canonically. the only character from this series that cannot die is Heimer, cause the whole yordles thing. But I truly think considering that the studio already said this arc of LoL shows is done, that Jinx is got the finale she wanted without Ekko intervening
Jayce and Viktor are literal soulmates, here and in every timeline. I don't care if it's platonic or romantic, but their final scene was so intimate and full of love and just so incredibly beautiful
@@Ssecave I feel its as whatever you interpreted it to be, they gave so much hint at romantic essence but then the same with platonic. Its just depends how the viewer sees it. I feel them leaving there relationship unknown and open whether it ended platonic or more than that is honestly better than confirming something. Either way they are soulmates and their story ended beautifully.
Maddie is smiling in the impact frame because Mel is a empath mage. It’s why she was unconsciously such a good manipulator. Mel saw what Maddie was truly feeling right in that moment. She was smiling on the inside. Crazy detail to add, but wonderful once you notice it!
I think that frame sort of solidifies (for me) that Maddie wasn't an initial plant and instead grew highly dissatisfied by Caitlyn treating it like a rebound - which created a void that... Ambessa filled (as she did with Caitylin when Vi left). For me, the "Hazards of Professional Entanglements" wasn't a warning that you might get into bed with a spy... but that personal feelings will eventually overcome professional duties and (in this case) national loyalties. Spite makes people do some horrible things
@@USful Possibly, but also, Noxus is kind of infamous for using spies. In fact, this wouldn't even be the first story with a young woman in Piltover who turns out to be a Noxian spy.
@@USful could see it being either option. The way I see it though is she is spiteful of being thrown aside regardless, so reveling in that fact is bad either way.
Ekko kinda did too, because he got the two things he always wanted to: Jinx redeemed herself, and he saw Zaun and Piltover come together as one. And of course he saved the world
Caitlyn did also. She too, got a happy, scot-free ending with Vi despite how she treated her and the fact that she became a dictator. And she didn't even apologize once.
Caitlyn lost an eye, never avenged her mother, sold her soul to authoritarianism and nearly enabled the destruction of the world as a result. Now she gets to live with all that. That looks like winning, to you?
Interesting note: The reason why this version of the timeline worked, is because the rune that Viktor gave Jayce is the same rune that Ekko was doing experiments with: "Inversions with Jayce's Acceleration rune." If he didn't give Jayce the ability to accelerate, he wouldn't have given ekko the ability to go back in time, and that was the thing that allowed Jayce to get through Viktor's mask.
Doesn't this imply that the reason Jayce could help Viktor wasn't because he was uniquely 'compatible' with Viktor, or 'special' for a lack of a better term in comparison to his multiverse counterparts, but simply because of this one happy accident? I mean, isn't that kind of cheap? That all other Jayces failed because they lost Viktor's rune lottery?
@@Ver_CaeI think Viktor only ever choosing to do this with Jayce is out of his affection. He always only wanted it to be Jayce because he trusted in Jayce's potential, just like Jayce trusts Viktor's potential. The specific rune was needed, yes, but perhaps he could have used others and gotten a solution faster. However, Viktor needed it to be Jayce.
@@ladynoluck Yep. Viktor himself said that only Jayce could have gotten through him and shown him that Viktor (and humanity) are worth love even with all the imperfections because they're making us who we are. And because Viktor believes only Jayce can do it, there is really no chance for anyone else to convince him
@@Ver_Cae the thing is even if Ekko did what he did but Jayce wasn't there to get through Viktor, he wouldn't have decided to destroy the hextech. and you also see how Jayce needed to help him with the rune because it was going out of control. Ekko barely managed to damage his mask and "expose" Viktor's remaining humanity but it was enough for Jayce to take an opening. so yeah, they succeded because Ekko was able to use the rune and give the opening to Jayce but it could have only been Jayce who could have gotten through Viktor. we also don't know if ALL other universes got the same outcome. maybe there were some where Jayce could have gotten through him before it went too far or Viktor didn't have to be fused with hexcore to survive like in this universe. after all, Viktor was confidently saying that only Jayce could have done it, maybe he saw it happening in other universe. but he also wanted to save this one.
Another thing between Jayce and Viktor I found really cool is one of the reasons Jayce can appreciate Viktor's flaws is because he had to go through it himself. He had to crawl up out of the undercity into Piltover with a busted leg.
If I remember Schnees analysis of Victor is that his arc and tragedy revolves around not valueing himself and finding value in what he can provide to the world. Skye valued him, Jayce valued him as a person but he was blind to this. He may or may not have picked up on Skye's perspective after she died but even with Jayce he lost himself.
24:07 Cant BE, period. Viktor was omniscient by that point and knew all possibilities and timelines as he alludes in his speech to Jayce in the future. Ekko was sent to a world with no Hextech, STILL created the anomaly, and brought it back. He created an anomaly that was never supposed to exist which Viktor could not foresee. It was the only way for the time loop to break. Ekko truly is the "boy that shattered time".
For me I saw it that it's only one Victor that "perfected" EVERY timeline which is what caused him to explore different spells for Jace at the beginning of each timeline, this one being the only one that stopped him. I assumed that he sent Ekko and HDinger to that universe TO make that anomoly deliberately, hence why their teleports back to the correct timeline synced up. Victor became omnipresent and every possibility and every timeline was within evil Victors reach because, remember it was the magic that sent them to different timelines, meaning Evil Victor had the capacity to go across timelines too and thus perfecting every timeline, leading him to want to revert it eventually.
Those two frames of Maddie pulling the trigger is a really interesting way to showcase Mel's "empath" powers. She could truly sense Maddie's SINISTER intentions, and gave her some fucking karma
Everyone close to Vi seems to recognize by the end that Vi can't let go of people, literally ever.. its kind of a personality flaw as much as it is a strength, she fights so hard to keep people safe.. because she's /terrified/ of losing them.. Honestly by the end of the series Jinx has become a lot more mature and emotionally strong in a lot of ways than Vi is in my mind That whole last fight and the way Jinx talks to Vi is literally a goodbye "I'm always with you, even if we're worlds apart." She was always going to leave, because as long as she stays she knows that Vi is going to keep protecting her, and when it comes to it that is always going to ruin things for Vi or put her in a complicated position because just like her getting arrested after saving Cait it doesn't matter how much good she does. Vi forgives her, even Cait may have forgiven her, since she literally enabled Vi to break her out of prison, but there are a ton of people who won't, she has killed a ton of people, she blew up half the council, "No amount of good deeds can erase our crimes." People say "then Cait should be jailed too" but.. really? theres a huge difference between what Cait did and literally blowing up at the very least dozens of people, gleefully and without remorse Jinx is my favorite character, but no one would have let her have peace if she had stayed even though she deserved a second chance by the end. I liked the ending, i do think that there could have been a couple of breather episodes between some of the things that happened to show the fallout and kind of let things process more.. it was /alot/ but the whole series to me was amazing.
You're right, what Cait did was different. She should be charged for war crimes against the people of the Undercity. At least Jinx only blew up councilors and enforcers (and Viktor). Caitlyn enacted countless brutalities on average citizens of the undercity. Had people tortured for information. Literal children sent to prison under her rule. Any person with blue hair beaten in the street. The fact that her crimes are never properly addressed at all, is probably the single most glaring flaw in this entire show.
Everything about Vi was very underwhelming and borderline character assassination in episode 8. It was so sad to see her being literally useless and a detrement to the story
you're one of the only people who expressed so much emotion at the first scene - you teared up for the person who was ready to die (unalive herself) multiple times; i appreciate you fam
there are people who actually called that scene cringe and lazy. I was like what the hell are these people on. That was the most epic payoff to ep 7ever
Yeah I was watching other people react to this episode and their reactions to someone very obviously deeply suicidal was really off putting as someone who has been there myself; I had to turn some of them off cause they were just laughing and it was really uncomfortable when you're feeling the gravity of the scene lol
I love that the green guy was the one who lives from all the new characters introduced in Caitlins squad. He's the guy everyone thought would die for sure
Heimerdinger last ep: "Inconceivable! No, I mean it literally cannot work." (or something like that) Viktor (upon seeing Ekko's device): "That device can't be."
As far as I'm concerned, Ekko is the mvp of this show (with the assist from Heimerdinger, of course). He deserved more screentime though. Maybe in one of the other shows set within this universe he'll reappear?
"I grew up knowing I'm less than them, that my place is down there" "If my own family won't help me, I'll find someone who will" "No one's ever believed in me either" etc etc I think that final scene with Jayce and Viktor proves that despite all their grand dreams and lofty ambitions, all most of our characters have really wanted from the very beginning is to find someone who really sees and understands them, who recognizes their worth as human beings and believes in them enough to make them believe in themselves And I think most of them got to experience that before the end, which is beautiful despite all the tragedy
To me, it's the best ending we could get at this point. Now they're probably floating somewhere, theorizing about stuff and having the best time of their not-lives
Undisputed fact that Ekko was the MVP in all of Arcane, The Boy Savior literally saved the world. Also when Arcane Jesus, who's seen it all through time and space looks at your work and goes "no fucking way" ("That device can't be") you know you're the GOAT
@@SaturnG_url Disagree. Forcing a person who wants to end themselves to keep going despite the pain is cruel and selfish. Ekko literally did not respect Jinx's choice, because "HE" wanted her to keep living, not because it was what was best for her or what she wanted. Trying to talk her out of it was fine; reversing time to literally undo her choice was a violation of her freedom of choice.
Jinx actually didn't want to kill ekko (killing him is the opposite of breaking the cycle), she first thought he's not real like the voices but when she realized he is real she tried to explode the bomb away from him by going down.
I legit never comment anything on youtube. I feel like i have to now. I love watching reactions, always been amazed by them, see if people are as excited as i am when watching something. And watching you tear up while watching scenes that arent even that emotional but are just cinematically so great and epic, has made me tear up again. Thats EXACTLY how i sat infront of my TV, EXACTLY how i watch my favorite movie, tearing up at moments i just deeply enjoy and love. I always thought who the fk am i (not in a negative way, more like a joke on myself), a grown ass man tearing up on random scenes of a movie or series. But seeing you live the same emotions that i did, just made my day. Thanks for the reaction, the video, the work. I really loved it. Keep it up my guy.
As someone who is fully onboard the Ekko/Jynx ship, I love the little details the two have in terms of sharing graffiti in the final battle. The Firelights/Ekko’s symbol is on her blimp. Ekko has a X on his chest with Jynx’s colors. It’s been pointed out to me Jynx’s pose is similar to Ekko’s in the firelight music video in season 1. I really appreciate the Isha homages on the blimp too, including the bunny looking like it’s rocking out to the song.
yes I agree, tats how we know they spent a fair bit of time together preparing for war. :) But I actually think that pose was intentionally mirroring that of her pose sadly picking Jinx as her name in the first ep of season 1. Where as this Pose was the same but its more embraced the name wit a whole new meaning and swagger. Jinx, The leader of Zaun (at that moment). THats just my interpretation
You're one of the few reactors that catched that Jinx is alive from the first watch! That Caitlyn clue is not the only one either, there's many more! xD
@@araquiel3087 But it's the same grenade that she tried to use in the start of the episode, and that seemed genuine. Not sure if shimmer alone can boost someone's rezistance enough a point blank hextech grenade. Don't get me wrong I believe she is alive but realistically she shouldn't.
@@Phoenixillusion18 she pulled the pin and then immediately used her shimmer powers to use super speed to into the vents all before the explosion actually started. edit: She didn't "survive" the explosion she simple escaped the blast area before it happened
Cleaning up your own messes doesn't make you a hero. Jayce and Viktor were responsible for the Hextech causing problems in the first place - they don't get credit for trying to fix it later, as far as I'm concerned. And I still blame Jayce for what happened to Vander and Isha. Whatever "greater good" he was fighting for, they were lost because of him. I'm not just going to forget that.
@@LadyDoomsinger I get the first part but how are people going to blame Jayce and not Singed for Vander? He's the one who experemented with his body in the first place (heinous thing btw) and then injected Vander while Noxian dude was fighting Jinx and Cait. So even if Viktor wasn't blasted, he'd lose control because Singed already got to him. And if that didn't happen, he'd become Viktor's husk in Glorious evolution eventually since future Viktor basically confirmed to Jayce that there was no chance to prevent it except killing him. Out of Singed, Viktor and Jayce, the first two are more to blame and only one of them did it intentionally. And Isha died because Vander lost control so again... Singed
@@valeriyav2149 I am definitely blaming Singed for a lot of stuff too, don't get me wrong. That guy is literally the worst. But he only got the opening to get to Vander because Viktor died and it distracted Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn - he did not inject Vander while big dude was fighting Jinx (remember Vander stepped in to protect Jinx and was fully cognizant at the time, even spoke and hugged Jinx and Vi), it was only when they left the room to see what the screaming outside was about that Singed had his opening. Maybe Singed would've gotten to Vander either way, I don't know... But that doesn't change the fact that Jayce screwed them over with his attack. Just because one person is to blame for stuff going wrong, doesn't mean other people are blameless.
Well sure, but that dead looking Jinx on bridge and then seeing how Powder could have turned out if he had the guts to do something when they were still kids, shaked him. Ekko lost hope with the deaths of Vander and Bonzo, he lost the will to save anyone Powder included when she needed it the most, he said it himself that he was angry that the vision of Zaun did not happen but did nothing to help build it. Jinx turned out like this becouse he lacked motivation to help her out back then.
Arcane wasn't just a show. It was an experience. And Holy God, was it an amazing one. In the very first episode of the show, Powder saw a blimp and said "One day, I'm gonna ride one of those things." I strongly believe she's still alive. That last shot is there for a reason And jinx is walking away to break the cycle.
a small detail that i noticed only a second watch: each time godlike viktor gave different jayces with DIFFERENT rune patterns. The only pattern that got here was jayce's"time acceleration" rune that he uses for Gates, that ekko called out in episode 7 (he circled it on the board), and that by inverting it, it becomes the runes that "unwinds time", and that's exactly why THIS jayce who has THIS rune, is able to give it BACK to viktor finally, and u can see that "inverted" rune flying out of viktor and "undoing" the anomaly.
Silco's "office" is on the 2nd floor of vander's bar. The basement is where Vi and the others room. You can explore the place on Jinx's mini game called Jinx fixes everything on League client.
Imo, Jinx survived and chose to leave the source of her cycle of trauma. There's plenty of evidence: the streak of her shimmer flash just before Warwick(Vander) is blown up. During Caitlin's inspection of the Hexgates ventilation she smirks and in the midst of narration 'Our story is not over' the remnants of the monkey grenade is highlighted. In front of the fire she's conflicted when asking Vi if she's still in the fight, since she doesn't know whether or not it's best to inform her of what she knows. And there's influential scenes with Jinx where she listens even after stating they're too late. To Silco, while in the cell: 'I think the cycle only ends when one finds the will to walk away.' The known and unknown conversations between her and Ekko. 'No matter what happened in the past it's never too late to build something new.... Sometimes to make a leap forward you have to leave a few things behind.' Solidified with the final shot, being of a blimp Jinx imagined one day flying away on from the very beginning; 'One day I'm going to ride in one of those.'
One of the reasons I believe Jinx is alive is cuz Arcane loves making call backs. And Powder's first line in Episode 1 of the series other than "Woah" is "One day I'm going to ride in one of those things" towards the same airship we see as the closing scene of the final episode.
I like how u can see that in arcane noxus easily defeats piltovers organized military, but fail to fight against zaun beacause of their unpredictability
The pursuit of Hextech was necessary for the destruction of it. How freaking poetic. They needed to be brothers for Viktor to even have a chance to get out of insanity. The rendition of Viktors theme in the background was also soo soo good. You can recognize that melody anywhere.
The time thing Ekko has 'can't be' because it is using the same WHOLLY UNIQUE, one of a kind, Arcane core. It LITERALLY can't be. Ekko brought it from another world
We did see that Mel's opera house was putting on a play about the crowning of a Demacian king, and we saw a painting of one of Caitlyn's ancestors in Ionia, but as far as I know that's all the attention they were given in Arcane
Viktor didn't summon him to the future. I think Jayce's wrist rune is what caused it to act differently with him. Ekko and Heimerdinger got displaced because they weren't part of the equation of the hexgate. Jayce got catapulted.
I love your take on Jinx's "death". To me it was obvious she didn't die when they showed Caitlyn checking those drawings. Still sad though, because it seems she's no longer in Vi's and Ekko's lives, despite being alive :(
To me it looks like they're setting up both sides to grow and heal individually, to eventually reunite them later on down the road. Christian, one of the show's co-creators, has hinted that projects on the horizon would bring all four characters back, and Jinx's merch is hinting that she may be the first one to come back, as her merch has stuff written on it like "I'm alive" and "I'll be right back." Christian has also said that they're going to have to come back to Piltover and Zaun at some point as there's some champions that they didn't get to cover in Arcane, some of which would require a time skip. The way I see it, either Jinx will come back to Vi and Ekko when we go back to Piltover and Zaun, or something will happen which tips Vi and Ekko off to Jinx being alive and they go looking for her (or bump into her on accident).
something i enjoy about your videos is that you /actually/ react (like laugh out loud, scream, cry and everything) without getting distracted, it makes me feel less alone bc when i watched this with my fam they didn't even shed a tear while i was BAWLING since the beginning of this last arc lmaoo Might sound redundant (for a reaction video/channel at least) but i actually appreciate how genuine you are !! 🫂🫂🫂
If i told you S01E01 that someone in the lanes was going to be on the council, lots of us would have guessed Vander... 0% of us would have guessed Sevika.
@@Aaniel_al.Meara. sure but because she's the Zaun outsider more than likely the other councillors will quickly unit against her and use as a scapegoat and first person to blame when anything goes wrong. I don't see Sevika lasting long under that kind of pressure before reaching "f it im out"
I think the wild rune scattering them across timelines was outside of Viktor's control, he simply gave different versions of Jayce different runes and this just happened to be the correct one for Ekko to figure out his device that ended up saving our timeline. It was pure chance that it all worked out in the end.
However, that actually shows how systematic it was. He tried each one purposefully until one led to a different outcome like an experimenter (although not a controlled one 😅). He didn't expect that it would be what Ekko learned from Jayce from this rune and what Ekko did with it that was the solution. Viktor used trial-and-error to get the solution. It's also quite a bit against the idea Viktor suggested earlier this season that fate decides everything because it was only through Viktor's dedication to Jayce and trust in Jayce's potential that he made a choice that changed fate.
In retrospect, Maddie's little "Nice to know there's still good one's" speech she gave Vi at the beginning of the season comes across very ironically different now.
it was really fun watching the show with you Omn1, the compation you shared with the characters in the show was on the same lvl as me, 100%, 10/10 as always!
I feel like there is definitely a lot of layers to the timeline episode. In episode 7, Ekko and Heimerdinger are not only in a timeline without Vi but also a timeline without Jayce. And the inverse is the outcome of a timeline without Ekko's intervention. Remember that WITHOUT the z drive, Jayce was about to repeat the exact pose and outcome of the future he was thrusted to. Not only that but the specific rune that this Viktor gave to Jayce is the sole reason the z drive was able to be created. The function of the Z drive as per Ekko is an inverse of the same rune Jayce was given as a child and the root of hextech in this timeline. I think the surprise on present time Viktor of the z drive comes from the fact that at that point that type of rune function or ability did not exist and when he sees what his future self has to say to him, he comes full circle with the same quote he used against Singed -"Knowledge is a paradox. The more one understands, the more one realizes the vastness of his ignorance." It's interesting looking back the same episode he says this to singed is the same episode where he makes a "revelation" that sets him on the path of his ignorance of the pursuit of perfection. My personal theory is that future Viktor did not really travel multiple timelines or is even capable of this. I think he has been looped to a single timeline trying to use any rune to change the outcome of that particular timeline's future. This would explain his lack of knowledge about the z drive ( I believe he doesn't know about the z drive because he only mentions the importance of Jayce and never mentions how important if not VITAL Ekko is to "defeating" present time Viktor) or any awareness of vastly alternate timelines like the one without hextech. I think this also explains why Future Viktor's appearance changes because everytime he alters his timeline he is also changing.
Im usually very sceptical about theories about if someone survived in a show or not, and im usually on the side that doesnt believe in most , but i decided to check the clues myself and yeah, they are all spot on, there really is a purple/pink light that flashes before the grenade goes off, and the ship from episode 1 is the same exact one from the ending. It makes me happy to know she is somewhere out there, trying to make a new beggining.
Cool little detail: When Ekko is talking to Jinx at the start, the eye-liner on Jinx is washed down her cheek which forms the mirror image of "VI" and becomes "IV" which is also the Roman numeral for "4" as in the 4 seconds Ekko can rewind to.
10:20 I saw some people saw this was from Mel’s perspective, since she’s an empath that can see people as they are, and right as she sensed what was happening, she blocked the bullet even when she couldn’t see it.
News to me they have announced that the shows in production will be based in Noxus, Demacia and Ionia, but it makes sense since they are likely the biggest or at least most fleshed out territories in Runeterra. Also want to point out, you mentioned about 10 champions in this show, I counted up earlier, and there are 10 champions ORIGIN stories in this show alone, let alone the ones that were in the show otherwise. The other ones being all easter eggs or namedrops; Teemo, Janna, Leblanc, Swain, Jhin and there is even a KLED easter egg (the area he is posted in in the lore was mentioned by ambessa in Ep 5 of this season when talking to Singed).
Wait, for the LONGEST TIME I thought Ambessa puled that soldier onto her as a shield at 11:46 But nah! He actively throws himself onto her to protect her! Man, why do I love the red dudes so much? LMao
A small detail that I've seen people point out is that the Firefles were so good at dodging the projectile attacks because they spent so long fighting Jinx and her minigun
29:35 I love how while some counsel members are eyeing Sevika unapprovingly, Shoola who was there from the beginning and also took at least some part in the defense of the city (like yeah, it was one scene, but she was there) is backing here, and meeting those gazes alongside Sevika.
Definitely enjoy watching your reactions both for the reactions themselves but also for the thoughtful insights you give, especially coming from someone who knows LoL
There is also the moment when they fall just as the explosion begins a flash off to one side. Clever girl... Heimerdinger is alive since he's a Yordle. Also the showrunner in an interview said he's not done with Heimerdinger. It is likely Smeech is not dead since he is also a Yordle.
The scene with Caitlyn looking at the schematics of the hexgate also doesn't make sense if Jinx was intended to be dead, plus her holding the lid of the bomb in that scene implies that there wasn't a body as she had to have gone back to the hexgate to retrieve the lid. If there was a body, or remnants of a body, why would she be looking at the schematics.
anybody knows the pink streak after the explosion that is jinx cuz she still has shimmer and she's fast there's no way she did not die jinx always be the best character it cannot be over
You know what parallel really got to me? The one shot of machine herald with the halo (probably one of my favorite shots in all of Arcane now) and then you cut back to one of the first few shots of Viktor, where he is looking at the chalkboard and right in front of his head is a circle similar to the halo. I think that’s an awesome Easter egg for the fans of LoL and it will be a great symbol to look back at for those who aren’t as familiar with the games. Thank you for your reaction videos of this series, these ones have definitely been my favorite of all of them because you genuinely care about both the series and the games and you really go into detail about why everything works the way it does and it gives me greater insight as to what different things meant throughout the series and stuff I never would’ve thought of!
Not only that with the scratchy bit with the air ship. If you go frame by frame as Jinx and Vander fall, right at the end, you see a blue streak away from Vander. I think that it covers only 2 frames so its easy to miss.
One of my favorite series ever! I’m going to miss Jayce and Victor so much 😭. I was hoping Jayce would make it out but I think they needed both their strength for it. Also maybe I forgot but I always thought that Jinx’s hideout was just a big old vent fan, so when that came flying into view that was such a hype surprise!
I think it was Episode 1, Powder/ Jinx tells Vi and the gang she wants to ride an airship, and the last scene is her on an airship doing exactly what Silco told her to do, break the cycle, walk away, and start over.
In keeping with Singed being at the center of everything, he basically gave Viktor the mind virus of thinking he had to be alone to accomplish great things...Jayce was the cure. Even at the end, when he sees himself give Jayce the gem, his instinct is to push Jayce away, but Jayce won't let him.
@@ninjatoriumnova2483 Agreed. Considering how Noxus tends to (forcibly) insert itself into the geopolitics of Runeterra, I feel like it's going to be something of a recurring faction in the Arcaneverse.
Hoping Ionia first, cause one of the things of Demacia (that I'm aware) is that they have this thing of hunting down mages and even have a guy that can be considered like Silco/Jinx with a whole revolution, so it would feel rather repeating what happened in Piltover
Arcane has been one wild ride! Season 1 and 2 were really just great shows and I am looking forward to what Riot and Fortiche do next. Even if it will probably be 6 years before they do anything again.
Jinx literally said she couldn't die, and only everyone around her was dying. And even at the end, when she wanted to help by taking Warwick with her, I think the remnants of his mind, which helped him come to life unlike the rest of Victor's dolls, allowed him to save Jinx by pushing her into the ventilation shaft and thus fulfilling her words again.
Also danke dafür!
Jinx killing herself really broke me, i cried so hard. Usually those who wants to kill themselves needs someone to save them deep down inside. She's really done with her life :(
If you freeze in the first tiny frame of explosion, you can see a pink lightning escaping the explosion at the nick of time, that adding the conversations with ghost Silco and Ekko, and the fact that Caitlyn was watching the schematics of the Hex Gate, focusing in the ventilation shafts, and also the blimp that go away to the see is a fair assumption, and is very probably to assume that Jinx is still alive and leaving both cities, she is not dead.
Caitlyn was also holding the lid of Jinx's bomb, too, implying that she had to have gone back to the hexgate to retrieve it and that Jinx's body, or remnants of it, weren't there. If there was, she wouldn't be looking at the schematics of the hexgate.
I cried a lot in this finale and loved the season but I do have two major flaws one is the pacing especially 8 and 9 and the second flaw is the new side characters and how they were used imo. You are the reactor that jinx is alive and there are three hints: powder in episode one says she dreamed that she will ride a air ballon, cait is searching for her, and in the first frame of the explosion we see a purple line going the air duct. Ecco is the mvp
I'm still reeling from this finale. I cheered when that bullet came back to hit Maddie, traitor that she always was. So much was just so good. Caitlyn sacrificing her eye to help Mel defeat Ambessa, Jace and Viktor's clothes turning back to their academy uniforms before they faded from existence , Jinx's entrance to the fight, everything that Ekko did. I really hope that Vi and Cait have Ekko over for dinners/hang outs because the guy needs friends around desperately after all that. Jinx is so alive at the end and on that airship. Something to give you more pain Vi's tumbler glass at the end is Vander's. There's a quote that I thought regarding Vi and Jinx/Powder doomed to be sisters for one to live without the other and it can also apply to Jayce/Viktor too (Whether you just see them as platonic lab partners or you think there was something deeper with them) “the love was there. it didnt change anything. it didnt save anyone. but it still matters that the love was there. " Oh and hi Swain. xDD
Jinx is actually alive, during the explosion u can see a pink shimmer line that happens when jinx zoom away, and previous episodes in the prison silco says to break the cycle by walking away, and during season 1 powder says she wants to ride the balloon one day so at the end they show us the balloon going away and closing the end in jinx style.
Alright, I'll just preface this, as some people seem to get really butt hurt when people bring up the fact that characters might still be alive. But much like a lot of people out there, I genuinely think that not many of them DID die. I'm pretty sure out of everyone through out the ending who... "died" only one of them actually did. I'm a firm believer of if you don't see the body, they're probably still alive. The only one for sure is Ambessa. So lets breakdown the others. Jinx, if you pause it at the moment of the explosion, you clearly see a streak of purple/pink moving away just before the explosion. Couple that with Cait looking at Hexgate vents where she fell and then the last shot of the blimp, the same type that Powder said she wanted to ride at the start of the show. As well as the "talk" with Silco, where he told her that the only way to break the cycle is to walk away. Waaay too much evidence pointing to her living. She pulled a Loki and removed herself from the people she cared about. Viktor & Jayce, these guys are literally magic now and probably teleported somewhere by Jayce's gem with the hextech. Probably inside the gem now where that crow was poking at. Which hints at where the story might go next. Warwick, motherf*cker survived one explosion before, a super charged one at that. In his new form where he seems to be MORE dourable, doubt he's dead either. Heimerdinger, again if he died I would have expected a body or dust left in his place. He probably teleported somewhere else after linking the time-machine. Overall, amazing show. A piece of literal art come to life and I cannot wait for where the show heads too next. I'm hoping to continue Mel's story and the Black Rose storyline. Also Singed, the war criminal being the only one that got a happy ending is crazy.
I think it's literally just Ambessa that died, all the rest have other explanations for how they could survive. Jinx, Viktor, Jayce I completely agree with. Warwick, that explosion only had one gem whereas Isha's had three and he more or less survived that explosion, barely, but regardless his body will probably get recovered by Singed who might in turn use even more wolf parts to heal him, pushing him towards his full wolf look in League. Heimerdinger's race are immortal, they teleport back to the spirit realm if they're body dies.
Youre the first person who actually picked up on the clues that Jinx is still alive lol
I wouldn't say "first person" as much as the first Reaction Channel.
and yet he missed everything else
@@zurielbabida8162 He only missed stuff he couldn't know without knowing the game lore
canonically. the only character from this series that cannot die is Heimer, cause the whole yordles thing. But I truly think considering that the studio already said this arc of LoL shows is done, that Jinx is got the finale she wanted without Ekko intervening
@@IMGOSCHLEEP Don't forget Smeech he is also a Yordle.
Jayce and Viktor are literal soulmates, here and in every timeline. I don't care if it's platonic or romantic, but their final scene was so intimate and full of love and just so incredibly beautiful
No matter what type of love it is it made me sob 😭
yeah it was such a beautiful scene with everything coming full circle, even Viktors theme song in the back. Ray Chen killed it
It's def platonic wich make it even more beautifull in my opinion. It shows that relationships in general are the CORE of being a human.
THIS!!!!
I love this implication!
She was a spy from the get go. Ambessa said she can’t keep an eye on Caitlyn and Maddie is the reason why
It’s crazy how singed is the only character in this *whoooooole* show who *actually* won
Ugh, you're right haha He got everything he wanted lol or so he thinks! Assuming they keep some of the lore or not
Ekko kinda did too, because he got the two things he always wanted to: Jinx redeemed herself, and he saw Zaun and Piltover come together as one. And of course he saved the world
But in the end, he lost the Powder who could’ve been. The one he was introduced to, and realized he loved.
Jinx: Ambessa you're a villain alright, just not a super one.
Ambessa: Yeah? What's the difference?
Jinx: PRESENTATION!
Yeeeees! It is! 😂 Megamind 😅
Fun fact the guy who did the im the monster you created song in 1x9 also did one of the big songs in mega mind
are you kidding me? Ambessa has the FIERCEST presence and aesthetic. I love it.
Thank you! I was waiting for someone to realize this was the correct rune for Ekko (and Jayce) to succeed with.
OMG I'VE BEEN CRYING THE WHOLE WEEKEND BC OF JAYVIK AND THIS HIT ME LIKE A TRAIN 😭😭😭😭
I'm glad I'm not the only one who got emotional as hell during that final sequence with jayce and viktor
dw i cried for like 2 hours straight, you're not alone lol
Those two frames of Maddie pulling the trigger is a really interesting way to showcase Mel's "empath" powers. She could truly sense Maddie's SINISTER intentions, and gave her some fucking karma
That's a good point since it comes right before her barrier because also notice she didn't put the barrier around Caitlyn, she encased Maddie.
That whole sequence between Jayce and Viktor at the end, the score there… God, it just gives me such Interstellar vibes. Truly phenomenal.
The art styles says otherworldly. Man, the animators went insane with this season.
Everyone close to Vi seems to recognize by the end that Vi can't let go of people, literally ever.. its kind of a personality flaw as much as it is a strength, she fights so hard to keep people safe.. because she's /terrified/ of losing them..
Honestly by the end of the series Jinx has become a lot more mature and emotionally strong in a lot of ways than Vi is in my mind
That whole last fight and the way Jinx talks to Vi is literally a goodbye "I'm always with you, even if we're worlds apart."
She was always going to leave, because as long as she stays she knows that Vi is going to keep protecting her, and when it comes to it that is always going to ruin things for Vi or put her in a complicated position because just like her getting arrested after saving Cait it doesn't matter how much good she does.
Vi forgives her, even Cait may have forgiven her, since she literally enabled Vi to break her out of prison, but there are a ton of people who won't, she has killed a ton of people, she blew up half the council, "No amount of good deeds can erase our crimes."
People say "then Cait should be jailed too" but.. really? theres a huge difference between what Cait did and literally blowing up at the very least dozens of people, gleefully and without remorse
Jinx is my favorite character, but no one would have let her have peace if she had stayed even though she deserved a second chance by the end.
Yeah, this show definitely needed 3 more episodes per act, even though Act 1 was perfect pacing wise.
Its incredible how they managed to tell such a story in just 18 episodes.
28:53 you can see the shimmer trail from Jinx's eyes right before the explosion. She indeed faked her death so she could walk away to break the cycle.
you're one of the only people who expressed so much emotion at the first scene - you teared up for the person who was ready to die (unalive herself) multiple times; i appreciate you fam
there are people who actually called that scene cringe and lazy. I was like what the hell are these people on. That was the most epic payoff to ep 7ever
Yeah I was watching other people react to this episode and their reactions to someone very obviously deeply suicidal was really off putting as someone who has been there myself; I had to turn some of them off cause they were just laughing and it was really uncomfortable when you're feeling the gravity of the scene lol
they are the folks that have never been there and have no comprehension. :( it hit me VERY hard.

Heimerdinger last ep: "Inconceivable! No, I mean it literally cannot work." (or something like that)
Viktor (upon seeing Ekko's device): "That device can't be."
As far as I'm concerned, Ekko is the mvp of this show (with the assist from Heimerdinger, of course). He deserved more screentime though. Maybe in one of the other shows set within this universe he'll reappear?
Ekko really came in clutch this season!
"I grew up knowing I'm less than them, that my place is down there"
"If my own family won't help me, I'll find someone who will"
"No one's ever believed in me either"
etc etc
I think that final scene with Jayce and Viktor proves that despite all their grand dreams and lofty ambitions, all most of our characters have really wanted from the very beginning is to find someone who really sees and understands them, who recognizes their worth as human beings and believes in them enough to make them believe in themselves
And I think most of them got to experience that before the end, which is beautiful despite all the tragedy
"I thought maybe you could love me like you used to, even though I'm... different,"
Jayvik nation we won, but at what cost

Undisputed fact that Ekko was the MVP in all of Arcane, The Boy Savior literally saved the world. Also when Arcane Jesus, who's seen it all through time and space looks at your work and goes "no fucking way" ("That device can't be") you know you're the GOAT
Everybody can fight about everything EXCEPT the fact that Ekko is truly the GOAT
@@LadyDoomsingerA weird hill to die on but Ekko is still far and away the GOAT

Fun little detail: the blimp Jinx and Ekko ride in on is Jinx's home.
Damn I didn't even notice! lmao
It's not a blimp 😁
That Caitlyn clue is not the only one either, there's many more! xD

Jayce's official title is The Defender of Tomorrow, in game. I just hink him and Viktor are defending the tomorrow of as many timelines as they can.
same thought. I imagine them jumping into different universes and trying to solve the hextech issues there
Cleaning up your own messes doesn't make you a hero.
@@LadyDoomsingerRight coz jayce not being there would've changed a lot with ambessa and singed and the noxians out camp with the plan to get Viktor.
Ambessa probably, realizing Caitlyn is a lesbian into girls with reddish hair: ".......oh I have the perfect tool for this"
I'm convinced it was Ekko seeing Silco that convinced him to give main timeline Jinx another chance.
Yep, I mentioned the game last video. I've been playing it between acts. Sad Act 3 isn't out yet
12:42 Sickest character design I've ever seen.
Yeah there‘s plenty of hints, it‘s just it makes no sense
@@JustCauseFan How?

One of the reasons I believe Jinx is alive is cuz Arcane loves making call backs. And Powder's first line in Episode 1 of the series other than "Woah" is "One day I'm going to ride in one of those things" towards the same airship we see as the closing scene of the final episode.
What I still don’t understand about that is that Warwick still had her in his grip.
jinx and ekko showing up is the new greatest entrance of all time
I like how u can see that in arcane noxus easily defeats piltovers organized military, but fail to fight against zaun beacause of their unpredictability
LMAO "sorry Greg"
Actually, that was Bob.
The pursuit of Hextech was necessary for the destruction of it. How freaking poetic. They needed to be brothers for Viktor to even have a chance to get out of insanity. The rendition of Viktors theme in the background was also soo soo good. You can recognize that melody anywhere.
Lovers actually
The time thing Ekko has 'can't be' because it is using the same WHOLLY UNIQUE, one of a kind, Arcane core. It LITERALLY can't be. Ekko brought it from another world
We did see that Mel's opera house was putting on a play about the crowning of a Demacian king, and we saw a painting of one of Caitlyn's ancestors in Ionia, but as far as I know that's all the attention they were given in Arcane
Oooo nice catches!
Viktor didn't summon him to the future. I think Jayce's wrist rune is what caused it to act differently with him. Ekko and Heimerdinger got displaced because they weren't part of the equation of the hexgate. Jayce got catapulted.
ekko and jinx’s entrance in the battle is the sickest thing ever
I love your take on Jinx's "death". To me it was obvious she didn't die when they showed Caitlyn checking those drawings. Still sad though, because it seems she's no longer in Vi's and Ekko's lives, despite being alive :(
Her being with Vi and Ekko would have caused more damage at this point than staying. Maybe after a few years, she can visit once things cooled down.

I need to rewatch the entire series from scratch, buy the 4K steelbook of both seasons, and buy the art book YESTERDAY
I like your theory. I think I'll adopt it.
Jynx when she's 0/4 on the alive dad score: 3:34
Wait, for the LONGEST TIME I thought Ambessa puled that soldier onto her as a shield at 11:46
But nah! He actively throws himself onto her to protect her! Man, why do I love the red dudes so much? LMao
I'm so obsessed with Viktor and Jayce man
A small detail that I've seen people point out is that the Firefles were so good at dodging the projectile attacks because they spent so long fighting Jinx and her minigun
Great reaction, thoughtful closing words, you really pickup on things that are not obvious on first watch. Thank you.
Glad you picked up on a lot of the stuff other reactors kind of just missed or just completely did not consider
was anxiously waiting for this upload!! Such a phenomenal series
Also, if you look closely when Maddy shoots, Mel puts a shield around Maddy after the initial ricochet allowing the round to hit her several times.
29:35 I love how while some counsel members are eyeing Sevika unapprovingly, Shoola who was there from the beginning and also took at least some part in the defense of the city (like yeah, it was one scene, but she was there) is backing here, and meeting those gazes alongside Sevika.
A great reaction to a great series finale. Thank you; I'm looking forward to seeing what this studio produces next.
That was a perfect reaction 😢 i cryd in every time i re watch jinx scene
Definitely enjoy watching your reactions both for the reactions themselves but also for the thoughtful insights you give, especially coming from someone who knows LoL
Jinx rolling up in her freaking house, amazing, lol.
When the explosion happens with jinx you can see a streak of pink heading towards the air ducts that could be jinx
The flashback also isnt from jinx pov its from vanders. Meaning its a vander/warwick flashback, *cough cough* there still small pieces in there..
Maddie's betrayal to death scene is such a whirlwind of emotions!
JayVik is so beautiful Y^Y
Arcane may be over now, but more shows are to come.
Our adventures in Runeterra will continue.
I think we’re heading to Noxus next.
They mentioned Noxus, Ionia and Demacia today, possibly in one show, possibly more.
@@ninjatoriumnova2483 Agreed. Considering how Noxus tends to (forcibly) insert itself into the geopolitics of Runeterra, I feel like it's going to be something of a recurring faction in the Arcaneverse.
Swains raven is a clue lol
Hoping Ionia first, cause one of the things of Demacia (that I'm aware) is that they have this thing of hunting down mages and even have a guy that can be considered like Silco/Jinx with a whole revolution, so it would feel rather repeating what happened in Piltover
Makes sense, they effectively set up Mel as a character over these two seasons and she's sailed off in Noxian colours.
Arcane has been one wild ride! Season 1 and 2 were really just great shows and I am looking forward to what Riot and Fortiche do next. Even if it will probably be 6 years before they do anything again.
Swain's crow at the end
I sure that could be anyones 3 eyed, six eye? raven
@@alexworoniecki7231probably Raum.
your review made me feel a lot better gosh i was so heartbroken 😭
Jinx literally said she couldn't die, and only everyone around her was dying. And even at the end, when she wanted to help by taking Warwick with her, I think the remnants of his mind, which helped him come to life unlike the rest of Victor's dolls, allowed him to save Jinx by pushing her into the ventilation shaft and thus fulfilling her words again.
Also danke dafür!
hi you are one of my favorite youtubers and your points and your sharpnes are all on point thanks for a great reaction
This wild rose may have pruned a single flower, but, the garden is vast. The Black Rose will bloom once more.
30:00 That, was Grand-General😏
"It's not a blimp,"
- Caitlyn
Caitlyn was also holding the lid of Jinx's bomb, too, implying that she had to have gone back to the hexgate to retrieve it and that Jinx's body, or remnants of it, weren't there. If there was, she wouldn't be looking at the schematics of the hexgate.
Jinx is alive
please don’t spoil
@@WHOSNIK PFFT, what? How... is that a spoiler? If people are watching this, I assume they've already watched the show.
@WHOBEOM how the hell is that a spoiler
Presumed alive, you don't have concern evidence that she is alive
@@Invader_Rin13bc there’s no evidence she’s alive
I cried a lot in this finale and loved the season but I do have two major flaws one is the pacing especially 8 and 9 and the second flaw is the new side characters and how they were used imo. You are the reactor that jinx is alive and there are three hints: powder in episode one says she dreamed that she will ride a air ballon, cait is searching for her, and in the first frame of the explosion we see a purple line going the air duct. Ecco is the mvp
Awesome breakdown and review!
As soon as I can, buying the soundtrack and buying the physical media of season 1 & 2
Jinx always wanted to ride a sky ship like the one at the end 👀
when i tell you i was left sobbing on my couch in the dark for the next hour i am not over exaggerating
Oh and hi Swain. xDD
13:46 "sorry Greg" 🤣🤣🤣
Jinx is actually alive, during the explosion u can see a pink shimmer line that happens when jinx zoom away, and previous episodes in the prison silco says to break the cycle by walking away, and during season 1 powder says she wants to ride the balloon one day so at the end they show us the balloon going away and closing the end in jinx style.
fun fact! the 3 eyed crow at the end is a nod to swain from League. he might be coming in one of the spin-offs.
Does confirming or denying something according to league lore count as a spoiler?
I think it's literally just Ambessa that died, all the rest have other explanations for how they could survive. Jinx, Viktor, Jayce I completely agree with. Warwick, that explosion only had one gem whereas Isha's had three and he more or less survived that explosion, barely, but regardless his body will probably get recovered by Singed who might in turn use even more wolf parts to heal him, pushing him towards his full wolf look in League. Heimerdinger's race are immortal, they teleport back to the spirit realm if they're body dies.
