Loved the video. I actually own one these, and this helped me understand it better. Though, to be fair, I’m still a little confused. But, I won’t let that stop me from plugging things in and turning knobs. This did get me inspired, that’s for sure!

Thanks for your very clear explanations! Had absolutely no idea how it works, and it is veeeeery interesting, can't even begin to think about how weird it can get with other modules :O

How did you mixed the EFX back into the main Signal? I get that the third row is for sending to EFX Devices, but where do you mix in the Signal back into the mix? Is there a second mixer?

Yes, my audio recorder has several audio inputs and I recorded the EFX on a separate track.

@@tuesdaynightmachines Ah okay! Tats good to know :) Confusion cleared. All in all pretty nice concept of a mixer.
Are you still using it. I'm currently looking for something for DAWless Setup with 4 devices

Some interesting ideas here, but I’m not thrilled by the connector soup or the knobless trimpots, and for a standalone unit, 4x4 feels stingy.

I guess it comes down to cost and space. Adding a larger matrix than 4x4 will increase the size significantly and cost more obviously. In my wardrobe, a bigger device just wouldn't fit comfortably for example.
Adding knob caps from the get go, would increase the price by 10% I'd guess, if you just got normal caps. Nice knob caps would cost even more. But as I mentioned in the video, you can easily add those yourself, as someone demonstrated on Mod Wiggler already :)
And the cable/connector soup ... yeah, I can see that :D The manufacturer comes from the modular synth world I think, where this is quite normal, which is why it didn't bother me so far. But I do understand that it's not ideal for everyone. It's very intuitive though, because the sockets are always right next to their signal source/target.

Haha, yes. That‘s Gotharman‘s Little deFormer 3. There‘s lots of videos about it on my channel too. It‘s awesome! Check it out :)
