Auto cut does not give correct mileage because fuel gushes into the tank at high speed from the dispenser creating fumes inside the tank which incidentally raises the fuel level which later escapes. Try filling the tank upto the brim and check , you will get better results much closer to the car display.

If you want to check mileage then fill the tank upto last.... Till it visible to you completely.....its the best method.....because tank gas also play roll in mileage variations...
I am having same experience with my 2016 XUV500 w8. I use start-stop continuously aith AC on all time. Highway mileage little higher around 18 and city mileage little lower around 15...I am little aggressive driver...for a this size vehicle with 2.2 L engine this is quite good
Its not hard , i think its just a bit on heavy side like most diesel cars! On contrary petrols have super light clutches! Won’t even feel the clutch on cars like swift nd i20
Hi myself Sidhesh from Goa, Amazing information about XUV 500 milage 👍, me also having W10 2015 make and with stock replacement filter... but me getting 15kmpl in Goa and I drive mostly on NH4 highway and mostly in 6th with average speed of 70 and rpm 1500... Now will be doing servicing at 40k run and will see if any improvement with engine oil change, diesel filter and fuel filter change.

2 times you filled but petrol brand was different. that might have influenced mileage. Becoz 1st time you filled full tank and it was not empty when you filled 2nd time while going to highway drive and petrol brand changed.
Xuv 500 inta milage de nahi sakti never possible bcoz I have also xuv mene aj tak 2000rmp and 100 se age chalya nahi most Highway running then meri 12km se upper mileage nahi deti
You are right bro. I also tried to find the best mileage of my XUV 500 today as in city and highway mixed conditions without AC, it provided me a mileage of 13.45 KM/L. I was driving below 2000 RPM at a normal speed. In city 40 km/h and on highway 70 km/h.
Dear Mahindra team, This Vikas dayal is enough to open your chaddi with all the faults he is a racing with his XUV 500. My better suggestion to Mahindra is to give him a new well R&D waala XUV 500 with no faults. Or else I will also start my own channel and start vlogging on my new Thar!!!!!

if you want to check actual mielage the you have to drive the car atleast for 150km for both city and highway case

Air filter also played in fuel economy in deisel car every 1100 km air filter must be cleaned with proper crusing & air pressure..
