This was so helpful. I’ve been off the count recently at home and I think I figured out why because of this video. I’ve been double counting the dealers up card. Whenever I look away I’ll forget I counted that and I’ll recount it, making me off on the running count. Thanks again!

@SameDayPlumbingLLC I'm playing basic strategy. If there is a deviation based on the count you might have to do that on your own.

I have gotten the count exactly right with a few days of practice! I'll go try it out at my local casino here in the coming week, so from my understanding I just bet more when the count is +4 or more?

So a positive count you bet higher and negative you bet lower?
Yes, you don’t really want to up your bet until the count is +2 or higher to be honest

This was great for practice. I would love to see a few more shoes in like a part 2, part3 ect.. so we can watch those on shuffle and keep practicing
What kind of shuffle? One riffle with 7 strips?

Takes all focus to keep the count and was off by one a single time. Hour 4 out of an estimated 200 to be good at blackjack complete!!

I really like your videos. I have been working over the past 6 months to improve my game from just basic strategy to adding counting and deviations. Would love to see videos on betting strategy and other counting systems like RED 7 which I am currently using. Saves me from having to do TC / deck estimations..
When you say betting strategy, are you talking like bet spreads? Or what do you mean there?
@@A1-BJ Correct... Bet spreads correct. I try to run a 1 to 12 bet spread on $10 & $15 dollar tables ramping up from min bet on counts of 0 to negative and doubling my min bet everytime TC climbs by one. I will switch to two spots when the TC climbs to above 6 and then bet 75% of my max bet for that TC. Once you get counting down and deviations.. I think bet spreads and table conditions have to be up there as the nex thing to hit. When I play 2 deck $25.00/min I usually run a a 1 to 8 spread.

what is ur strategy to count? do you count as the hand goes on or when everyone has a card and count by two?
@@adamb3629 when everyone has both cards u can flash count and cancel out hi-lo card. For example 10 and a 5 cancels out while 2 10’s and someone else has a 6 and a 5 cancels out
As a counter you're looking for a HIGH count correct? How do you confidently win when it seems majority of the time the shoes go deep into the negatives before equaling out? I rarely ever see the count get high...
Gotta sit through many low count decks sometimes, never raising your bet. It’s all about taking advantage of the high count when it

i wanted to know how could you define the true count at the start of the game like when you join a mid session at the casino how could define the running count
You do what's called back-counting. Meaning that you start counting at the shuffle, bit don't just in until a positive count that you have predetermined. Now if you get there and they are in the middle of the shoe, you'll have to wait until the shuffle.
Next time whenever you deal cards to the player, please place the second card in such a way that the top-right side of the card can also be seen.
I've seen a lot in which the 6's and 9's are mistaken with each other because they only seen the bottom-left side of the card. Most dealers are like this at it's a bad practice to deal this way.

I keep getting the count wrong. Idk what I’m doing wrong😅 I think maybe its the aces that are getting me cuz I just count them as zero and I think apparently that’s incorrect

good morning , first of all i would like to appreciate your efforts, i have one doubt from many days , lets make with one example , lets say i am in blackjack table right now, i need to start my game from round one, but before there is another guy who have been playing before me, he has different running count and i have different running count, because when i start the game my running count starts from 0, which might be different than another card counter thats who is alredy playing from a while, so that criteria really effects my game?
You must start counting right after the shuffel.shuffle. if you start in the middle your count is meaningless, so stand behind and wait for the shuffel. Better yet, Wong in at a true count of +1, where the advantage switches to us.
That was a good video for basic strategy but it didn't show an increase in bets for a plus count; true count. I did enjoy it though

I know how to count cards and play basic strategies. But i can never do them both at the same time for more then a round or two. Any advise other then just more practice?

Hey just a question. Im just getting into learning the hardcore mathematics behind good strategy. So lets say your count is running like it was earlier at -12 at 3.5 decks, would you simply want to adjust your play to account for the fact that the true count is down to like -3 or 4 and therefore would that violate the logic of basic strategy? I can understand the purpose of the running count denoting higher odds for the house if its in the negative im just trying to parse out where i should deviate from basic strat if the count gets too low for comfort, like if its way less likely i get a face card. Is that case by case or are there formulas for this? Thx for vids
So just like there are deviations for high counts, there are also deviations for low counts. However, if the count drops below a true 1, I would get up and leave that table. @@A1-BJ tysm! I will take the advice to leave at anything below true count one into account, ty. I am getting into the weeds on this. I have never bet real money before, rly I've only played practice poker with varying degrees of success, and I intend to learn blackjack strategy as well before I start playing it for real. I like this game a little bit better because it's more intensive on the math. I'm 22 and just learning this stuff so it's a little hard to wrap my head around, but i really want to put in some hard-core practice for about a month or so then get out to Atlantic city and see if I can make some magic happen lol. @hyponomeone that sounds, great, but as I tell most people. It takes a lot of practice, probably more than a month, closer to 6. So don't go before you are ready.
@@A1-BJ that's sound advice. I've got a lot of stuff going on at once so a few hours daily sounds like alright practice. I'd imagine it takes a lot to memorize and get it perfected. Well worth it though, in my opinion. I just subscribed, cheers!
