Linda Gray was by no means the best actor on the show. But she wasn't the worst. Barbara Bell, Ken Kercheval, Hagman and Kanaly were all much better actors. Linda Gray had her toolbox of things that made the character unique but nothing original and nothing groundbreaking. Quivering lips goes back to the 40s and 50s actress. Gray was better than Victoria, and Charlene.
I never understood Sue Ellen's desperation for Jamie's approval and friendship. She wasn't a nice person or even an interesting person. She had a short temper and didn't appreciate anything the Ewings did for her. They gave her a home, a car, a job, nice clothes, and a family. I loathed the character.
I think it was more so Sue Ellen needed friends, she also didn’t have much of a life. Also I feel like she was trying to be like Miss Ellie and more inviting. In the beginning Sue Ellen didn’t care or like anyone especially Pamela coming to Southfork. I think this was her way of trying to be a nicer person.
You describe love as being given things - car, roof, money- all things one can work for and attain for themselves. Jamie may have had flaws but staying with a cheater is lowest of all existences. If you stay with the charade your saying your soul has a price. Dignity is what God gave you and allowing another to rule you by giving you Things is corrupt to one’s soul. Sue Ellen here is finally growing up, sober and the most valuable trait in life is to live with integrity. The truth matters ,ore than any thing else and Sue Ellen is finally living with Truth. These silly shows still underline the need of every human being to live truthfully.
By this time I believe her life had improved without the love of jr reviving her helping her through not that she tried too fulfill miss Ellie shoes.@@a.b.s_productions
Alan jobe you're dead wrong she was always appreciated 👍 is why they took her as part of the family for all those years having dealt with jr abuse and reluctant behavior against her well being.
@@claudecrosatto7599 vous avez raison. Elle était si élégante, bien habillée et attirante, pleine de sophistication et classe. Princesse Diana une autre
The most dreadful ham acting , risible story lines , atrocious , and inelegant clothes , ridiculous men and women - all a real tribute to the vulgarity of uneducated people with new money they don’t know how to use because they do t know how to behave and conduct themselves and YET , so very compellingly amusing ! IMO
I still love these episodes.
Me too. Especially the Travilla years. !!
Tubi has all 14 seasons of dallas in season 1 right now😊
Linda Gray was and and still is highly attractive and stylish. The epitome of elegance and class. Few women these days have it, she had it in spades.
Sue Ellen had the best character development in the series. Loved Linda Gray in that role - stunning and beautiful ❤❤ !!
She cried heaven and earth until her final blow she took charge of her life.
You should read her autobiography! Just finished it. It’s a great read!
Linda Gray was the best actor on the show.
Yes 👍 and a sharp dresser with a fine mind to speak.

THAT IS IT! SUE ELLEN DEGENROUS! 😂 YAWL! GOT ME HOWLIN!😂
Well that convo with Jamie went South fast. 😂
I don't know how I went all through my life, 40 plus years of being a Dallas fan, and not see how obvious it was that Hagman wore a rug.
A rug where as a toupee or what?
@@robertscott8344huh? Yes, a rug is a slang term for a toupee.
You have best eyes ever I can not tell you cares anyway great show .
Jamie was Dallas version of dynasty Sammie jo reese.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Except less fun
Jamie, talking about Morals. When she married Cliff Barnes.
She give Sue Ellen a good morality check she persuaded her that jr is the reason she can't do any better.
I remember Jamie on Threes Company
These were very well crafted series from Dalla, Denver clan next should be Houston😊
No one else could play her role as Sue Helen so strong here
With such conviction and religion as what she stood for in the test of time.
what a GREAT scene! great music too!

@@a.b.s_productionsyes 💯🤚 and Pam coming to South fork ruined her chances of becoming the next Ewing family matriarch since she was there first.
You go Girl!!!!
Good heavens, when the waitress appeared on screen, I gasped. Now THAT is a choice.
jr rubbed off on sue ellen.
"Money and A job. " ?? isnt this a soap opera ?? 😂😂
