Frank definitely has a great sense of humor, goes with the flow, is incredibly social, and knows how to engage his audience, personalizing every answer to the asker. But he's also adept at saying just enough to be a little, but not a lot, thoughtful, and uses humor to change the subject while seeming endearing. Smooth guy, this one. I can him being as mischievous and flighty as his character is in the book, but also as a more complex person who isn't malicious as much as a bit immature and a playboy. On the other hand, I'm glad he gave Harriet pause for thought about trusting your gut when it comes to life (and business) partners!
Emma: "Do you like nancho cheece?" Martin: "Not as much as I used to." Frank: "Do you like yoghurt?" Harriet: "Not as much as I used to" I LOVE these small details you put in these series, Pemberley Digital! They are so much fun to find and so nuanced you barely notice them. ^^
"Not as much as I used to" -Aww poor Harriet. I have to say, that jump over the seat and out the door was super cute. Happy Fro-Yo Time! It was very interesting seeing the bluntness of Frank contrasting with Harriet's shyness. (I also agree he reminded me a bit of Fitz from LBD.)
The way he says "That would be tragic!" Words need not be said. Frank Churchill is just too cool. I always remind myself what he actually does but then I always end up liking him from the start and end up like Emma when all is revealed. "It's FroYo time!" Why is that not part of every job description?
I love this video because one can imagine Emma watching it, seeing Harriet giggle, and going "She's going to fall for Frank", but also see how the two of them just develop a great friendship. I hope a fun time with Frank will redeem yogurt in Harriet's eyes. Elton should not get to ruin it for her.
He sounds (and talks stylistically) like Obama -or any general politician. Delivering his lines (the character, not actor) as if he is working from a script of team-approved catch phrases.
People who've read Emma - did you hear the smooth hairstylist reference... I love how they're incorporating the book here.. P. S. Frank's voice *swooooons*
ahh not a mistake, but lets just say youll see more of him to come, and maybe some tension, but like most austen novels, there'll be a happy ending for him :)
i just watched emma and read the book, of the feels, theyve captured knightley and emma perfectly! but jane is not so accurate, she comes across mean here, whereas shes supposed to be super shy but also nice, she's only mean to emma later on!!
He is so charming I feel the need to watch it over and over again to see through him and to read into his posture and noncommital answers and just to hear his voice and admire his face and his hair. Oh dear.
lol I love how he kept incorporating their sn's into his responses. He's just a little . . . *too* suave and clever, though, you know? Eager to see how they play the whole thing out. IMO, Emma is the Jane Austin book with the least "scandalous" scandal, though I haven't read Northanger Abbey yet so I don't know about that one. But I'm curious if they'll make it more of a scandal in this or what.
Hahah, aww the ending! I hope frozen yogurt, yogurt, and the like are not ruined forever, because of past incidents! They are just too good. But this was great, can't wait to see what happens next :D
Frank's posture reveal so much of his character...for at least the first half of the video he was just leaning towards the other side, subconsciously trying to take up more space to the point where Harriet was almost tipping over the other side of the chair. Very good character dynamics here.
‘Whether business or life partners, you need to find someone who compliments you. I like someone who can do the things I can’t.’ If that isn’t a massive giveaway I don’t know what is. Obviously his dream partner isn’t Emma.
Oh man, what a voice! I want to him to narrate all my audiobooks now [especially the romances with the sexytimes ;)]. Actually, scratch that, can he narrate my audiobooks, my life, what have you? I just want to listen to his voice all the time! Loving the character establishment too. Frank's always been mercurial enough to be neither an outright villain nor a laudable hero. Every word out of his mouth reminds me of those vague answers full of big words and technical terms you write in your exams when you have no idea what you're talking about :D
I know how this plays out in the end, but I can honestly say that this is the first time I've fallen for Frank Churchill. Man, he's good. Like, you can say he's TOO charming all day long, but I can totally relate to Harriet in this situation.
The problem with Frank was never that he's a bad person - it was always that he's a little boy on the inside. He thinks that everyone else is in on his secrets and subterfuges, and that if they're not, then they'd be accepting anyway. He pouts when he doesn't get his way, and he wants everyone to love him. He's just not aware of the consequences for the people he actually cares about.
that end was ridiculously cute. at first i didn't think frank was charming (like in the book) until this video. totally nailed it. and oooh. i see jane fairfax! i want to meet emma's dad! he's one of my favorite characters.
At first I noticed that Frank was kind of invading Harriet's personal space, not in a bad way, just in the shoulder touchy I'm good with being close to you way, and then the froyo thing.... It is sooo nice that there's someone "high and mighty" besides Emma and Knightly that appreciate and enjoy Harriet's presence. So cute :)
Possibly my most favorite Frank Churchill ever! Kudos to Stephen Chang for making us all actually like a character that is so superficial. I may not like the man but I definitely agree with him on the topic of Froyo :P And these people... Why are they torturing us like this??? That teaser of Jane Fairfax is guaranteed to make people like me unable to function normally for the next couple of hours.
Does the fro-yo thing at the end of the video refer to the part about Frank Churchill's haircut in the actual book?? Because I think they were just trying to get across that Frank makes spontaneous decisions...
"There's a time for work and there's a time for fro-yo." Wise words indeed.
That was the best part!!
Indeed
That leap tho, so much enthusiasm for the froyo :) Love it!
Frank seems to be a mix of Emma, Fitz and a teensy amount of... Wickham. That makes him likable.
He so is....I miss Fitz :-(
omg yes he totally is! he talks like fitz, business like emma and likable but a jerk like wickham eesh. im scared cause i like him right now
Frank definitely has a great sense of humor, goes with the flow, is incredibly social, and knows how to engage his audience, personalizing every answer to the asker. On the other hand, I'm glad he gave Harriet pause for thought about trusting your gut when it comes to life (and business) partners!
On every Emma Approved video, I always look for your comments. They’re very insightful, intelligent and analytical.
Haha, thanks Kenne. :)
Emma: "Do you like nancho cheece?"
Martin: "Not as much as I used to."
Frank: "Do you like yoghurt?"
Harriet: "Not as much as I used to"
I LOVE these small details you put in these series, Pemberley Digital! They are so much fun to find and so nuanced you barely notice them. ^^
Okay, I really like Frank now. He has a great voice and he seems more real now than in the earlier episodes :)
100% agree, it probably helps we are a little more familiar with his character now, but he does seem more genuine than before, kudos to Stephen Chang!
And he seem to like Hariet, that makes it easier to like him!
Anyone who is nice to Harriet is alright by me!
Definitely the best Churchill I have ever seen. So much suave swagger it's ridiculous! (in a good way)
Omg Frank Churchill, they did a good job portraying him as this cool likable guy.
Harriet will not be moved by Yogurt again.
I ADORE THIS MAN HE CANNOT BE IN ENOUGH OF THIS SERIES!!!
He reminds me so much of Fitz!
I love this Frank! He's such a cutie and a natural flirt; it's easy to see where Emma gets all of her ideas about him!
I like how obsessed people in the PD universe are with froyo.
The way he says "That would be tragic!" Words need not be said.
Frank Churchill is just too cool. I always remind myself what he actually does but then I always end up liking him from the start and end up like Emma when all is revealed.

Oh boy... He's good...
He sounds (and talks stylistically) like Obama -or any general politician. Delivering his lines (the character, not actor) as if he is working from a script of team-approved catch phrases.
Totally! He comes off as... off. There's something too practiced, too false about him.
People who've read Emma - did you hear the smooth hairstylist reference... I love how they're incorporating the book here..
P. S. Frank's voice *swooooons*
Ilika Trivedi he has to fly to London to get his hair cut now...instead of just riding there.
"D'you know what time it is?"
I probably laughed too hard at this last exchange.
I really, really, really, really like Frank Churchill. A lot. Is that a mistake?
ahh not a mistake, but lets just say youll see more of him to come, and maybe some tension, but like most austen novels, there'll be a happy ending for him :)
Nope, he's very charming and everyone (save snarky Knightley) likes him.
i just watched emma and read the book, of the feels, theyve captured knightley and emma perfectly! but jane is not so accurate, she comes across mean here, whereas shes supposed to be super shy but also nice, she's only mean to emma later on!!
Frank had me laughing all the way through. He seems like an awesome guy, so chill. Love it.
Am I the only one who is reminded of Fitz when He speaks?
Totally my thought too. But I like that, because Fitz was so entertaining!
He and his "jump out of the seat" exits!
He is so charming I feel the need to watch it over and over again to see through him and to read into his posture and noncommital answers and just to hear his voice and admire his face and his hair. Oh dear.

sn's ???
osmia screennames, i believe?
Yes, screen names.
"That would be tragic."
His delivery cracked me up!
Anyone else notice Harriet's look when he talked about finding your first love
I love the way he jumps over the bench. that's soo adorable!!!
Wow, between Lydia's obsession with froyo and now Frank's, somebody on the writing crew must get some serious froyo cravings every once in a while
Froyo time! Frank seems fun and I like how he talks. :) Also, I can't wait to see Jane!
I like how he's making Harriet enjoy things again
can't can't CAN'T WAIT for Jane Fairfax!
I loved the answer for what he looks for in a partner.
Someone who can do the things you can't.
Perfect!
Hahah, aww the ending! I hope frozen yogurt, yogurt, and the like are not ruined forever, because of past incidents! They are just too good. But this was great, can't wait to see what happens next :D
"Not as much as I used too..." Awwww... Harriet!
Harriet's dress is ADORABLE!
This is so endearing towards Churchill I love it!
Maaaan he sounds like Obama, it's crazy, haha
I was trying to remember who he sounded like!!!!! And you're right, he has such an Obama accent!
Way cooler though :P
Exactly what I was thinking!
Hahaha! Agreed! :)
I thought so too!!
Can't wait for the Frank Churchill storyline- GREAT introduction!
I am obsessed with Frank Churchill's voice...
Harriets look of horror before following Frank for the froyo is priceless!
Frank's posture reveal so much of his character...for at least the first half of the video he was just leaning towards the other side, subconsciously trying to take up more space to the point where Harriet was almost tipping over the other side of the chair. Very good character dynamics here.

I was sooo close to seeing Jane's face! I cant wait much longer
Frank's answers are very true to him, even the evasive ones.
I know how this plays out in the end, but I can honestly say that this is the first time I've fallen for Frank Churchill. Man, he's good. Like, you can say he's TOO charming all day long, but I can totally relate to Harriet in this situation.

I love everything about this series. So fantastic!
thinking back on martin maybe?
LOVE THIS FRANK he’s adorable
The many sides of Frank Churchill. He is so much more relaxed. This is gonna be fun!
Frank Churchill reminds me a lot of Fitz from LBD. They're both probably my favorite :)
So so good! I've been missing Emma Approved this whole month!
LOVE Harriet's dress!!
"Do you like yogurt?"
"Not as much as I used too."
Remind you of?
"Do you like nacho cheese?"
"Not as much as I used to."
"Not as much as I used to"
I'm feeling emotions.
that end was ridiculously cute. at first i didn't think frank was charming (like in the book) until this video. totally nailed it. and oooh. i see jane fairfax! i want to meet emma's dad! he's one of my favorite characters.
He reminds me a little bit of Fitz from LBD. esp at 0:42
What a voice!
Loving Frank already!
THAT. WAS. HILARIOUS.
That, "not as much as I used to," line made me break a little inside.
I see Jane on the next video! I can't wait!
He's so charming
I saw that moment of ponderance on Harriet's face when Frank said to "trust your instinct" :D
omg Frank is crayyyyyy (and I love Harriet's dress)
Love his voice!
Frank Churchill speaks WISDOM on froyo.
He looks like he's leanin'. Hopefully someone gets that reference. LOVE the froyo response.
While You Were Sleeping? ;)
I was thinking that the entire time!
So cute :)
Great Q & A! And I like Frank's hair better here...
It's like he's trying to be the new Fitz and it isn't working
This made me love Frank so much. Right on!
loving harriet's dress!
haha i love the ending
ALL OF THE CHARISMA
Ahahaha, I love Frank's exuberance for FroYo! :D
I love frank!!!!
Loved the ending!
I love the yogurt reference :)
NOW I WANT FROYO!
Possibly my most favorite Frank Churchill ever! Kudos to Stephen Chang for making us all actually like a character that is so superficial.
I may not like the man but I definitely agree with him on the topic of Froyo :P
And these people... Why are they torturing us like this??? That teaser of Jane Fairfax is guaranteed to make people like me unable to function normally for the next couple of hours.
lorrrrrrdddd when is the next episode coming a month has passed!!!!!
YOGURT. LET'S GO.
Frank Churchill both confuses and amuses me.
Thhiiiss is the Frank Churchill I fell for.
He's got Wickham-like Charm without being quite as much as a dick. He's also got Fitz-like fun. He's a sweetheart somehow
I love a man who is always down for FroYo!!
Harriet's face when he describes true love though…MARTIN
Did I see a little Jane Fairfax torso in there?
I've never wanted to hate a character so much... (but dang, he's beautiful!)
Does the fro-yo thing at the end of the video refer to the part about Frank Churchill's haircut in the actual book?? Because I think they were just trying to get across that Frank makes spontaneous decisions...
Wow Frank seems like the most intresting man in the world. Everything he says seems important.
Where are Harriet's shoes from?! Love them!
Love Harriet and Frank's chemistry too! Great on-screen!
And Harriet's OBVIOUS "thinking about BMart" faces when Frank was saying things about complimenting each other and love at first sight were PERFECT.
Angela Sullivan
ooh I didn't get that! :D
I like the way he sits.
i really like Frank.
It's Jane isn't? I can't wait!
Where is the new video? :(
I'VE FIGURED IT OUT!!! Frank reminds me of Tom Cruise!
