Olivier Lopez Ch I took it and got a 90 it wasn't as hard as I thought. I read a book and watched the mark Thomas course on Lynda and studied a lot.
I have taken a few practice tests online and it doesn't seem that complicate, once you study for a while all questions start to feel like common sense
can I ask what book and how long did you study?

Wow, there's a surprising amount of hate in the comments directed towards the need for ITIL. I mean, I know it's not a fun topic, but it's how IT is currently managing SLAs and metrics. I think we need a better way to measure metrics and meet SLAs, but this is what we have and I don't have any better ideas, so knowing this stuff is important to making your working career less stressful.
Hey Daniel, Information security measures are steadily increasing in scope, complexity, and importance. It can be applied to almost every type of IT environment and therefore one of the most widely acknowledged certifications for IT professionals.
Simplilearn ok. I mean, my comment was SUPPORTING the current use of ITIL, but sure, attacking me works too.
I dont think he is attacking you, ITIL is key to a any IT organisation for it to grow and improve. The value ITIL service cycle provides is that when apply'd correctly you will detect where you can improve even if you need to micro manage. The insight and tools you'll gain as makeing the use of this infrastructure is already proven and thats why they call it best practice.
imo ITIL is very underrated because of the insight you need to understand how it actually works and cant be done by just one person. This requires alot of commitment of the team or organisation you work with and should be taken very sirriously. Any well formed organisation that you can think off with IT services are making use of ITIL and will be ISO certified
The only thing that will be different is the culture of the bussiness that they are running.

Great quick review, cannot be a main source though. Found a really good video from edureka on here if you can deal with the thick accent and 3 hour run time paired with this as a review i dont even think youll need the source material feom anything else.

This cert is pointless. Without giving real world examples, actual processes instead of theories, this is just information. It’s fluff and BS. Anyone already working in the field is usually doing it without this certification.

Its not pointless if you need to design the life cycles and think of how ITIL can be implanted in unmanaged bussinesses. For bussiness that are transistion from analog to the digital world this applies very well. Alot of companies are getting old and needs to transit into IT to make the bussiness to work. ITIL can be usefull to implant the structure to keep things managed. This will give extra value to internally costumers & services and externally.
