Still blown away by how many languages you actually speak...!!! Did you grow up speaking many languages, or did you learn them overtime through higher education??? Also, which language has been the most challenging and why?
Thank you! So kind. I didn't grow up speaking another language but in Wales you start learning basic Welsh at 3 years old. I started French at 11 and then Spanish at 16 but that was what really started it. I taught myself Spanish and then did GCSE in a year and A level right away so I realised that I could just do the same things and do any language. I went to Uni and did Spanish, Portuguese and Russian with some credits in Arabic whilst doing evening classes in Chinese and Japanese. I just like the sensation of learning a new language and using it, it's quite addictive! I've learnt parts of about 40 langs now but I'm only fluent in about 7 or 8. I love languages and learning about geography and culture so this seems to be my life's purpose. Languages make me sooooo happy! 😂

Really cool how you’re learning another language through another language - really cool way to practice both! Now, I have 6 months of doing nothing because my exams were cancelled and I’m trying to continue learning french. I’m an intermediate at french but I just need to perfect it. Have you got any recommendations? Hope you are well and stay safe!
I personally loved the book, 'Improve your French' by Teach Yourself. It really looks at common errors and issues for intermediate learners and deals with them. If you can find it, French in 3 months part 2 does the same. Really helped me move from GCSE to A Level and beyond with my French 👍🏻
