Our video editor Radosław "MAKKU" Makuch has released a video with the best plays and individual actions which took place during ESL One Katowice 2015.
In the first major of the year, a resurgent fnatic defeated NiP 2-1 and secured $100,000 in the process.
And though the dust has long since settled on the Spodek Arena where the grand final took place, our video editor Radosław "MAKKU" Makuch has been busy crafting a frag-packed highlight reel worthy of the major itself.
The movie primarily uses in-game footage and follows a sequential format: meaning that the actions you will see begin in the first matches of the group stages, proceed through the GSL group battles that took place, and then move on into the playoffs all the way until the grand final.

MAKKU youve perfected music/sync/look/editing man, your editing is absolutely fantastic and one of the best ive seen for years
but what you need to work on more is STORYTELLING to people who may not know the game what's going on.
for example get_rights 1v3 last second clutch, you didnt include a timer that he killed the last guy with 0.5 remaining. That's what makes it FANTASTIC, and to someone who doesnt know, it's literally just a plain old 1v3, and it's sad that many people can't see that for what it was. I wish you included that.
tell a STORY as a narrator through your filmmaking, rivals/enemies/struggles/comebacks. i know this is a "highlights" reel, but if you start making stuff as fantastic as this (and it really is great), just go the extra way to storytell a little bit more
you'll transcend to the next level of moviemaker if you can incite that, the most memorable movies are ones that give us memorable/emotional stories. we've all seen these frags before, but what you can do is GIVE THEM A PLACE IN HISTORY

Somehow it's 2020 and as a kid who played this game since 2016, this gives me goosbumps
My first major, the memories... I miss TosspoT's casting and this pro scene was far better than today's clusterfuck we have.
coming from 2022 as someone who used to watch these games during school, there is never gonna be another scene like this.

Oglądając to czułem się jak bym poszedł do kina na premiere filmu na który czekałem parę lat. I mimo, że każdą z tych akcji widziałem dziesiątki razy przy każdej czułem dreszcze i chciało się oglądać dalej! Zajebista robota makku! Brakuje mi jedynie 3k z p250 Taza na cobblu. Jak to widziałem na żywo to odzyskałem nadzieję w wygraną VP.

Actually, I thought that it would be like last year video "Through The Lens...". That video is perfectly reflects all the emotions and experiences of the whole tournament, and this video is nothing more than a compilation of highlights, that we can watch separately aswell. This is my opinion, you can blame it or not, but I still believe that HLTV.org will do the video like i said. Still wanted to say thank you to MAKKU for work that he did. Good job!

ESL Katowice was great, but the lack of Anders, and no Semmler at all made it a little less exiting. Anders and Semmler is the best casters imo. Does anyone know why Semmler didn't cast?
