Round the whole Midlands (not far from Worcester) it's pronounce Wuster, the same as we'd pronounce the town Worcester. The 'shire' at the end is silent.

Pro tip for when cutting up veggies - save all of your scraps (celery ends, onion ends & skins, carrot ends etc) and put them into a big ziplock in the freezer. Then once you have a full bag, make some homemade bone broth with leftover turkey or chicken bones! SO GOOD for you and perfect for adding to soups etc this winter!

My mom passed in June after cancer complications and then my only sister left and moved across the country and I'm really trying to fake it but on the inside am a sad potato. More often than not I'm trying to force myself to eat but I have the sweetest girls that are 8 and 9 and the beat goes on, you know? My neighbor across the street is Italian, and she said real Italians mix ricotta and cottage cheese to make it more creamy

I’m not going to complain about the cottage cheese because it’s my preference too. I have found a recipe for meatloaf that uses ricotta cheese and love it. Had never bought it before then.
    1lb ground beef
    8 oz ricotta
    1/4 c of French’s Fried Onions, crumbled
    1 meatloaf seasoning packet
Mix well and shape into 4 individual loaves. Top each loaf with a slice of Swiss cheese. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, top with a sprinkle of the dried onions and serve with sides of your choice. For a healthy side, mix some drained peas and sliced red bell pepper together with a sprinkle of seasoning salt and put on the baking pan with the meatloaves.

No cottage cheese in lasagna for me, it has to be bechamel sauce with some parmesan or other cheese in it. Ricotta works only in spinach ricotta lasagna
