I Live in Belgium and the only time I remember police was in school (I didn't saw anything but it was wildly spoken about on the play ground) was when one kid was busted selling drugs at school. But that was literally the only interaction with the police at school in my entire education, from kindergarden to master degree.

Do not you have there such educational things like traffic rules or so? We have some small traffic playground in one school, where we went for such class and some police staff came to say/show/teach us something - but it could not be taken into account, because it for preschoolers (but for sure we had some classes with police involved in primary school)
(that is quite crowded area and there is like 5schools and 4 nurseries in 3km range and they share that playground)

The Americans overwhelmingly decided that they do not want any of these "liberal, progressive, socialist" benefits, though we, in the modern West, view them as something that is absolutely normal. They are not seen as something leftist or right wing. They are simply what we pay our taxes for.

    • @Rudi_Wolff
      @Rudi_Wolff หลายเดือนก่อน

      🤣 you're one of those..
Liberals did not made those benefits + liberalism and socialism don't go together.
Liberals put themselves first - everyone must fend for themselves, where in socialism 'fair sharing' (solidarity) counts for a lot.
If it had been up to the liberals the ethnic division would even be more worse than it already is.
For your information.. the KKK was also a leftist organisation.

Most dutch people only fly the flag for special occasions. If they do at all. Things like weddings, funerals, graduation and royal birthdays.
If it's a graduation the custom is to fly the flag and your school bag.
For royal brthdays the flag is accompanied by an orange pennant. Those of you who watch this channel regularly will know why.

I've said it in Itzsky video aswell CHarlie: the fact that you can be fired at anytime is just modern day slavery. that's just not right man. Whilst I always have looked up to the Americans, (as people, and I still do) largely because of their second world war efforts in Europe (still grateful!!!) I do think you have a archaic society when it comes to rights. Rights seem to be determined by businesses. But any government should loko after their people. All this nonsense of 'if you work hard, you'll get there' but what if I work hard and I'm not getting there? It's just a load of tosh man. People are entitled to have a good life, if you are willing to work that is. At the end of the day, these people will spend and that is good for any economy. Anyway, I'm just not so in love with the US of A anymore. Still love the people though.

Video's like this make me realise how lucky we are. Schools are 'child friendly' teaching methods are constantly revieuwed Some have a small playground , a vegetable garden , even a school dog, to help children overcome a problem or encourage them to do things they don't like. (A dog doesn't judge a bad reader ) There is maternity leave and paternity leave, if you have young children, There is a law for minimum wages.and payed holidays A cashier doesn't get a chair? Here they give them an ergonomic chair , so they can work better I always wonder about those flags in the US Do you have to remind people they are in America? Not mentioned here but the patriots, in the land of the free. So proud it's almost ridiculous What do you gain from being a patriot??

I can just walk in, as the concierge where to put it, or if they have a cart I can use.. no metal detectors.. Looked up Warsaw Indiana highschool and I went to a similar big school in the Netherlands with several wings, but there was a lot more space and greenery between them making it feel spacious and inviting. Another great detail (in hindsight) was how almost every classroom had windows to the south-east, allowing sunlight to come in during the morning/afternoon.

in Denmark we also have a lot of flags, we do love our flags and some people find it weird , you wont see flags outside private homes for the most part though , you see them when people have a flag pole in their garden usually that is in their summer house but some farms also have it, if so it's normal to have the flag up most days , put it up in the morning and take it down when the sun goes down, as you don't want to salute darkness, you also see flags on some public buildings , and if there is a celebration some people put flags in front of their houses , it's on birthday cakes, the Christmas tree ,it's really a sign of joy and celebration to us , it always make me happy to see our flag because we also use it for celebration, but we don't pledge a legion to the flag

In Denmark you have laws around flags, in The Netherlands you don't. In Denmark you are not allowed to flag another countries flag without official permission. In The Netherlands you are allowed to do it.
Danish people are proud of their traditions (like the flags on birthdays which are sold in even the smallest supermarkets and being baptist without being religious. But they are interested in other cultures and I never found they thought they are better, just different and they like their way of doing things and don't like it when outsiders want to change it.
The way Danish people think of their flag is completely different than the American way.

So people Who get sick, come to work for fear of being fired and then more people get sick... How the hell is that good bussiness practice? I'm from Slovenia and my coworker had a stroke, He's on sick leave since the end of 2022, so it is gonna be 2 years this December. I don't think He is ever coming back to work. And no He is not fired. He is still employed and His sick days are payed. For those who wonder how can the company sustain that kind of policy long term. The employer only needs to pay up for the first 20 days of sick days. Affter that the universal health insurance takes over (ZZZS) and they reimburse You for losing working days. You get anything betwen 80-100% of Your basic paycheck depending on Your sickness/injury...

Do you also make so much food at home or is just when you eat in a restaurant. Another weird thing in America is going out to buy coffee on your own. we do go out for coffee to meet up with a friend but not to buy it almost every day at a coffee corner or a drive trough.
Don`t you guys now how to make coffee at home, it`s so much easier than getting in your car in the morning driving in the cold weather waiting in line to get just a cup of coffee.

Standing in front of the flag and singing the national anthem is something I had to do every week when I was in elementary school in The Kingdom of The Netherlands. On one of the islands in the Caribbean. So it is not that weird. I thought, even when I was 6 that it was just stupid. Even at that age I could not understand why a lot of people think that your country is better than another country (nationalism) and that people fell for this cheap, indoctrinating trick. It was fascinating to me. I would not put my hand on my heart and sing just look around how many people were just sheep in a herd. Same with the daily pray. I just kept my mouth shut and looked around how many people just automatically assumed that the idea of a god was true. There was so much stupidity in the bible that I could not believe somebody would fall for it, but here I was, surrounded with people who fell for it. It is still fascinating to me and just weird.
So not everybody just do it because everybody else is doing it. 😊

While the Netherlands is very small, its amazingly divers across the provinces.

If you see it for what it IS then there is nothing weird about living in a fascist society like the US. Almost everything could be done way better but social behavior and actions are words and sometimes a bit of reasonable intentions but that's IT! 😎
