Tramaine - 'I' feat. Alex Argento

  • Hey everyone! Here's the playthrough pf 'I', the second track from my latest album 'Astrian Trek'. This track features an INCREDIBLE guest solo from Alex Argento on keyboards, who also mixed, altered and co-produced this album , as well as my first album 'Heavy Balance'.
    As I'm sure you have noticed, this video also showcases the Enya NEXG acoustic guitar, which is an awesome bit of kit in its own right, which I will further explain in a later video. Please wait for that video before making any decisions about purchasing this guitar: the guitar isn't a bad buy at all, in fact it is excellent, but there are things to consider which I will explain in my next video.
    Anyway, thanks again for dropping by and I hope you enjoy the performance!
    Tramaine \m/

    Hate hearing a great track where it just sounds like scale runs, as if there has been no thought given to it. But this is def. not that at all. Melodies are as great as the overall feel of the track. Even the keys solo is sick. Great job!
    Also how do you get your tone to sound almost synth-like? It kind has a phaser quality to it, or like a wah is sitting on 85%. I dunno but it sounds super buttery. Love it.

    • @Tramaineguitar
      @Tramaineguitar  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks 🙏🏼 for the chorus section, I’m using an effect I use quite a lot which is basically auto-wah, with auto-tune and an octaver to thicken it up a bit. But everything else is my usual ‘go-to’ tone which is from LivePlayRock, the Marco Sfogli Kemper pack 👍🏼

    Hello! Amazing melody and phrasing, rhythm and intonation! You are one of my favorite guitarists at the moment! I listen to your compositions even in the gym when I do strength training. Answer just one question, how did you develop your melodic ear and how did you learn to compose music like that? Give advice on how to develop composer thinking?

      @Tramaineguitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you 🙏🏼 I think just practicing as much as you can is the best way. For me, my brain doesn’t give me a choice, it’s always composing or trying out ideas all day, every day, without any breaks lol so I’ve had a lot of practice with it 🤘🏼

      @@Tramaineguitar What musicians are you inspired by, what influenced your style? After all, it's no secret that you can't just take and compose an interesting and original composition, you need a lot of knowledge and experience. Who do you listen to and who is your favorite artist? How much do you select by ear and, as far as I can see, you select the parts of not only guitarists, but also keyboardists?

    • @Tramaineguitar
      @Tramaineguitar  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@---qn7qw it’d be difficult to name every musician that has inspired me, but I think there is an artist in every genre that has had a profound effect on me. Numerous artists in the pop genre, mainly Michael Jackson, Mr Mister, Toto, Tears for Fears. Then in the metal and rock genres mainly Iron Maiden, CoB, Firewind, Scar Symmetry, and dozens more. Even classical and baroque composers like Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Debussy, Tchaikovsky, Paganini, and dozens more have all ‘changed my life’ when I discovered particular things.
      But the list is very extensive, and my taste seems to be endless! I don’t think there is a genre I dislike. Yesterday I found myself listening to Opera, mainly male countertenor from Mozart’s opera stuff which I’d not discovered yet, but binged on that all night 😅
      I suggest always being on the lookout for music that excites you. I think the more expansive you can be with your musical tastes and being eager to discover as much as you can, the more original you can be, as it supplies your imagination well. 🙏🏼
