Thailand. Pattaya. Koh Larn island. 11 April 2023.

For clear water and beautiful views, we went to the closest island to Pattaya, Koh Larn. It is nine kilometres from the city in the Gulf of Thailand. All ferry passengers were asked to put on life jackets before departure. Not in vain, as it turned out. Halfway through the engine room, steam was pouring out. It looked as if the engine had overheated. The sailor, who had already managed to fall asleep in his dark cockpit, was urgently awakened by the captain and they went into the hold with ladles of water. After a few minutes, not the most pleasant for an unprepared organism, buffeted by the waves to the right and left, we sailed on. We reached the island at Na Ban Pier and visited Tien Beach. Looking at the video, it does not seem that it was very hot there. But we remember that day as the hottest of the whole winter. On the way to the beach I had to wipe the sweat off my hands literally every minute. A little later we learnt that Southeast Asia had been blanketed by abnormal heat.
