      Forgiveness is an act of kindness towards self, my abusers can’t come back until they are ready to reconcile, reconciliation requires accountability for one’s own actions and that is something they’re not capable of doing because they don’t have a repentant heart, we are commanded to forgive not reconcile.

      “Repentance is change of action”- Narcissists don’t understand this concept. If they’re seeking forgiveness, they should change their actions. If they’re not repenting, what’s there to forgive?
      Now, we can forgive on our end, but we don’t have to forget. If they don’t repent; if they don’t change their actions, then we can hold our boundaries and set up new boundaries to protect ourselves.
      God doesn’t require anyone to remain under oppression. It’s our God-given right to remove ourselves from oppression. And narcissistic abuse is one type of oppression.

      BuT if there is no repentance, it must be on you solely to forgive them. The forgiveness they want won’t ever be reached anyhow, so you have to break off to the side, and learn what forgiveness truly looks like, & then do it…bc God forgave us.
      They won’t ever repent, so your future can’t ride on what they do. It’s what they want anyhow, bc if you don’t actually forgive them, then God will hold you truly accountable. And to some extent, from my experience, I’ve learned that I have an enemy in my narcissist. He truly made me his enemy, and has treated me as such, like I’m a sibling rival. It’s sad and sick. But that’s why I say YOU have to control the forgiveness YOU give. ✌🏼🩶🇺🇸

    Yes, yes, yes! I’m SO glad someone else has pointed out the last “twisted scripture,” the “Honor thy father and thy mother.” That is the most misused of them all. In fact, they may have the “honor thy father and mother part down” (or think they do), but they do not read the line that comes AFTER that verse, which is “Do not provoke thy children to anger.”

      Respond back to her, “Takes one to know one.” The difference is which sinners have repented and surrendered to Christ Jesus?
      Also, Jesus tells believers to judge among believers and test the spirits. We absolutely are taught and commanded to deal with sin within the Church(Body of Believers). How else can one be cast out of the Church if they refuse to repent? This is a lie from Satan that silences many believers. We are not to condemn another but we most certainly should be aware of what spirit is operating in them. Some will be restored to the Lord or else, at least, they are no longer being allowed into fellowship to spread their evil. A little leaven spoils the loaf.

But he never would have let me convince him from anything that would have lead in repentence. No way! Instead he ghosted me every time he ran out of arguments. While I waited for him to return for talking about our issues and prayed for guidance and wisdom, he came back saying nothing pretending nothing had happened. It is useless discussing. You can't reach out to their twisted mind. You can't encounter a sick attitude in a healthy way of discussion. Just God can convince and heal them. Everything else is throwing pearls to the pigs. In Mark 3: 35 Jesus says “ for whoever does the will of God is my brother, sister, and mother”. In Mathew 10:36 Jesus states “ a man’s enemies will be members of his own household”. Narcissists, who are people of the lie and creatures of chaos, do Satan’s bidding in order to keep others from their God given destiny by engineering perpetual turmoil. Focus on Jesus and not on the storm and pray like your life depends on it because it does. God absolutely will carry you through and bring you out from under their controlling influence and the narcissist will become ensnared in the traps they set out for others. Have faith, do not despair, believe and it will be done, for we worship a mighty and just God who detests evil. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future”.

      But being able to detect the lies is only 1/2 of the battle. The other 1/2 is understanding how to respond to these lies. In this, the most effective scripture is “Answer not a fool, according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool, according to his folly lest he be wise in his own eyes.” Prov 26:4-5
      It takes great discernment to be able to do this effectively, and to know when to apply the answering of the fool in this case, the narcissist, and when not to answer the narcissist in their continuous and never ending lies.

    No one expects to discover they were deceived into a marriage by a wolf disguised in sheep's clothing. To discover that is what has in fact occurred, is incredibly traumatising on so many levels. Unfortunately, there are some denominations that totally rely on these exact twists of scripture, in order to keep women and children in bondage to manipulative abusers, because it suits those in power within those very churches to keep it that way. THANK YOU for posting this video.

    Oh my goodness! He used number 3 every day! Claiming that it was written in that specific order so that the man cannot honour the woman until she submits to him. She must submit first before he will show her respect or honour! This in conjunction with women being the weaker/lesser vessel, the clone, that through which sin entered the world. That being said, I did submit and he still didn't respect me. So glad to be out of that! Thank you so much for this video, I wasn't crazy!

    • @preacherbarbie
      @preacherbarbie 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Bless you sister. Women aren't clones, we literally were taken out of Adam's body-"So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." (Genesis 1:27). Also, "So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
      The man said,
      “This is now bone of my bones
      and flesh of my flesh;
      she shall be called ‘woman,’
      for she was taken out of man.”
      (Genesis 2:21-23).
      Another thing, sin entered the world through one MAN, Adam, not a woman. Eve was deceived but Adam commited high Treason against The Lord-"Because of this, just as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, because all sinned." ( Roman's 5:12).
      Remember, we are all supposed to be ONE in Christ Jesus, where there are no males that are better than women." There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28). Some men want to use your gender against you (which is an offense to the God who made you) and
      submit to them the way they perceive what submit means from their spirit of control lense. Our first priority is to submit to God before man, even ones own husband. 🙏

      Paul’s epistles list numerous acceptable reasons for divorce. If a believer is engaged in ongoing unrepentant sin of any kind then you may treat them as an unbeliever. If you married to an unbeliever you are allowed to divorce them and remarry. Therefore, if your spouse is engaged in ongoing unrepentant sin against you then you can treat them like an unbeliever. You can divorce them and, if you choose, remarry.
      “God hates divorce.” Is not the only relevant scripture.

    Understanding Narcissism
    A narcissist lives in a fantasy world where he is a king in his court of slaves. He is superior and in control of them. So, any nonsubmission, disobedience, inattention, opposition, criticism, competition, defeat, disrespect, or even trying to be an equal is not tolerated and he will react with “narcissistic rage”.
    The Narcissist’s true self is broken and disgusting, and he sees this. This causes him intolerable shame and pain when he thinks of it or if others recognize it. This makes him chronically miserable, and envious of other “normal” people. This second false self of a king is a fake one he invented to mask the true one and stop the pain and shame. Its characteristics are the opposite of what he sees in his true self. It is omnipotent, great, all-knowing, highly successful, beautiful, unique, infallible, enviable, indispensable to others, in control, and charming. This second self is so fragile because it is fake. And he is willing to do anything even murder to hide the true self and show the other false one.
    Narcissistic supply is the continuous supply he needs from people to prop up this fake image and numb his pain. He needs it to prove to himself and to others that this second false self is real and to hide the true one. Every situation for him is a struggle to get this supply.
    Having a slave provides him with narcissistic supply. It is in his own interest that you become isolated, weak, afraid, dependent, inferior, broken, and a failure so that you conform to the role of a slave to the king. So, he studies you and then manipulates you to trap and destroy you to conform to that role. To do so he uses isolation, intimidation, gas lighting, Scapegoating, idealization (love bombing)/devaluation/discard cycles, criticism, projection, displacement, physical abuse, humiliation, lying, insults, judging, boundary violation, bragging, smearing, triangulation or giving you the silent treatment. In his eyes you are not a human with feelings, dignity and rights; you are just a source of supply. He lacks any empathy towards you.
    Imagine a hot air balloon on which an image of a king is drawn with an ugly deformed monkey hiding inside the balloon. It needs continuous inflation, which your job in life is to provide, or what’s inside would be seen.

    The verses pertaining to forgiveness in the Bible have a caveat everyone seems to miss: the offender MUST REPENT first!!!!! IF the offender does not repent of their offense against you, then you owe them NO forgiveness. Universal blanket forgiveness is not even offered by God. Scripture is also clear that we are to judge one another according to the commandments; Lawless churches do not honor this.

    I became a widow 4 years ago my husband and I were unable to have children. It has been shocking to me how many people have come out of the woodwork wanting a variety of things from me to serve their desires or needs because I have no husband or children. And using scripture to validate their request. The most frequent one is concerning money to sell all that I have- my home and my possessions and give it to the poor, of course they are the poor that they are talking about. When I asked what they thought I should do if I became penniless their reply has been they have a shed in the backyard without any electricity or running water that I could live in or some more generous- a back bedroom I could live in. Of course I laughed at such an idea . Out of sarcasm I felt like answering them that would be too good for me, don't they have a dog run I can live in but of course as a Christian I did not respond that way. Money hasn't been the only issue, some of them have been about ways in which they can fill my day being their personal assistant taking care of responsibilities for them. Again the scripture be a servant to all. I am very grateful to the Holy Spirit for giving me an answer to these people, and that is - I will ask the Lord if this is something I should do or not. And I do ask the Lord, most of the time I hear no this is a yoke they are putting on you not something I am asking of you. Some of the time I am to serve and I do it willing but with healthy boundaries.

My self-righteous christian husband (who by-the-way says preachers are wrong to devalue the older brother of the Prodigal son, because the older brother had a right to be angry - because the older brother has done everything right) would choose a Bible verse for our daily devotions and point his finger at my nose telling me how I am not up-to-standard on this and better improve. He would do this in front of our children. It took maybe 30 years before I put a stop to this in our daily Bible devotions. Yes, I know, I am a slow learner. But then I came from a narcissistic physically, verbally and emotionally abusive childhood home to just a verbally and emotionally abusive home. I thought I did better. My concern is how it has affected my three children.

Instead, ask Jesus to heal your memories of those evil comments and replace them with Godly things. And you please pray for your husband, especially when he says things you know are untrue about you. Learn the Hail Mary if you don't already know it. She is our spiritual mother, given to us all as Jesus was dying on the cross for all our salvation. Ask her to give him the Grace to change his ways and you to have the continuing Graces of strength and patience while she works to soften his heart. Mary is a miracle worker ... my formerly verbally abusive alcoholic husband of over 30 years is making astounding changes! I had set aside my Cradle Catholic roots to be with him and endured decades of this type of abuses (and learned to dish out some pretty awful stuff myself in misguided self defense!) But I finally was given the Grace to stand up for myself and put God first. And started praying for his conversion ... a 54 Day Novena. Along about day 52, he suddenly announced that he thought we should have a statue of Mary beside the tiny pond in the middle of our circle driveway!! You have to understand how crazy that statement was ... we're old/junk car collectors in a rural area with no real lawn and certainly no statues. We have dogs and poultry and cars! But you better believe I wasted no time helping him find a statue and there she stands, a visual reminder of her spiritually watching over his progress!!! He had given up alcohol over a year before and truly is becoming a better person daily. He also was willing to Convalidate our civil marriage in the eyes of the Catholic Church. And a few months later, thanks to Father Staples (yes, Tim Staples brother) meeting with him privately for weekly for months to Catachise him, my husband came into the Catholic Church in May of 2023! The narcissist living amongst the 6 of us can quote the Bible, chapter and verse, says she is "saved" and quotes whatever passage she thinks will prove she is indeedcsaved and l, her most common target, am goingcto hell because l don't read the Bible. I actually had 3 bibles burn in a fire that burned down my house and even twistedvmy piano into a mess. Unfortunately for her, l think actions speak louder than words. My actions of generosity, caring about others wishes, and trying to fulfill their requests sounds more Christian than being able to recite the Bible if your narcissistic actons ignore the wishes of others by having to be right. I am comfortable with myself, and l wouldvNOT be comfortable in her skin. Period. Shevis going through a trying time, and tgecpoir me is getting repulsive when she decidedcl had chicken in my dinner and she said shevhad none and demanded l givevher my dinner. I said a decisive "NO"! She didn't take it well, and called the owner, crying. The owner told me to give her my dinner. I said "NO"! Had she politely said "l think you have more chicken than l do and l would like more, would you trade? I would have said sure. But l was ordered to givevher my dinner. I don't take orders from her, l know ahevis a paranoid, bellicose narcissist who has hit me in the past, despite the fact thatvl am 80 and she is 14 years younger than l am. She is still upset, and she will continue to be because l told her bluntly quite a while ago "l knowvwho and what you are, so leave me alone. Quote the Bible from memory to try and prove you are "saved", but l believe actions speak louder than words, and there is an inconsistency between your actions and your biblical quotes. I meant it. And whenbshebhas any stress, she says "l gavevitvup to God and He will handle it", she also becomes more bellicose, combative verbally and pgysically. I told her if shevhit me 1 more time, l was filing assault and battery charges. She cries to the owner. I have had it with that because she missed her calling. She is a terrific actress who lies out of both sides of her mouth at the same time. I am planning to be unavailable until she gets over tge current crisis.

    People are using scripture, twisting it to suit their needs their wants. This is so good! In so many avenues of our life this happens, Narcs are everywhere! Once you see it, you can't unsee it. Literally surrounded. I'm just now starting to understand why Jesus will say depart from me I never knew you. I didn't understand how it could be possible. But never thought about it, that Satan tried to pull that with Jesus.

    I find that narcissistic spouses also use #4 to beat you over the head with if you try to draw a boundary to protect yourself from their toxic family.
    Ex 1 - He told us about their 50th anniversary party 30 minutes before he was set to leave and asked us to come. Drop everything you have planned for the whole weekend and come on a moment's notice, because it's FAMILY and it's my father and mother and we have to honor them. Ignoring a boundary I'd already drawn around that relationship, and after a night out drinking with his buddies until 2 am leaving us no note and answering no one's texts, including his kids'.
    Ex 2 - His family participated in an attempt to use psychiatric authorities to bully me into doing what he wants. I drew a boundary saying that they are welcome back here only when they apologize for their part in it and commit to respect me as a person, as their grandchildren's mother, and any boundaries I set. Now...I don't know what he told them....he may have communicated something entirely different (probably has, truth is not one of his usual things). BUT, no go. I don't really expect an apology or a change, because these people can do no wrong in their own eyes (and as a corollary, I can do no right). However, he bangs me over the head all the time that I'm not honoring them. Well...goes both ways. And mine isn't blatant disrespect, it's a boundary. One they don't like.
    Anyhow...just thought I'd point out how else this scripture gets used.

    My mom used the submit to each other verse on my dad all the time and never acknowledged the submit to your husband. She also isolated him using the man should leave his family upon marriage and keep only to her. Mind you these are not the proper scriptures but the versions she used. She also used reactive abuse to play the victim and then forgive us our trespasses.
    My grandfather told be that the devil will redefine words and means for his own means.
    His example was “Happy wife Happy life”
    The corrupt meaning is that it is a husbands job to make his wife happy. That is impossible as happiness is a choice. He told me that instead I should find a wife who was herself happy and that that would bring a happy life.

Then proceeds to tell me what I meant about anything I have said and it is always the complete opposite of what I said or meant. It is usually to try and prove to my older daughter, I have said something against her. I isolate myself from everyone. Because, if I dare let my guard down and think she is being nice...oh my gosh! I pay, royally. Like being told, I didn't ask you about your Thanksgiving because I knew you wouldn't have any plans or dinner. I think that scripture is for a couple who both love each other. The man who loves his wife would never demand sex. Evil ungodly men have been known to demand sex even when the wife has a torturing migraine headache. And he will enjoy making her suffer even more. Evil men will demand sex at the most inappropriate times. That is not love.

      There seems to be an odd blind spot regarding female narcissistic wives. There is far too little info out there and far too many men who, in their arrogance, assume that because the man is the leader that when his followers aren't following, he is the problem.
      Of course they forget that God is the ultimate leader and yet Israel failed to follow Him many a time....never once being his fault. Wives are as likely to be bad at submitting to their husbands as husbands are to be bad at loving their wives.
      Wives use their free will to choose to submit to their husbands and husbands sacrifice their own personal gain for the betterment of their family where necessary. Wives follow God ultimately, but God says to follow their husbands. So if a husband is not being ungodly, then wives are to submit. And yes, that does mean if their husband wants to paint the wall green and the wife blue, the wife accepts that the wall will be green!
      Because, who knows, maybe one day that husband will have to die to keep his wife and children alive and the green wall ensures his sacrifice didn't go to waste...who knows, the husband gets the final say (so long as he isn't choosing sin).

    But I did it because she always wanted me to submit to her, and she never wanted to submit to me 😕.

    She would love to tell me to love her just as Jesus loved the church, just to get her way with me 😕.

    • @mpclepto182
      @mpclepto182 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wives who are disobedient to the Lord like to imagine that "submission" is mutual. But the relationship is that of Christ to the Church.
      Christ sacrificed Himself for the church, but He didn't submit his authority. The Church submits their entire will to Christ. It's not like you or I as a Christian gets to tell Jesus what to do!
      A submissive wife, as is biblically accurate, submits her will to her husband AND Christ. Meaning, she doesn't fight her husband's decisions. Sure, they have a discussion and she airs her concerns, but there's no bickering about it. Unless her husband is asking her to do something sinful (against God), she needs to accept it. If she doesn't like the arraignment of the authoritative household structure, then she shouldn't have gotten married and she should take her grievances up with God Himself as it is by His design that the husband is the head of the wife!
