb days, should I eat less protein? Then on low eat more? Or does it effect the amount of fat I should be eating?

    Vince - love all the vids and the education - keep em up! Quick question, I started carb cycling last Sunday and I wanted to know if I need to adjust my high carb days since I work out first thing in the morning. Mondays and Fridays are my "hard training" days. Would you advice that I do high carb days Sunday and Thursday so that I have the fuel that I need for that morning? Thanks in advance!

    First off thank you for making these videos. You had mentioned in your video 3 body types. Can't tell you the names of them cause I have no idea way you said. Could you elaborate more on those? I'm new at the this and been following while implementing your videos for a month now. I don't see any results nor have I lost weight. I've changed my diet and Added supplements such as protein. I feel stronger but not looking it. Lol. Just trying to understand the basics.

    I work out in the mornings and I don’t eat before I work out, for two reasons. 1. I don’t have time
    2. I’m not hungry when I first wake up
    So for my hard work out days do I eat high carb the day before or the day of after my work out?

    Thanks for your work V. I would like to challenge two things you mentioned in the video----the low carb day is the most difficult day at the gym (due to fatigue) and second, include a cheat day if you are experiencing a plateau. I have heard that these signs may be part of a carb imbalance or "hangover" and therefore, folks who experience this should actually be reducing carbs long term. These symptoms are also possibly linked to carbohydrate intolerance. Thoughts?

    I've been thinking of carb cycling as some days keto and some days not keto. But when I looked up the macros for keto, it's like less than 5% carbs and less than 25% protein, while the macros I've seen for carb cycling seem to be less than 10% carbs (rather than 5%) and don't put a limit on protein consumption. Why is this? Specifically the protein thing. Is there something about carb cycling that makes it so your body doesn't convert excess protein into sugar as the keto people seem to claim?

      That all depends on your goals! For most of my clients I let them have a once a week "off menu" meal but I also teach them how to do it properly! ~Benny

    I do boxing class from 5pm-6pm on tuesdays and thursdays

      We typically set these up as Low, Medium, high, low, low, medium, high. But you can actually set them up in any way you prefer. Just stick with 3 low, 2 moderate and 2 high carb days.

      Hi Lizzie, Nutrition is the most important aspect of losing weight as being in a calorie deficit will be the way everyone would lose weight. With regards to your training I would talk with a specialist (PT) and see what the best approach is for you.

    I went up to 266 lbs from an antidepressant and staying in bed for 8 years after an accident. This year I’ve lost 90
    Lbs but now I have lots of loose skin and am stuck at 175, occasionally going up a few lbs. is this why??? It makes so much sense!

      Similar to me Lindsay R. After coming off medication I was allergic to for mental health, I had intruders putting tramadol in my house and food and cafés putting it in my coffee and tea causing anaphylaxis, inflammation and weight gain. I put on 2 stones in 6 months. I have changed the door and keys again to try to stay fit and healthy so I can exercise. The tramadol is shocking for killing the joints and muscles. They knew I was allergic to it and did it on purpose 😑 After childbirth I was on weight watchers and lost 6 stones over 6 years and often hit plateaus. This explanation from Vince Sally's ISBN number on the book makes sense 🙂

    How do I figure out what I need to eat for my high low and medium days or how do I figure out when to do them like low carb on Monday through Wednesday high on Friday through Sunday and medium on Thursday how would I go about that

    I tried lifting while on a low carb diet... it sucked. I was halfway through my warm up and I just had to stop and go home. Since that day I always eat a post workout meal when lifting. On rest days I do fasted cardio in the morning and stay on a low carb meal for the whole day.

      jeff prince yes working out on an empty stomach very effect, especially for fat burning since your body is depleted of glycogen. therefore while working out your body will burn fat for fuel.

    Do you need to eat all the carbs/fat portion? Or if you don't need all the carbs in high carb day or all the fat in a low carb day you can skip them?

    What about long term low carb periods, like keto? l dropped 35lb easily but I've been on a 6 week plateau and not sure what to do, would a cheat meal be beneficial?

      Increase your intake of supplements such as vitamins A, B-COMPLEX, C, D, E and K. Take fish oil capsules, MCT (through coconut oil or supplements).

      Completely normal, your metabolism underwent a compensatory response to chronic dieting and slowed. This is only temporary providing you know how to recharge it. If stuck in a long plateau you should undergo a 2 week refeed period where you eat at your TDEE with mostly carbs (healthy carbs). Recommence your diet following this but implement at least one refeed day per week as per the above protocol to prevent your metabolism slowing again.

      Because when he suddenly takes in carbs again his hormonal profile will reset to pre weight loss levels (i.e. the level that allowed him to lose all this weight) and he'll be able to lose weight again when he goes back to full keto.

    Hey Vince, i came across ur video on pinterest and watched it till the end ...i realised im an endomorph(female).. got inspired to join ur program...but when i checked a few testimonies and reviews i only got a negative feedback abt you n ur site...everybody said its dupe and fake and ur cheating etc..i was still searching for help and i again come across this video which is very informative especially for beginners like me..what should i do???

    I lift 5 times a week and work 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm. I work out at 11am-130pm. How should I try this method? It's hard for me to wake up early to eat (but if I have to doit then so be it) otherwise should I still eat high carbs on bigger muscle group days even though ill be done with my workouts long before my lunch breaks? and vise versa for the smaller muscle groups except with lower carbs. Help? Tips?
